Leach is the best offensive mind in college football. He’s also the most blunt and entertaining Head Coach in college football. WSU is lucky to have him.
@Rick Nash Or maybe they struggle to recruit great defensive players because ya know, they're Washington St. One of the least desirable places to go in the pac, other than Oregon St. Even Oregon St is better now that Washington state was when Leach took over.

WSU did not play "as well" in the 2nd half but they did not fold either. Pretty sure that happened to DTR about halfway through the 3rd QTR tonight. That and the mistakes on the WSU side was all it took. DTR is going to be one to watch from now on. Amazing performance tonight. As for WSU, no excuses, you had them down by 32 points and left the door open. Hopefully it sinks in because you can still win the PAC12 with one loss. Go Cougs!!!
Defense has been struggling all year not making strong tackles. Special teams collapse, played like they were afraid to make a tackle. To be up on them huge on points, and lose them, its embarrassing.
Hands down the most intelligent coach in the country. It's sad that he is stuck at WSU because he would absolutely be a championship coach almost anywhere else.

I love his attitude about 570 passing and 9 Touchdowns "I hope every defense plays us like that." LMAO! He was so pissed at the lack of second half execution, there was no way he was giving one single player a real compliment. Mike Leach teams are like a high end super car that is not very well balanced. Sometimes you'll haul ass around the track, and records get shattered. Sometimes you can't keep the car on the track at all. Sometimes you spin out and hit the wall. Personally, I'm happy with what he's done with the program. It was a toilet when he took it over. And guessing you didn’t watch the game. If you would’ve then you’d know why it turned out this way. One play in the 3rd really turned the game and as usual the Pac-12 refs sucked. WSU defense didn’t play well after half at all.
100% correct. There are times when you should just run the ball and kill the clock. Safe play call would have been Borghi 3Xs then punt if he doesn't get the first down.Game over unless you give the ball back to them, which they did. Leach will always be aggressive and throw the ball. Live by the sword, die by it sometimes too.Was one heck of a game to watch either way but I definitely would have liked to see the Cougs prevail.
I congratulate all of you on your use of tarot cards and oiji boards in somehow being 100% sure that Borgi doesn't fumble....that aside, part of clock management is being able to ensure the other team uses some clock tackle by not allowing 93 yards in one play or give up punt returns.
WSU gave up 50 points in 18 minutes (Or 21 minutes if going by possession switch after WSU scored and went up 49-17. I've watched a lot of college football in my life and never seen anything like that, and I sure as hell have never heard of a division 1 college qb throwing for 9 TD's and losing. I'm pretty damn sure I'll never see that again in my lifetime. ESPN has a thing that shows what they think the probability is that a team will win as the game goes along, and when WSU went up 49-17 it was at 99.9%. (That being the highest it can go because it only shows one decimal place). That obviously excluding 100% if a game had ended or was physically impossible to win. What a fucking debacle. It happening at home makes it even more funny. Imagine what the ride home was like for all the fans that went to the game...Hahaha.
