For any strictly nfl fans, he is the coach that fully embodies why we love college football
I’m almost exclusively an NFL watcher, but I am a Cougar fan so I experienced Leach in all his greatness 😊
Was a huge fan of him since his Sooner day. Been cheering for him since than till the end.
Perfectly stated.
Mike was the Norm McDonald of college football, the MF DOOM.
He was your favorite coach's favorite coach. RIP
What an accurate comparison.
Dude. 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 class analysis
Y’all should do a football life on him because an 8 minute video isn’t long enough
I 100 percent agree with you

In the past they would have…but I genuinely feel they gave up on that show. You can say that about a lot of the videos they posted this year. Like where’s the A Football Life video on Warrick Dunn? Just sad man
This needs to be done!!!
Texas Tech’s worst decision was firing him. To hell with Craig James and Adam James, the pirate lives on forever 🏴☠️
the James were convenient pawns in a power play in TTU politics... too dumb they were getting played
I grew up watching the pirate and that beautiful Tech team I will always say leach made me fall in love with football. I’m just glad our new coach Joey has that same outlook on football make it fun.
Craig James only person to be involved in destroying TWO college programs.
College football isn’t the same with him gone. RIP “Swing your sword!”
Not just one of the best coaches of all times, but an all time human being as well!
Man, what a legend! Even though I don't watch college football, I can still see Leach's imapct on the game of football as we know it today
Air raid offense baby!
Missing out
College football is superior, you're missing out
He completely hated candy corn! Miss you coach. Hail State.
candy corn is pure sugary grossness 🤮
Miss him immensely
And Tech still owes him money.
A man who is unintentionally funny, witty and capable of thinking outside the box.
He is one of whom America is going to look for. An untimely death for a dying breed.
RIP Coach Leach
Mike Leach was the John Madden of college football
Man all those testimonials from great coaches and then Josh McDaniels. What a legend. He should be in the CFB hall of fame.
I love Mike so much. It’s still hard to believe he is gone. Rest in peace Coach
Coach Leach is the GOAT Wreck Em Tech!
I went to Texas Tech when Leach coached there... Those were the best years of my life, man Lubbock was fun back then. Those football games were awesome to attend.
Dammit...I miss not having this guy around. RIP Mike!
As a 1993 Ŧech grad I understood why the university let him go because of how the Craig James son situation got out of control, but was glad he was able to bring back WSU from the dead since it validated he was a great coach. I was surprised he left WSU for MSU and I was curious 👀 how his system was going to work in SEC. May he Rest in Peace 🙏🏾
Amazing coach and human being
Few people have the level of impact that Hal Mumme and Mike Leach had on the sport with their Air Raid offense
A “heart condition?”! That’s a low jab (pun intended) NFL films. The greatest international crime of all time took one of the greatest football minds. Never Forget
Air Raid for its fast QB development is now getting its love because everyone uses it. Before old school NFL was you had to do it one way. With Leach it was more than one way. Greatest Run was early 2000s when he had all those Seniors come in and pass for 4,000 yards for 4 - 5 straight years. Thank you coach for leaving such a lasting legacy
Legends never die! 🏴☠️
Leach will always remind me of my grandparents who have lived in Pullman since before my dad was born. They were, of course, WSU fans, and would always have hot takes about Leach’s teams
I never was a fan of any of the team's Leach coached but I am a huge fan of him and what he done for college football and used to love watching his press sessions because you never knew what he was going to say lol RIP coach!
One of the best football minds of all time 💯
Hail State! RIP Coach Leach.
As a Texas Tech student during his rise to fame, he is a man I will always remember. What a guy.
From a Texas Tech fan we say thanks
Rest in peace, Mr leach.
LEGEND!
We need a Football Life Mike Leach
RIP The Pirate
Lord Micheal P Leach loved life and did it on his terms. Need more goats like him and less low T sheep
I need 60 minutes of this RIP coach
I always wonder what he could have done with the Buckeyes level of recruiting
Had University of Tennessee fans not revolted in 2017 we would of had that chance.
I have no doubt that if Mike Leach had the talent of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama or any of the big schools, he would have been winning championships. I am a Razorback fan, and it pains me to learn that Mike Leach really wanted the Razorback job. He wanted it going back all the way to when we hired Bielema, but the university passed him up for some stupid reason. I hate to think about the lost opportunity of what he could have done here.
RIP GOAT FOOTBALL WONT EVER BE THE SAME
Legend
Legend.
Mike is a legend and the smartest football coach to ever coach football
5:48 absolute gold! lol
yeah. That was brilliantly funny.
Graham Harrell and Crabtree at Texas tech was so fun to watch
True legend
R.i.p Coach really missed u this season
Cried fr
Rip Mike Leach
Mike didn’t win the National tittles others did but he sure did churn out so many players.
Josh McDaniels being the former Patriots offensive coordinator 😂😂😂
a football life pleeeease
Swing your sword friends. Long live the Pirate
RIP, Coach.
He shouldve been in the league long ago
Lol, Leach would have hated the NFL. He was born to be in CFB.
@@WSUFan2017 yeah, in Swing Your Sword, he mentioned NFL is probably the least creative of the leagues, mostly chimpanzee-see-chimpanzee-do league
Rip.
Gardner minshew 😎
Oh the days when the pirates flag waved over the Caprock. Swing your sword y’all.
2023-24 it's MESH all day everyday
He should coach for the NFL.
unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago suddenly, i imagine he would have been hired by now
Go cougs!
Great piece only marginally tarnished by having Sean Peyton in it.
How so? Sean Payton is a future hall of fame head coach
Their kids and their grandkids won't have hands 😂😂😂😂😂
I, still to this day, can't figure out why Tech fired him... ugh!
Leach airs the dirty laundry in his book Swing Your Sword
Because an ESPN commentators son who played for him told his father an exaggerated punishment Leach made him do and the commentator threatened to publish the story if Tech didn't release him or something like that.
Go Cougs!

