Wow you just saved me. I have a Ferris 500s and come to find out it’s identical to the simplicity pretty much. I was searching everywhere because the manual said I had to take it in for service. My extension spring broke which caused the belt to come loose from the transmission drive belt. You just saved me the trip from taking the mower into the service department and probably a couple hundred $$. Thank you for posting this!
If you look at 1:04 of this video, it's labeled as the "transmission drive belt" for my series. You'll note even then there are two part numbers, so for me it's the one with the suspension. Not knowing what mower you have, I'd be looking for a similar sticker that you see in this video. Barring that, a good lawn mower shop can take your model and serial number and look up the part for you.
