Due to war time in Lebanon it was 100% guaranteed that if you buy a Mercedes S class it will be stolen and most probably you will see it driving around by the thieves who stole it but if you favour dear life you will keep quiet and just curse those people. Any Lebanese who is reading my comment knows exactly who I am talking about….
Yes, in countries where right-hand drive is used, a right-hand drive version was sold. These vehicles are still available and in use in those countries. Thank you for your comment!
@@IconMotors-j7g yes indeed, i had 78 280SE RHD in Australia and drove it daily, had 1,634,804 on the odometer before the odometer stopped working, and that was the ONLY thing that stopped working!! The car was incredibly reliable, never spent a cent on it other than a yearly fluids change.
@@CaseTheCorvetteMan Truly exceptional, durable, and timeless vehicles-each one a piece of history. For Mercedes-Benz, the odometer is merely a formality. Thank you for your comment; the thoughts and memories of those who have owned or experienced these vehicles are incredibly valuable.
@@CaseTheCorvetteMan I currently drive a 77 280SE RHD down under too haha. Impressive to get a petrol to 1.6mil km. What sort of fuel economy were you getting then?
@ was a long time ago mate but it wasn't terrible economy, had plenty of power if you made it take off in first gear. Was a great car, very very well made!
I disagree with saying the rear seats are spacious with ample legroom. They aren't haha. On the long wheelbase versions (SEL) sure, extra 100mm room, but the normal versions are not so spacious.

Yes, since I can't speak, I use AI for voiceovers. We're just a small channel, and it seems that the general sales figures, engine power, and the opinions we share have bothered you. You even felt the need to call our work 'a salad.' We invite you to watch all our videos and, if you have superior knowledge, we'd love for you to share it with us
A jaguar xj12, was faster 0-60 and on top speed. Rode and handled better and was nicer looking, it was also cheaper. And wasn't mistaken for a Pakistani taxi.
@Romiman1 only when it went to America, where their mechanics have neither the knowhow or sophistication to look after them. The engines and box are bombproof
@Romiman1 Nope the engine is bombproof and the box was an GM 500. People with no money bought them and couldn't maintain them. Lots of Pakistanis could look after their mercedes taxis.
Had a 280SE. It was rusty and thirsty. But it rode fantastic and I loved it.
They sure look nice in non-US form. I'd love to get a Euro-spec 450SE. I think they're beautiful!
Extraordinary car

Stacked headlights??? W108, yes, W116, uh, maybe proofread your script before posting a video
Thanks for the great video. The lady in the blue dress should have gotten more screen time though.
Yes I agree
Is there any right-hand drive?

@stringer-ik1pc And how about "Lukas Electric", the "prince of darkness"
("flicker, dim, off ...")
The Pakistani took Mercedes as cab for a reason...
