Incorrect. The 3 Moritis Gods did not all die to the dagger. The Son was actually killed by Anakin’s lightsaber… Which may elude to him NOT being fully dead.
Why aren't you writing for this show? Your explanations are far better than the script. You could fix this show in seconds, I will take care of Kathleen, make it look like an accident, an electrical thing.
I think one of the reasons Ahsoka is great is they have brought back Mystery. There are still great unknown things in the vast infinite Universe. The Prequels seemed too much like just another day in the Jedi office... and not enough epic mystery even thought they had conspiracy.
Baylon Skoll is the absolute most interesting character to me in this show. It is heartbreaking that Ray Stevenson passed away, he did such an amazing job. I hope they at least pick up his journey and what he is looking for one way or another. My guess is that they make him disappear to what he is searching for (if that is Abeloth or World Between Worlds) and Shin/Ahsoka are both going to search for him and end up finding it.
Would you object if they were to recast Baylan Skoll? I feel that his story must be seen to be told, putting a mask on a new actor could help keep the Character going IMO.
@@dancingvalkyriea fallen Jedi who hasn't given himself fully to the dark side yet seems to have a hatred for the Jedi order of the clone wars, he sees the events of the star wars galaxy as an endless loop that he wants to escape, or destroy, he's a character who truly believes in the force above all else very similar to qui gon, but only if he fell further
@@BoilerRoom69 You described his jedi history lmao, thats his occupation not his personality. You can't even pinpoint his character traits, how pathetic 😂
My jaw hit the floor when I saw Baylen standing at the statue of the Father, looking straight out of the Night Watch, with the Son and the broken Daughter to his side, pointing at the horizon. Big, horrible things are coming to the known galaxy, thats for sure
I see three possibilities. It's Abeloth, it's The Son, or this whole thing with The Ones/Celestials/Lovecraftian Eldrich Horrors is just misdirection and it's something else entirely. Either way, I really hope there's gonna be a season 2 of this (and that we don't have to wait 2+ years to see it)
What makes these statues even more interesting is that a civilisation made them. A whole civilisation had a connectioj close enough with 3 literal gods that they were able to perfectly replicate them with statues, all while it was implied in that particular Clone Wars episode that Obi Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka seeing them was something special
@@Stegibbon the difference is that a mural can be made by one person. But 3 giant statues carved within a mountain.... yeah that will take way too much time and be way too difficult
@@thimovijfschaft3271i could he misinterpereting legends but didnt abeloth leave these massive structures in the wake of the worlds that she destroyed?
If it is Abeloth than things will be hit the fan soon. I do hope its her cause it be awesome to see something from legends become cannon and I hope they do her justice and make her as powerful as she is in legends.
Ahsoka having daughter essence can be only reason why they could potentially survive encounter, after all, Abeloth was a match for entire EU new jedi order and grand master Luck, wich is immense feat.
In the Mortis episodes of Clone Wars, Anakin sees a bright beacon flashing at the top of the mountain where The Father is located. It’s almost identical to the flashing beacon Baylan is looking at.
Totally shipping Shin and Sabine. Also, check out and share the fan edit of Shin turning into Abeloth, as well as the fanfiction Sabine x Shin story “storms of the eye”, which is way better than the show, but also connects perfectly with the show, and just makes it 100 times better.
Anakin goes from being in Ahsoka's dreams, to being historically present as an archived hologram in front of her, to being present in that very moment with her. He becomes more tangible and real as Ahsoka grows closer to him once more, becoming her true self and training her own Padawan to do the same. As Ahsoka grows into herself at her best, at her core, as does the presence of her Master, because he lives through her. By the end of the season, where we see him as a Ghost, he, present in the moment with his Padawan, no longer has any words to say - the training has been completed, all he does is smile with contentment, as she turns away and returns to her new life.
@@Thiago_Alves_Souza Yes, of course my friend, but the force ghost was in a realm rather than being in the real world. Symbolically, I mean it was some sort of dreamscape.
Also, I noticed Ahsoka seemed more relaxed, smiley, and sarcastic after her interaction with Anakin. It's as if she started to heal something in herself. I feel like she is returning to the path of the Jedi AS a Jedi again.
Ahsoka has been fighting for so long, I hope that by the end of this tale after she has achieved whatever it is the Celestials are hoping from her, she's able to finally lay down her blade and find peace. I suspect her message to Sabine about a being Jedi meaning more than saber skills is foreshadowing this.
