  • E-167 Derek installs the hinges and shows you how to skin a door, along with getting the drivers side quarter panel in place. He needed to make a copy of the sub-rail extension piece before continuing the passenger side. To watch this video, click the link below. Next week work will continue on building this 1932 Ford Brookville Roadster, made from seconds.

    If the "Camera Lady" like I do, has issues with the noise you make while tin banging, try draping a moving blanket over the item, it will significantly dampen the noise from the tin banging.

    Hi Derek, That lip you used to clamp the boot rail to is the one missing on mine . what is the measurement to make a new lip , how far to set the boot rail down from the top of 1/4 panel.

    Great videos. Do you ever paint rust inhibitor in the doors skin before you join the inner and outer skins? Thank you.

      I guess it's never a bad idea to paint the backside of the doors before assembly. I did on my model A and 32 pickup. Brookville doesn't do it on their bodies. For cars that are going to see the full weather and seasons I would definitely paint the insides. For hot rods made from new metal like this that will most likely never see bad weather and spend their winters in heated garages I don't think it's as important. Still if you have it and you can it's a good thing.

    Hold up. While I get to see 'almost' all of your video's, I seem to have missed something. There are another[?] two '32 Coupes in the shop? I remember the two that you rebuilt from stuff that even I would have scrapped, but you finished those two, ... and now you have another two? Or am I missing something?

      We are re-running out roadster build as some of people have asked us to. We will be starting an original 32 roadster build hopefully in the next month as soon as we can get a bay empty.

      @@coldstreamrodshop Thank you, & I can appreciate what you have written, but what's the deal with, what looked to me, to be two '32 coupes in your workshop. Do you have a secret garden where you grow these things from discarded parts?

    • @coldstreamrodshop
      @coldstreamrodshop  6 місяців тому

      @@KB10GL both coupes belonged to friends. Yes there were 2 at the same time. Both have been collecting 32 stuff for most of their lives. I keep asking them the same thing. Where do you find it? I know they spend lots of time networking and wheeling and dealing all over Canada and the US. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to know them and they trust me to work on their stuff.
