Right! Sadly it happens all the time. My daughters dad told her many times from the age of 10 to 14 that if he had to pick between her or his wife that he would always pick his wife. Well that time came when his wife was recently charged with injury to a child, that child being our daughter, and he is sticking by his wife and lost custody of her. He was even given a small amount of supervised visitation over a month ago and he still hasn't done one visit becuase he's mad that his wife can't be around our daughter during his visits. It's unbelievable to me, I don't know how he can do that. Breaks my heart for my daughter.

I don’t really consider children a “gift”. You purposefully have sex with a significant other to make a kid, if that is the decision both choose to do. And when those kids gets older, if the parents still say their child has a “gift”, then it would make them think that they constantly have to do the very best just to impress their parents when that should not be the case.

I'm glad those children have a loving Grancher and aunt who loves them unconditionally and will do whatever it takes to protect them. I myself am unable to have children due to medical issues and let me tell you, words cannot describe how I feel seeing people who shouldn't have children, end up with several. My ex and I split because I stuck up for my son. My ex didn't like that so I packed up and moved 300kms away. Best move I ever made. Showed me his true colours. My kids and I come as a package even though my children are all adults and have families of their own.