Oh, Shin is gonna be just fine. She's gone from playing second fiddle to a more powerful Jedi, to potentially being the Chief of her own little tribe. That's an upgrade in my book. Many a mighty hero, and more than a few legendary villains, come from such beginnings.
Anakin is the Father, Ahsoka is the Daughter. The Son calls for Baylan to help him free Abeloth. Abeloth uses Shin as an avatar and they all come back. Remember this comment in 3 years
I initially thought the direction they were going in was that Piridia was once Mortis (damn that would be an insane revelation), left dilapidated after the death of the Son, Daughter and Father as there was nobody left to care for the planet. The glint on the mountain in the distance looks exactly like the Monastery where Anakin met the Father
I think Sabine is the dictionary definition of “do or do not, there is no try” and that is the problem inherit in all Mandalorians. It’s arguable that she has shown “passive” force talent with her genius level IQ and effective use of the Dark Saber. It could be that it wasn’t until she was at the brink of death (in addition to years of previous training with Ahsoka) that she was finally able to “break through” to using the “physical” force (telekinesis/object manipulation) and once that happened, she was able to reach possibly her max “physical” force strength almost immediately from that point on. Also, force push/pull is as basic as force usage gets so it’s not like she did something groundbreaking by pushing Ezra. Maybe the reason there’s been only 1 mando Jedi is because of how long the training/apprenticeship period takes before a Mandalorian can actually “break through” and maybe this just isn’t known and therefore Mandalorians are just never considered for training.
Something interesting I noticed: the higher ranking bandits have helmets that faintly resemble the Rakattan; with the 'eyestalks' sticking off the sides of the head. Probably nothing, but thought I'd share for all the good theories that can be made of it.
I thought that Sabine's force push was kinda out of nowhere, but I thought about it and remembered that the core of Force manipulation is all about belief. Of course, someone as brazen and bull-headed as Sabine would wholeheartedly believe that they can do something right out of the gate once they overcame the initial self-doubt. Pulling her lightsaber across the room in a moment of crisis was exactly what she needed to gain the confidence that she sorely lacked. She saw that she could use the force, and immediately believed she could throw her friend across Springfield Gorge.
I agree. I think Sabine is the dictionary definition of “do or do not, there is no try” and that is the problem inherit in all Mandalorians. It wasn’t until she was at the brink of death (in addition to years of training) that she was finally able to “break through” and once that happened, she was able to reach possibly her max force strength almost immediately from that point on. Maybe the reason there’s been only 1 mando Jedi is because of how long the training/apprenticeship period takes before a Mando can actually “break through”.
Problem is George Lucas cannon was that you HAD to BE Force Sensitive to wield the Force and most people weren’t. Sabine herself was repeatedly shown to have no such Force Sensitivity or connection to the Force and then she has a relatively minor brush with death compared to previous events but suddenly she can cheese it like a bank robber and pull off full Jedi moves? Nah~ Its that lazy Disney princess thing of “wishes coming true” as if just willing it will somehow give access to raw talent and power? That is the modern era narcissistic mentality of thinking everything can be yours if you want it or will it enough and frankly speaking it’s delusional and entitled nonsense. Sabine cannot will to power the Force Sensitivity that was lacking in her in the same way that Anakin and Luke couldn’t will their lost limbs back? The Force doesn’t work like that and neither does our real world. It’s the old problem of Disney Star Wars trying to bypass Force talent and Jedi training and jump straight to flashy OP mode like some hacker in a video game? The irony is that Filoni should just have written in a slow Force awakening over the episodes for Sabine or created a plot device or McGuffin like exposure to the World between worlds or something to explain how she can suddenly access the Force at such a ridiculously high level rather than this scene where she just pulls it out of her ass. This is actually cheapening the Force into a gimmick in the same way that the lethality and consequences of the lightsaber itself is been turned into a jokey rubber truncheon. For example we all know that unlike Anakin or Luke, Sabine is not going to lose a limb or suffer consequences from losing a lightsaber battle because Disney. Thus she gets ran through the guts and back by Shin in earlier episodes and is back on her feet in no time. Meh~ It’s Disney Lucasfilm trying to turn a harvest without putting in the work.;3
@@PaulusAlone George has said that “everybody can do it” not just the Jedi and “it’s just the Jedi [and sith] that take the time to do it.” Those are quotes from him. Hell, the biggest problem the fanboys had with the prequels was they thought the miticlorians ruined the canon of everyone being able to use the force. (Although that’s not what miticlorians indicate). There’s also Luke who showed no natural force talent until he met Kenobi when he was like 20, other than being a good pilot/womp rat shooter. Much the same, Sabine showed some aptitude being able to wield the dark saber with some ease compared to Mando who always struggled with it. Sabine also spent years witnessing Kanan and Ezra using the force and then training with Ahsoka (between Rebel and Ahsoka series). Between her genius level IQ and natural dark saber skills, I feel like she has shown that the “passive” force is strong with her but the Mandalorian psyche makes it nearly impossible to break through the “wall” that prevents her from accessing “active” force abilities like manipulating objects. Once she’s was at the brink of death with no other way out, in ADDITION to years of training and natural passive force talent, she was able to finally break through to the active force. This is much different and way more developed than the Rey/Mary Sue argument in which I would agree with you.
