This lesson was quite helpful for me✅💯 We want more video lessons like how we can understand native English speakers and speak English smoothly & fluently. Best regards from Bangladesh🇧🇩🥀🖤
Thank you, Brittany. This video is truly helpful for me as a beginner who often gets confused when starting to practice English by watching the Friends series, where the characters often speak very quickly, leaving me behind and continuously replaying the dialogue to make sure. I have also downloaded the material for this, and I will devour all your videos. Hopefully, you can continue to provide this knowledge for us who want to delve into English. Success always for you. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, the characters in Friends talk very quickly (what a great resource for learning natural speaking patterns!). Good luck on your journey!
Honestly I don't think speed is the problem for me personally. I understand every word you say and i watch your videos at 2x speed. But i still dont understand movies without subtitles sometimes, and i obviously dont watch them sped up.
I understand. It could be the speed. It could be a combination of things (unknown and uncommon vocabulary/expressions, uncommon accents, misunderstanding because of weak forms or contractions). I personally also prefer to watch series/movies (in English) with subtitles because I have a low tolerance for missing anything that's said too quietly or too quickly -- and it's helpful for remembering characters' names. I think many of us just have a preference for subtitles these days.
Hello! I'm so glad that you are enjoying my videos. Unfortunately, my UA-cam channel is very new and so far I only have the videos that you see here: www.youtube.com/@EnglishwithBrittany/videos (They do not need to be watched in any particular order). To be honest, all of my videos are meant for intermediate to advanced learners. However, I will try to keep beginners in mind as I create new material, and these other videos will be here for you when you are ready! 🥰
Honestly, I don't think that native speakers could hear the difference (most of the time) either, if these words were said in isolation. We need to hear them in context to truly understand which one is being said. Don't worry too much! Just having the awareness is a big step.
Hello! Did you hear this somewhere and you’re not sure which one you heard? The best way to distinguish what you heard is probably by looking at the context and determining which makes more sense. However, there are also (slight!) differences in their pronunciation.
I'm not asking the question: "Why can't you understand fast English?" I am making a statement: (Here is) why you can't understand fast English. Because it's a title, it's a bit stylized/shortened. I understand it's a bit confusing. Thank for for pointing this out.

老师好!我想跟着您的视频学习英语。我一点基础都没有,而且年龄也比较大了,我最开始跟哪个视频学习比较合适呢?您有没有针对初学者,有一整套的教学视频呢?就像在学校里从一年级开始一点一点地学习。谢谢您!

To hear the difference between the unstressed *them* & *him* it's really difficult 😢

She lived in my country south korea teaching english~ when did she leave
@@백인줄어든다 Hi! I lived in South Korea a LONG time ago - I was last there in 2009! 😄💕 (I miss it!)
How could I difference between "together" and "to get there"?

Why can't you understand fast English is grammatically correct 💯

@@EnglishwithBrittany ok thanks for clarifying this 👍
@@EnglishwithBrittany ...we studied that we can use your sentence when we ask indirect questions like could you please tell me where the school is ?