He was a legend in college football. His scheme was revolutionary in the air raid. He had some serious scandals in his career but he did a ton of good for the game.
Its a shame that it seems like the jab got him. But fans will never forget The Pirate and the game is better for his involvement.
Just out of curiosity, what caused the millions of deaths from heart attacks before the jab was introduced?
@@trevor8851personally i dont think the jab caused this death at all. but there is evidence of myocarditis in young people who got certain vaccines from what i saw. so i think the rise in young people having heart issues could be connected somewhat
@@trevor8851What's caused the rate to grow out of control since 2021? Its amazing how defensive folks can be with that at the time of someone's passing however I'm sure folks like you were okay with knowing statuses when it came to entry into arenas and such.
We all know if anyone mentioned real stats on it that their comment would be s banned by Google.
He was a legend and did some great things for the sport of football. Its a shame that he's passed on however his legacy will live on forever I do believe.
@@trevor8851You know if I was to even try to answer that, my comment would vanish. Seriously dude lay off the MSM.
first
Josh McDaniels ‘former Patriots offensive coordinator’ 🙄
Damn, that annoying snapping sound effect...
Couldn't watch
But he never won anything
You mean he never resorted to the levels that the elite schools do to win the corrupted college football championship of the day. But he did innovate the game, made a positive impact on lives, did things the right way, and won a few ballgames along the way.
He’s a joke
never liked him; this is the best possible ending.
Im sure it was mutual

Who cares who likes who
@@loganblack4885 wasn't replying to you did I
Yet here you are.
Sorry bud. Wishbone only works in college. Thats why payton only won 1 sb. Its great when half the defensive roster is all pro.
This offense is why we we have so many (bs,) roughness calls.
The West Coast offense is real football. Not this dink dunk, "the running back is a qb but still a passer...or is he"
The NFL should have cared about this when they suspended vick, and still exhonerated those ravens players....... ray rice and the elevator.... lewis actually killing a dude.. ..... pretty sus for an HC family to be pro life....
God damn man, this is just a Down syndrome fueled word vomit😭😭😭
This video was not saying that wishbone works.
It’s saying the air raid spread is working in college and has influenced nfl offenses.
You see it with Andy Reid and Mahomes. You saw it with Tom Brady with the pats.
Also, the west coast has continued to evolve since the Bill Walsh times, that concepts from offenses like air raid and spread has made it better even at this time.
Also, there is not one superior offensive philosophy.
It does not also have to be staying in the pocket all the time, though it is critical.
We see guys like Lamar and the ravens show that using one’s legs and extending plays can make their run and pass game even more lethal.
Who's bud and you dropped your binky
@@vincentbernal635 Lamar is trying to run less... Monken helping him with that...
lol "real football" 🤣 ua-cam.com/video/W8MnWDw5J9Q/v-deo.html
The Patwots ran Mouse Davis’s run and shoot with more intelligent receivers. The air raid was another step of the run and shoot. That being said, this man perfected it and won games with low talent, and sometimes low intelligent players
Texas Tech Board of Regents head didn't want to pay the great Coach Leach what he deserved, finally made to give in, later saw his opportunity to fire this great coach b/c of Craig Janes' weak son! Texas Tech football has NEVER had the same success since, I new it right when it happened. His team beat the whiny Aaron Rodgers who thought his Cal-Berckley team should be playing a better team in a better bowl. Coach Leach beat the crap outta him, 🤣!!!