This was hands down the best video i have seen regarding this finale. As a Rebels fan a lot of aspects discussed I expected but the mention of Legends content DF hasn't used is making me rethink my own theories and guess for next season. Thanks for such a well put together video. I look forward to more of you content.
The loss of Ray Stevenson is hard enough to take and only that much harder when he just made it in the Starwars universe as such an awesome character that people want to see more of I watched them over the years and many really cool films and he will be greatly missed
Ahsoka have daughter essence, althought it not seem like she can use it right now, it is possible that she will unlock it, and then they will essentially have a celestial in team, it may not be enough still for Abeloth, but it give them chance to survive first encounter and flee on they shuttle.
@@bigz4339He is, but his return could always be handled differently, like in legends, were it was actually very interesting, check out Dark Empire (he basically incorporated dark side into everything and was insanely OP, like, beating entire fleets with the force)
@marcelgrabowski5939 oh I know all about Legends Palpatine. I've been a Legends fan since Heir to the Empire. I was just saying you can't out-evil Palpy in D-Canon, which means Abeloth probably won't really be Abeloth anymore because of the nerfing.
@@bigz4339 I doubt they would nerf her only to make Palpy look better, if they will nerf her, it is because corps will be soooo scared that lovecraftian horror will drive away audience and increase age rating, meanwhile in reality it would just make it more popular. But they doesn't need to nerf her, indeed, Ahsoka have Daughter essence, if she somehow use it, well, they could at least run away, after all, they have hyperdrive-capable vessel and several force-sensitives to navigate even through the worse places, then they can certainly reach other civilisation, or something, after all, this new galaxy is not entirely empty, right? ...Unless this is Yuuzhan Vong galaxy.
Baylen Skoll had the opportunity to melt into the very fabric of the legends he grew up with as a padawan. Although we have seen the last of him, it’s nice to know that Ray Stevenson also got to become part of the legends he grew up with.
Idk if we have. Has it been confirmed they won't recast or CGI him? I'm not saying I'm for these options, but we could even get him animated with a different voice actor.
@@robertbarnes1828 I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to recreate his voice but I doubt they would try and recreate his image, I’d say if they want to use his image and legacy postmortem than they could make him possessed by some force entity so they could add all kinds of cgi over his features, either way his Star Wars canon death can’t be too far off, the actor is dead I’m sure they’d prefer to wrap up his story out of respect, but who knows?!
Not necessarily. You have a Light Side, and a Dark Side force user, as well as an older one who is kind of in between. Maybe it's time for the celestials to continue whatever purpose was driving them before their downfall?
My theories: A: He's trying to find a way into the World Between Worlds to become all powerful the same way Palpatine was. B: He wants to become either a Bendu OR a new incarnation of the Father. C: (Worst of all): It's Abeloth that's drawing Baylan to her in order to free herself. NOT a good outcome.
It was a great struggle for the Imperial Remnants to maintain ISD's, they required immense support networks that just aren't available on that planet. But this new galaxy, Firefist or whatever you want to call it, might have civilisations elsewhere that Ahsoka and the others could reach. Perhaps the strange markings on the Chimera are a hint to Thrawn having worked with another faction that provided aid in repairing and maintaining his ship in return for its immense power being deployed in return.
