I picked a bottle of this up at Jim Beam a few weeks ago. Two things I'm SHOCKED you haven't mentioned is cherries and vanilla. The nose to me is a cherry flavored sugar cookie with a little nuttiness. Taste is cherry, vanilla, caramel, and oak. I'll definitely buy another bottle.
Absolutely. I think the issue is they are sampling the neck pour. My later pours showed a lot of sour fruit on the nose. Palate was nutty with some tart baked goods
I can't believe you guys brought up "it used to be 60". Yea like 6 years ago, everyone hating on Bookers for the big price increase. But pricing of everything else has caught up already.
Totally agree with you, but for some reason it always seems to be an issue with Booker's drinkers (or former drinkers). Personally, I just think it's because it comes from the largest Bourbon maker, Jim Beam.
Just bought mine yesterday! First Bookers I've been lucky enough to get. Living in a liqour control state makes it tough. We just got them in a couple days ago
I can't see myself getting any new bookers batches at $100. Especially when Larceny BP fills a very similar niche in flavor profiles for me, and is 20-30 bones cheaper
I bought this at the distillery itself and I unfortunately had to pay $115 to get it. However, this is not released in my area and the only way for me to obtain it. Hoping it was worth it.
I enjoyed this batch of Bookers. For me it all depends on how much of a nutty note I get from a Beam product. The less the better. Appreciate the review

Overall, we are big fans of Booker's. Haven't found this one yet, other than secondary prices at stores, so we will pass for now. But it's always fun tasting the different Booker's batches! Thanks for sharing.
