I have a bottle of the 2017 (#4 sip awhile). On the nose I get leather, sweet pipe tobacco, vanilla (lots), oak, slight caramel, slight baking spice. Taste is strong on the oak, although it's really hot (neat), I get a sweet caramel-type flavor, with vanilla, and more spice. I feel the finish is long, with a oak/tannin feel, dark fruits, and more vanilla. I have tasted different bottles of Booker's, and I agree that there is a lot of variation between bottlings.
Really expensive at the bars I go to, around $20 a shot. I always get this neat because of that. I don't like cutting expensive shots, personally. By the way, you should review the 25 year old Chivas if you haven't already. It's $150 a shot at my bar... would be good to know what to expect.
I'm working on a 2014_05 bottle now. Talk about a big bourbon. My example is Carmel and vanilla to the nose. Great sniff, much more complex on the tongue. The heat is there on the front but gives way yo brown sugar and finishes bold with hints of leather and smoke. I'm really enjoying this selection. The only barrel proof I rated higher was the Colonel E H Taylor BP 129 proof. Booker's made my top bourbons of 2014. Cheers
Great review, Brooker's is the one of the finest on the market at a reasonable price. Gives Jefferson's Ocean a run for their money. One negative comment, the advertisement takes away from the review and you loose your concentration. Will never buy any Liberty products.
Came across your channel a few days ago and have watched many of your reviews, very informative! Keep up the good work my friend :)
Thank you.

Bookers bourbon is a long time favorite of mine. Over rocks is best. I find it in New Jersey for $55 a bottle. Worth every cent
Found out the hard way about drinking it neat, wish I watch this review first !!!!!

I don't think I've seen him more excited to pour a whiskey than he did for this one

Bookers is an amazing bourbon, one of the best for sure! Try it in a mint julep, its phenomenal!
Tried a 2015-04 Booker's. Liked it a lot, preferred it to the Baker's
In my batch I get all vanilla and caramel. very nice. very cereal.
I also have a 2014-05. Haven't had too many tastes yet. Big, chewy whiskey

Could you please go into more detail or (reference a video in which you have) about the cask side and yeast side of burbons?