The statue of the father and the son makes me think baylan is headed for the son. Especially with morai showing up and Ashoka saying it’s where they need to be
@@canadianfury3027unless they mean "headed to become the son", what they said is pretty silly haha, I've seen a few people share the same thought and I'm like, uhhhh were you paying attention or nah? 😂
They’re basically force gods. They were all technically killed, but Morai has stuck with Ashoka. We know life goes on after death if you get the right training… and we have no idea what these gods are truly capable of. The way ahsoka looked at morai at the end of the episode combined with her saying they are where they need to be, given her past on mortis… While it could be the mother, I’m not sure why she’d take out the statue of her daughter where as the son wouldn’t want the reminder of him killing her
He just steel the Baylan shuttle, but why they do not find him through entire journey is kinda strange, perhaps it is another thing confirming my theory that Thrawn becomed supper-paranoid of force do to random stuff like Pergils snatching his fleet out of nowhere, and he decided to not confront Ezra, because he knows that he will try to reunite primarly with Ghost crue.
THEORY: Nightwitches claim to have existed before time was counted in their power. Night MOTHERS are multiple here, whereas there was only one such rank in the main galaxy; Mother Talzin. Their Magick is based in Dark Side control using alchemy and manifestation of words to conjure and control Ikor (the green energy substance). Abeloth was known as the Mother, and is a Dark Side entity that uses words to corrupt and ensnare the minds of those she wishes to corrupt. I submit that the Dathomiri are cultists of the most ancient kind that worship the mother and traveled to the known galaxy as Abeloth's corruption led to the destruction of all that was here, settling on Dathomir. By this time, the Celestials had already abandoned the Mother by millennia and came to the main galaxy, kickstarting what would eventually lead to the influencing of the Jedi, then later the Dark Jedi, and later still the Sith and other cults of force users. Abeloth is now alone, calling to Skoll to be released so that she might follow her "Family" and lay waste to what exists in our own galaxy in her corruption as revenge for her abandonment. The Witches have gone to hibernation to evade Abeloth's control and are likely few in number after having so many of them turning and needing killing, leaving only what was necessary to be found and escape in some foreseen salvation...Thrawn. Now they are paying for passage with their fellow Dathomiri to seek asylum and restart their once great empire, not in subjugation of the Mother, but by subjugating a thrall of their own. Thrawn is simply using their desperation to meet his own ends, likely already planning ways to contain and control the Dathomiri, or possibly even betray them outright, for the sake of the Empire.
It is not entirely out of question to just let them be, Dathomiri were overall highly isolationists, and even if great mothers plan to carve empire of they own, they are not sith, they could coexist with Thrawns own empire, or even ally with it, considering that Thrawn was all the time very fond of having allies.
Maybe Ezra knows the coordinates to send a fleet to rescue or something. Would be a sweet way to see the Millennium Falcon one last time. Who knows Solo may just randomly be around lol
If they decide to bring Abeloth back, then Ahsoka will be the key of defeating or containing her with the help of Anakin, but Ahsoka will likely die in the process, but will ascend to fill the roll of the Sister, as for the brother? Who knows, Palpatine is the only Force user that holds so much of the Darkside to be considered a candidate, not that there needs to be one in the first place, just food for thought till the next piece of plot.
@@MJJFilms I want Luke back, but then they'd have to rework the plot of the sequels, since Abeloth appearing would be a huge deal someone had to mention there, or just nerf her to hell and make her coming a very small annoyance compared to Palps return
@@xxvaltielxx1789 The sequels don’t have to mention anything. Anakin literally had an Padawan, and she’s never mentioned once in the prequels. Abeloth could give Luke an opportunity to actually do something meaningful before the sequels ruin his character and kill him.
Watching the end of Ahsoka made me wish they didn’t kill off Grand Moff Gideon in Mando S3. The look on his face when he sees Thrawn has returned would’ve been priceless.
That Thawn Speech was just epic just a Total stab at Ahsoka and the Long live the Empire was Thawn to a T he doesnt do things for himself he does it for the Empire honestly was expecting the average Jedi get beaten down but always win because the apparent good guys need to win but this is the best outcome. And that Statue scene with Balan is epic on how it shows the Darkside has the planet with the Daughter statue destoyed. Only one can hope in S2 we get a glimpse at the Mother herself.
His speech shows to me, who hasn't seen anything of Thrawn beyond Rebels, that he cares about the stability of the Galaxy. He deems Ahsoka as extremely dangerous to that stability, as dangerous as Anakin; you could see how shook he was seeing her get closer and closer to stopping him from leaving. In his mind, he's stopping another Vader from returning to the Empire, and I love that.
@@lukeari9890 He doesn't just see Ahsoka as dangerous he views the entire concept of Jedi as Dangerous to the balance of the Galaxy. And he is right at the end all the jedi have done is bring War and destruction.
