Last week I travelled to the Lake District to help out a friend doing a - quite frankly crazy - challenge: to run the ten highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in less than 72 hours.
I was helping out with the middle section, which was 7 peaks and 25km. It was epic!

I’ve blitzed my way through about 20 of your videos since UA-cam recommended your channel on my homepage a few weeks ago. I find your enthusiasm for life is very addictive and has helped me get back into running after a long break. I’ve only been out for a couple of runs this week but I feel great after I get back home. I wonder why I ever stopped running!

Please be super proud of yourself. And this is your personal best! As someone who is on a similar path as you (recovering from ebv) I know how challenging this can be. Remember when after all this ordeal you managed your first veeery shooort walk? Remember when you ran your first mile... All of them are your personal best! Every step never mind how small it looks, is really big. Be proud of yourself. And never let anyone deem your light. Achiving such things after such an illness makes you even more of an ultrarunner than ever before. It's not always all about running and achiving impossible, it's about being healthy, achiving basics after great difficulties, getting back up and be honest that the path is not always shiny and beautiful - that's what should count the most. That's a real human an athlete. That's an ultrarunner ❤

Super interesting to watch this after doing leg 3 of BGR on Sunday morning! You basically did the reverse of the end part of the leg, we got to ski down the scree into Wasdale 😁

What an incredible day in an absolutely gorgeous part of the world! Go James! What an endeavor. I hope he nailed the FKT- a huge accomplishment on its own, never mind while filming/ uploading! You did great, too! Have you thought of picking up more hiking on the side of running? It'll get you back in the mountains with slightly less of the bad sort of exhaustion. The pup can go too!
@@Kelly_Ben it was amazing! Yes, I’ve been doing bits, but to be honest this kind of running is so much hiking anyway, and I genuinely find running downhill easier than walking, so it ends up about the same energetically ☺️

@@Paheena1 haha I was sore but actually fine! I think I find this kind of stuff less tiring than a day of socialising or road running 😅
