Horst, Jut found you here online earlier today and i must say you bring an amazing level of quality to each and every review you put out. Absolutely love it! The best whisky reviews on UA-cam!

Nice review. I like sherry-matured whiskies and therefore am fond of Glendronach whiskies. Haven't had any of their "special" wood finish bottles, though.

How does the 18yo tawny port compare to the 15yo tawny port?

Have had and enjoyed the 12 & 15 year-old bottlings.

Great review! Did Glendronach discontinue the 15yr Tawny Port?

There are always limited bottlings with the finishings. But you typically find them again a year later.

+Eric Swenson Yes, 15 year is discontinued. Glendronach was mothballed from 1996-2002. So the Tawny Port 18 coming out in 2014 represents the whisky casked in 1996. The Tawny Port 15 which came in 2011 represented the same whisky casked in 1996. You won't see another 15 year old Glendronach of any kind until 2018 when the 2002 caskings hit the market as 15 year olds. This is when Glendronach will bring back the 15 year old Revival (which is temporarily discontinued as well).