This is very correct actually, you got the correct message; in the books basically; Thrawn needs the empire (previously the emperor) strong and on good terms--able to help Thrawn defeat an impossibly powerful alien race capable of destroying the galaxy and his home nation, the Chiss Ascendancy@@lukeari9890
Another great video. Thank you. Not having read any Star Wars books or seen the video games, videos like this help me fill in the gaps. Ahsoka seems to be doing the role of the daughter. In every way? No. But briefly seeing Anakin smiling in episode 8, the same confident and relaxed way Ahsoka keeps smiling, assures all of us that she's on the right track. This tells me that Anakin's destiny to bring balance is a continuing role, including letting the audience know how important that role has been throughout the franchise, tying and balancing everything about Star Wars together neatly for everyone, even us viewers. Baylan craves a non-cyclical nature to everything at some undefined "beginning." Killing Ahsoka would be the only way I can see. I doubt that will happen unless they kill each other. Why? Anakin fully supports Ahsoka just as she is with Sabine, always master and apprentice. Baylan never got the memo for his diad with Shin, it seems. He can't even support her from another realm until he dies. They are both teetering on the edge of possibilities, so to speak, leaving the well-interested audience to speculate if or when they fall. Still, everyone has a role to play in a balancing act a long time ago in a galaxy, or galaxies, far, far away.
Sabine is an unpredictable and unstable liability as an ally. None of them or the galaxy wouldn't be in the predicament if not for her emotionally unstable lack of foresight.
That scene of shinbaddie holding her saber up like that on the wolf gave me huge anakin, tuskin raider vibes. I thought she was going to kill them all initially 😂
Okay I'm not the only one who felt sorry for Shinn, the sadness in her eyes when she came over that hill was painful. Can we get 3 cheers for the Professor saving the girls at the last second that we gold
Perhaps the Nightsisters are followers of Abeloth and they, along with Abeloth, were put into suspended animation long ago by the Celestials. Instead of fleeing from Abeloth, maybe they went to Dathomir to prepare for her return to the SW galaxy. Nightsister leaders are known as 'Great Mothers' and Abeloth took the title 'The Mother'. Just a thought.
just a thought on how the almost certain ritual will play out: Baylen = the father as he uses both sides of the force and stays in the middle Shati = the son as she is chaotic and lives for violence aka gives into the dark side and Ahsoka is the daughter by literally having the daughter inside of her its a given that Baylen wants to take the power of the celestials for himself but im guessing as a twist Sabine is going to at least temporarily play host to Abeloth as she best represents the whole "part in the world but not of the world" as while she has some force ability she is neither greatly talented nor leaning one way or the other, instead she has mostly served the force.
Theory: Ahsoka causes the sequel trilogy. Anakin the father, baylan joins as the son representing dark side. Ahsoka is asked by anakin to join as the sister naturally but war against thrawn is going on and she chooses to stay just as anakin her master did during clone wars. Her refusal leads to the dark side gaining weightage and that’s how somehow palpatine returns.
It seemed to me that Shin Hati had some serious heebie jeebies about the witches. Something about their magic really unsettled her, so it makes sense she didn’t want to return to Thrawn, especially after Baylon left her on her own.
Its good we got a explanation to the maning to the ribbon on the stormtroopers and the show nightsister zombie power is awsome to see in live Action. Kinda shows that they were human and just had the ribbon. Never would of expected Zombies in star wars cannon but glad they did it this way.
@@iprofox3758 Sez you! Frankly I would've been disappointed if we DIDN'T get Death Troopers in an episode involving Storm Troopers "blessed" by Dathomiri necromancers
The show was pretty good, it started a little slow but got better with ep. 3. Now that we have Hayden back as Anakin, I'd love to see a mini-series on the Clone Wars with Anakin and Snips. The little taste they gave us just made me want more. The Clone Wars were expansive enough that I'm sure Dave could make something that doesn't break the storyline from the Clone Wars show.
Seeing Sabine finally use the force after all the fake-outs was kinda cool, but I knew that the fandom would be divided as soon as it happened. And for those who can buy the lightsaber summoning, but are struggling with her yeeting Ezra 2 minutes after first using the force, remember one of the franchise's first force teachings; Size Matters Not. Provided she could aim him right (which she barely managed to) it wouldn't be much, if any more difficult than force-pushing her lightsaber across the gap. (Though don't quote me on that, it's been a few years since I properly watched the OT) As for Ezra being crazy enough to trust her on that... IDK, a decade in exile with some well-dressed turtles would probably do a slight number on your sanity.
