I like hearing people's opinions on the 2 because i'm new to the whole video editing i used Premiere for the 1st 6 months and now I'm using Final Cut to see if I like FCPX and long story short I've already switched to FCPX it's just better for my flow
That's great man! And honestly it is more of preference really. Both are very capable of giving you the results you need. Some people will work better in FCPX, and some in Premiere. I definitely encourage people to have a feel of both and see what works for you.
Hey do you freelance like I'm kinda confused too. Becuz I find most people look for adobe software editors so I'm in confusion will I get client is I choose to learn fcp. If you can help me regarding these. Drop a reply 👍
7:12 "Stay there. I will tell you when to move." Haha, perfect! I decided to try out Final Cut just on a whim today and coming from premiere, nothing about the way final cut works is making any sense to me.
Also Premiere only reads FCP6 XML - yes the previous version of Final Cut. FCPXML is obviously for FCP 10 and Adobe won't import that without a third party. So I don't think the ability to only read a 10 year old standard is anything to shout about
I like FCP very much. Also I paid it one time I don‘t know how many years ago and it is free since then. No ridiculously monthly fee. Pair it with Motion, Photos, Pixelmator Pro, Garage Band and so on, then you have everything and more for your workflow.
My primary tools - FCP, Resolve, Replaced much of AE with Apple Motion, Pixelmator instead of Photoshop (usually, but not for everything). Takes less memory and so much more responsive. Use Intelligent Assistance products for dealing with XMLs between FCP and Premiere. I prefer FCP. It's just very liberating doesn't feel stuck in the past with tracks and the way it works. FCP takes time to get used to and you have to unlearn NLE conventions to realize the benefits and efficiency of FCP, less bug too. Good luck and thank you for the video. Do what works for you.
Even though I still primarily use Premiere Pro, I still find myself tempted to open FCP 😅. It’s just more appealing. However I have to go through an unlearn/learn process to get up to speed with it. Will see. Cheers!
I much prefer the current Final Cut Pro. I hated it when it first came out and switched from FCP7 to premiere and media composer but current version of FCP is IMO much more fun, inspiring to use, user friendly and fast than Premiere. Both are great though, I made the move mainly based on avoiding the subcription model of Premiere 💸🙅🏻♂️.
I must say the subscription model of Premiere is quite taxing 😅. FinalCut is a winner when it comes to the once off payment. But overall both are good. It's about preference and workflow at the end of the day. FCPX is definitely well optimised & fast.
To be honest. Both are great and will get most jobs done. It's purely going to be up to your preference and workflow. Use both for some weeks and once you feel like the other is better, stick to that one.
Just wanted to say there is a way to turn off the magnetic timeline, I’m not sure how as I’m a native Mac user and I enjoy the feature, but I have heard that it’s a setting you can turn off. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this video. I have used the Adobe suite for over 5 years. I was considering using FinalCut. Even downloaded the 90 Day trial. Staying with Adobe 👊🏾
I've only started making videos and editing and I must say that Premiere Pro is not as difficult to navigate and use as most people on the internet say.
I agree (hopefully not out of bias), lol. At the end of the day one has to just try it out for themselves and see what's better for them. I love Premiere!
How I wish I could get my hands on the new MacBook Pro right now! As soon as I get my hands on it (fingers crossed), you can expect a comparison review.
FCP is way easier to use, I used Premiere since 4.2 and switched as soon as I bought a Mac. 🖥️
Premiere Pro crashes too much. Premiere Pro is not for me. If i need windows, then I will use Avid Media Composer .
windows guy stick to PR ...no mac no FCP

Totally agree, you can work way faster and 1000 times more intuitive.

I honestly love FCP for it's pricing model. It's a good deal.

Just hold P down when you move clips to stop the Magnetic Timeline moving up
Oh great! Thank you for this.

I am currently between fcpx and premiere. Ive no idea which to pick

don't listen to this guy ... he does not have the FCP experience ... by the way FCP pay once and its yours ... not like Adobe ...
Hey its been one year you have commented ☺️ what you had choose. Pls reply if you r reading
Amateur content creator and going to do the trial of FCP. Thanks for this video!
My absolute pleasure!

✊🏾✊🏾 awesome! Yeah Adobe is home for me!
another one 😂 ... took your personal test, FCP is the best tool but you have to learn how to use it and this guy obviously doesn't know shit

I used Premiere Pro to edit this.
Dope set mate 👌
Thanks bro!
Welcome into the light. FCPX is king.
🔥🔥
Zie! Nice one man
Thanks brother!
Good stuff man! I use FCPX for my channel but just built a powerful PC so I might be switching to resolve or premiere soon.
Ohh that's great! All the best with the switch 😀
don't do it! learn how to use FCP ... its awesome, Premiere sucks ... it really does suck
Can you buy the new MacBook Pro highest spec and do some import rendering tests - comparison with FCPX and Premiere and After effects
