What's even worse is when you do know shit and you are angry about shit, and then people who don't know shit, come and argue that your wrong with little to no knowledge of what you are mad about. Skarner got nerfed, 4.10. No reason, fuck you Riot. STFU people who keep defending him.
When he said scat porn I instantly thought of the sub genre of Jazz and looked it up out of curiosity. You can't believe my dismay when I relieved it was scat as in shit
I've watched every Jake and Amir episode multiple times over but just noticed how Amir began typing up his next reddit post while talking to Jake without breaking eye contact at 1:34
You know I just finished listening to Serial and find it strange that Amir knew intimate details about the case despite having only listened to part of the opening ad... maybe... no...
So Amir listened to part of the ad, then flew (I assume) to the jail where a convicted murderer was and offered him a conjugal visit based on the very little he heard? His mind is so impressionable.
John Wolf did something *subtle* here, as usual; he created Serial just for this one moment of these 2 fighting. Not illegal but *subtle*, he doesn't need to be there for the fight, he just knows. Sure Serial was successful as result of his *troll* but the fight these 2 had was his real *prize*.
This may seem random but I'm looking for an episode where Amir gets hit on the forehead and starts badly bleeding and he says "yah sliced me yah really diced me"
6 years later and no one has ever more perfectly summed up the internet than Amir when he said "You don't have to know shit to be angry about shit, you just have to have an opinion, dumbass.".
mistydreams2266 A podcast about a guy who was sentenced to life in prison for killing his girlfriend even though there was barely any evidence to prove it. It's like 8 hours long, and she basically just investigates all the evidence. It's really interesting because the case is still ongoing and you get to draw your own conclusions. I would highly recommend it!
Ashley OMG I didn't realize that's what this is about even if u don't like podcasts you'll like this one especially if you're into crime and justice and stuff like that it's so amazing I adore it
I really cant explain why I watch this. I mean i keep on doing so but I cant really tell why i find it entertaining... But keep up the good work You two!
This is forever one of my favorite episodes. Btw this is the 666th comment :) Edit: 10 months later I returned to this episode and cried laughing the entire time. If I make my way back here again I guess I'll have to post another edit. edit 5/27/22: it's been at least two months since the last edit because the comment was posted "1y ago". I just remembered that when this video came out, Rick Rolling was considered a frustrating and annoying prank, not a funny "meme" as we call it, so Amir was being portrayed as an actual jerk for linking someone to Never Gonna Give You Up, whereas nowadays it's just funny. Maybe it's just me.
Finally, several years later, listening to Serial on a friend’s recommendation and just have this line on loop: “Even back then: Adnan was a goofy killer - on the court 😉”
Does watching Jake and Amir make me a Nobel Peace Laureatte? I mean, not necessarily. Maybe it makes me an altruist or philanthropist by now. Anyway, I am definitely definitely a charity donor by now.
Looking for an episode and I know my fellow fans will pull through for me. In the episode, they're both waiting for a chance to say something to each other but aren't sure when to start talking. Jake says something like 'what is happening right now?'
As much as i love J&A i feel like Amir only has one "mood" now in these newer episodes.. like he's always exclaiming something. in the older episodes i feel like he was more entertaining
"You don't have to know shit to be angry about shit" Amir just summed up all of the internet in one sentence
It's 2023 and this is as true as ever
@@DoctorX17 And it will never not be true
"you don't have to know shit to be angry about shit, you just need an opinion." - this is everything that is wrong with this world.
Denying someone's opinion, no matter how ignorant it may be, is something that shouldn't be.
you realize the irony in that statement i hope
that's basically what 99% of all comments on the internet are

Is this a hyperbole, satire, or pure stupidity? no one knows, IT'S THE INTERNET!

Jake always finds Amir's reddit posts so quickly, I think he constantly has them open in another tab
John Angelle I think they edit it.
@@eboooo ...
Tom P I’m mystified by it even today
Or he just has the comment history tab at the ready whenever amir gets in a mood so that he can shut him up
@@eboooo They might even have a script.

Way to scar yourself for life
Oh you poor sweet child...
Did everyone clap?
There is a sub sub genre of porn where they shit on each other while listening to a crazy jazz soundtrack. Dig deeper. Into the shit.
Does posting in the comments make me a doctor? I mean, not necessarily, but I'm at least a paramedic by now.
you've gotta be at least a brain surgeon by now for sure
Can you give me a legit weed prescription?
Your comment made my dad move
goauld88 your comment made me beef soy, my dad saw it and he fricken moved.

He grew up with Adnan. Of course he knows about the case.
Have to give Amir credit he did actually bring his computer to work
😂😂😂😂
"I'm lying but it doesn't matter because I'm loud so you have to acknowledge me." 100% true

his mind is not impressionable
@@theflamingmushullama yes it is

This is like the third time Jake mentioned Amir having an agenda for his conversations.
I thought I was the only one to notice that lol
Yeah I know

Cause it's TRUE
I mean yeah he has lines to deliver
"You don't have to know shit to be angry about shit" pretty much summarizes half of online commentators
Yeah, fuck you.
You are WRONG, my friend Lasagna would tell you otherwise, dumb dumb, learn how to internet better

1:59, that is the saddest and most true thing I've ever heard.
Who’s also revisiting this after Adnan’s release
It was literally this episode of J&A that got me listening to Serial haha

"You don't have to know shit to be angry about shit, you just have to have an opinion" is actually a perfect summary of American culture today.
Weird you quote that while also forgetting the USA is not the only fucking country in existence.
“Ask me almost everything” really made me laugh
I can never get enough Jake and Amir.
I keep coming back.
Is it nostalgia or is it just that amazing?

who's here after the news that syed was released and the conviction overturned? this skit was my only exposure to this podcast.
Amir was truly the voice of a generation
In a bad way.
"You don't have to know shit to be angry about shit" Amir just summed up 70% of internet culture
70%? why so generous?
why'd you steal this joke from this exact same comment section?
I really love jake and amir when reddit is involved
Who’s here now that the conviction was overturned??

Crazy that the ruling was just overturned…
Those great moments when you understand every single reference in an episode of Jake and Amir
I love how unsurprised Jake sounds when he says "it's a link to scat porn."
It was probably not the first time.

It's so funny how I watched this two years ago, before I even knew what serial is.
I can't even find it. It's just links to scat porn.

Poignant social commentary wrapped in silliness. I think that's the point of the show.
Carlos Atwell yeah I think when Amir shit his khakis it was a sly comment on the failure of neoliberalism
That SHHHH at the beginning always kills me. He's so positive but also so mean.