I saw an interview with Filoni, who said that when he comes up with a story idea/character instead of creating a brand new one, he sources legends to see if there's one there instead. That's how he came up with Thrawn, he needed a gunning and strategic imperial officer, so instead of creating a new one, he just said, "Hey, let's use Thrawn." He doesn't steal from legends he just comes up with an idea, researches to see if any exist already in legends, if there isn't any in legends then he'll create his own from scratch.
Shin was not abandoned by her master, he gave her the ok to walk her own path for power and she took it. She could have stayed with her master if she wished.
Sauron turns out to just be one of the many forms of abeloth, manipulating time, space, and universes so _someone_ will let her out of that _damn_ celestial closet
Oh wow. I had forgot about the scene where Anakin transfers power(?) from the Daughter to Ahsoka. What did you think it meant then and has that changed with the recent series?
Is it just me, or did Shin’s one scene in the finale feel like the writers went, “Oh crap, we forgot to include Shin in the episode. Ummmm … have her claim leadership of the bandits by igniting her saber on top a hill I guess??”
I kinda like the theory I’ve heard someone say that Dave is giving the Mara Jade storyline from the thrawn books over to Shin!! And I can see that. Maybe seeing her former masters nasty turn more evil can be the same as when Mara truly saw Sidious as evil!!
We've already seen what the galaxy looks like in twenty years and it's fine. Its hard to take this threat seriously when you know everything is going to be fine
Disney wants to make another trilogy so Peridea itself might be a setup for the main antagonist there while Filoni's movie wraps up Thrawn's story and gives the First Order a proper set up
My favorite part was sabine finally making a connection to the force and retrieving her saber with it and also her using the blaster saber combo that i loved in jedi survivor
Peridea is Middle Earth, 300 years after the events of LOTR. We even see Baylon standing atop the argonath, watching hand mirror signals from Mt. Doom. All that’s left of the population are the hobbits, wearing shells on their backs, the orcs, preying upon them, and the last of the Nazgul as the Great Mothers.
This just kind of occured to me, but rewatch season 6 ep 9 of clone wars Mother Talzin is sacrificing people to "The Great Mother" (singular) this could be in referrencd to the great mothers of Perridia or the Great Mother of Mortis. Just an idea I had.
The fact the “power” scares zombie raising dark witches makes me think it’ll be Abaloth. Plus the timing around Halloween now seems extra intentional, ending the season with a literal soul consuming monster feels right.
@@MM_LegacyMaybe, we will never know. She certainly didn't know what was going to happen. She chose to abandon Thrawn and go play Queen of the bandit people.
@ukmediawarrior queen of a small tribe is still a queen. Mother Talzin could have been ruler of a rather large area of space. She chose to stay on Dathomir and be absolute ruler versus the bullshit Palpatine had to deal with because his reach exceed his grasp... Galactic Empire only endured for 20 years, nothing compared to the Galactic Republic.
I still ship Sabezra though, I still need to see the episode but idc. Those 2 are a powerhouse though they see a objective they’ll be that way. You know sabine will reunite with Ezra eventually those two are creative too and they’ve already shown they will find their challenges, mandalore and lothal & atollon.
11:33 And Captain Pike knows he can't die until he's put in "the chair". SNW basically is spoiled by Star Trek Discovery. As well as any future Star Trek show. Threat to the Federation... They'll be fine. 😅
Anakin is one of the few force ghosts willing to interfere with events in the physical. Most jedi would probably just observe and talk at most and even then they rarly even talk as a force ghost. I think part of the reason he is the chosen one has to do with him mastering all aspects of the force, and because of his personality, and attachment he is more willing to interfere in the death of ahsoka or maybe have more other similar meaningful impacts on future events. as obi-one said "You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." If obi-one views "More powerful then you can imagine" as talking to the living and giving them advice and wisdom, and anakin views it as using the world between worlds to save someone he cares about and then teach them and even spare with them. Its almost like anakin has become a vessel for the will of the force. Idk im bad at constructing theroys but i hope someone sees this and steals my idea.
I was hoping Sabine would be a Jedi without being force sensitive. Jedi learning to build an order that doesn't solely rely on Lightsabers and magic powers feels like a cool new direction for them. If Sabine learned the ways of the jedi and practiced Jedi discipline she wouldn't necessarily need the magic.
Baylan is by far my favorite character introduced in Disney Star Wars. If they recast a new actor, hopefully they choose their replacement well since those are some large shoes to fill.
I was initially very skeptical about Abeloth potentially appearing, but have wanted someone to use her in live-action for years. With the episode being named Dreams and Nightmares, the celestial statues, the fact that Baylan's wording when he talks about the power strongly indicates something long-living and intelligent, the overall creepy feel of Peridea, and a few characters being uneasy, she fits really well with the current hints available.
I feel like ahsoka very quietly revealed a lot of stuff from legends and I really hope that Baylon is searching for abeloth because that would be a massive issue for the whole universe
The episode we got to Peridia there was a bat like creature, having now seen live action Morai I suspect that bat creature was the son or his spirit guide sorta thing.
After every episode of this show I've been like "damn, no Shin & Baylan content but I'm sure next episode will be better" all the way up until the end. It's pretty disappointing to have learned essentially nothing about the master & apprentice's relationship with each other, their motivations, their history, values, etc even by the last episode. Yeah, I'm sure we'll see more of Shin and of course RIP to Ray Stevenson; but especially since I'm sure this was pitched as a "1 season show that can span further if needed" (hence no official S2 announcement yet), I'm disappointed that Dave didn't think to make this a more self-contained story for the new characters it introduced.
In her desperation, she turned to and trusted in The Force..and she finally felt it flowing through her. She probably drew on fear - The Dark Side is a quick path to power.
I think they will continue Thrawn's story as an independent series as he try to bring the many factions of the Imperial remnant into his command while Ashoka and Sabine remains at the other galaxy. This does raise the question of who will take over the role of Baylan Skoll now that Ray Stevenson is gone.
They'll probably use Celestial Magic - or whatever Skoll is after - as an excuse/chance to have him regenerate/transform himself into a younger and more powerful body.
Lol My only question; Why would the family build statues pointing towards their psycho mother for any lost soul to come across and set her free? Maybe it’s just me. Also I’m not sure what to think of Sabines, her force powers seem beyond what she’s learned from Ahsoka, it didn’t feel earned. Other than that, I bow to Filoni!
All she did was pull a lightsaber and give Ezra's force-jump a boost, the same thing Ezra did with Kanan pretty early in his training on Geonosis. Incorrect. The 3 Moritis Gods did not all die to the dagger. The Son was actually killed by Anakin’s lightsaber… Which may elude to him NOT being fully dead.

No, I was too busy laughing.
Describe his character without talking about the mysteries around him. I dare you.

Allen? The Alien?
I feel it's kinda poetic that Ray Stevenson's final scene in cinematography is him beginning a journey into unknown lands.

I theorize that Abeloth shapeshifts into Shin Hati…
He wasn't in a dream my guy. That was his force ghost training her to let go.

Or their canon version "the Zeffo"

I was SO CERTAIN that when she meet the first hermit crab she would paint something …. Perhaps a picture of Ezra
She grew up
@jonathancharron7360 that isn't a valid reason to abandon a large portion of your character. Not in this case
Exactly and not to mention she also had to do it immediately after feeling using the force so that she could do it again.
"i don't believe it!"
"that is why you fail."
Meh~ It’s Disney Lucasfilm trying to turn a harvest without putting in the work.;3
@@PaulusAlone George has said that “everybody can do it” not just the Jedi and “it’s just the Jedi [and sith] that take the time to do it.”
Those are quotes from him.

That's a story for the comics
The scene with Baylon Skol at the statue reminds me of the LotR FotR Argonath scene.
Big ancient statue arm held out.

THEORY:
Nightwitches claim to have existed before time was counted in their power.
I beg for this theory to be true, and i beg that if it is, Disney doesn't spoil it, tease it, reveal it in any form whatsoever

Ahsoka is not dying and is probably immortal at this point considering that she died three times. Abeloth’s story also requires Luke.

I'm thinking that they just have to wait half a season for the purrgil to go back... assuming they are migratory.
The last scene, Baylan Skoll looking into Mordor was very good!

Same. Sort of got teary eyed when I saw Shin. She looked shattered
I think peridia is this canons version of the Valley of the Jedi, it unlocked sabines latent force powers, that all living being have.
Great that they didn't rush to finish everything in the finale, but left the story to continue
just a thought on how the almost certain ritual will play out:
Baylen = the father as he uses both sides of the force and stays in the middle
Shati = the son as she is chaotic and lives for violence aka gives into the dark side
and Ahsoka is the daughter by literally having the daughter inside of her
its a given that Baylen wants to take the power of the celestials for himself but im guessing as a twist Sabine is going to at least temporarily play host to Abeloth as she best represents the whole "part in the world but not of the world" as while she has some force ability she is neither greatly talented nor leaning one way or the other, instead she has mostly served the force.

Provided she could aim him right (which she barely managed to) it wouldn't be much, if any more difficult than force-pushing her lightsaber across the gap. (Though don't quote me on that, it's been a few years since I properly watched the OT)
As for Ezra being crazy enough to trust her on that...
Baylon is now in Lord of the Rings, and it seems it was Sauron reaching out to him all this time! 😂
Sauron turns out to just be one of the many forms of abeloth, manipulating time, space, and universes so _someone_ will let her out of that _damn_ celestial closet
Exactly, whole Ahsoka show is just reskinned LOTR. 😀
The Beacons of Amon-Din have been lit. Gondor seeks our help!
The Jedi Order: *fails*
Baylon: Well now I am *going to summon the elder gods*
Oh wow. I had forgot about the scene where Anakin transfers power(?) from the Daughter to Ahsoka. What did you think it meant then and has that changed with the recent series?
This is my first time watching this Channel for star wars it was wonderfully broken down without any judgement ! Very cool
I can't be the only one who noticed the Daughter was the only statue not intact in that final scene with Baylan, right?
Thank you for a knowledgable and civil background. I think Asohka and the Mandalorian are 2 of the best things to come out of Star Wars in years
The "roaring" in the background at 8:58 when Baylan is talking about the power he seeks, is chilling 😳 Mother is calling... lol
Thats what I thought right it has to be her
Is it just me, or did Shin’s one scene in the finale feel like the writers went, “Oh crap, we forgot to include Shin in the episode.
Doom. All that’s left of the population are the hobbits, wearing shells on their backs, the orcs, preying upon them, and the last of the Nazgul as the Great Mothers.
what
This just kind of occured to me, but rewatch season 6 ep 9 of clone wars Mother Talzin is sacrificing people to "The Great Mother" (singular) this could be in referrencd to the great mothers of Perridia or the Great Mother of Mortis. Just an idea I had.
I'd noticed that too but can't recall anyone ever having talked about it
The Great Mother is Talzin. The people refers to her as that and she never uses that phrase as it is about herself.
The fact the “power” scares zombie raising dark witches makes me think it’ll be Abaloth. Plus the timing around Halloween now seems extra intentional, ending the season with a literal soul consuming monster feels right.
Um, Shinn wasn't abandoned by Thrawn, she had time to make it back to the Chimera but she wandered off to the bandit camp instead.
She would be used to slow down Ashoka, just like Morgan Elsbeth, so good for her.
@@MM_LegacyMaybe, we will never know. She certainly didn't know what was going to happen. She chose to abandon Thrawn and go play Queen of the bandit people.
@@ukmediawarriorIn my eyes she is a Queen
@ukmediawarrior queen of a small tribe is still a queen. Mother Talzin could have been ruler of a rather large area of space. She chose to stay on Dathomir and be absolute ruler versus the bullshit Palpatine had to deal with because his reach exceed his grasp... Galactic Empire only endured for 20 years, nothing compared to the Galactic Republic.
I thought those bandits were some form of Tusken Raider. The sounds they made sounded similar
Baylon saw the beacon of Gondor and went to their aid
Absolutely agree
The power that Skoll is searching for is that of one legendary warrior on his name of Rick, the Door Technician.
I really hope it is Abeloth. I really appreciate them integrating more of the original EU into the new EU. Especially in this series. (E-Wings!!)
I think it is cool that Filoni seems to be treating some of the Legends material as in-universe legends/stories.
❤ Thank you, for having a positive attitude and not trashing this show like some of this angry basement dwellers that do nothing, but complain.
That scene where BAYLON is standing on that statue wearing that cape that's draped at his side... I want that poster
Making Sabine use the Force, and use it all of a sudden like a pro, was wack.
It's not like a pro, it's the most basic tbing you can do with it
and she’s done training with ashoka and kanan, so it makes a little bit of sense
What she did was pretty basic, and Ahsoka did command her to use her blasters instead at one point.
In her desperation, she turned to and trusted in The Force..and she finally felt it flowing through her.
She probably drew on fear - The Dark Side is a quick path to power.
Thank you someone finally addressed it!!
What is with you and dolphins
The scene where she pulls her lightsaber to jerself was also pretty clearly a callback to Luke, whose first use of the Force was almkst exactly the same.
So Baylan is the father, ahsoka the daughter, and shin the son. That's kind of the impression I got with the last few scenes
