In this video I do a step by step guide on removing the exhaust on a Ferrari 458 then installing a new IPE F1 titanium exhaust. Total working time is about 12-16 hours and it takes some patience as some parts can be a bit tricky. But for the most part it's just hand tools.

Come on guys……..hit that subscribe button, let’s get NGSC over 100k, they’ve paid their dues and have been putting out quality content for years……just sayin
You are very kind! That would be awesome
Love the "back to the original roots" of diy.... great work as usual.... IPE is my all time favorite...that sound is incredible
It's certainly impressive. Love the sound
Your wrenching skills have vastly improved nicely done
Thanks 👍
Really hard to beat the sound of the older naturally aspirated Ferrari V8s with a good exhaust!
Oh yes
That is glorious. I smile from ear to ear when I hear that sound.
Oh yes
this video is gonna help so many pple...the 458 needs the exhaust to really elevate it from cool to wow. I already had mine done otherwise i would try to do this myself as well
Totally agreed!
I’m amazed you know upfront how aggravating the headers are going to be EVERY time you do them but you’re always able to push through lol Great job man!👏👏👏
Yeah you have to psych yourself up before you start. Lol
Loving the Music selection on this Video. 😂
Thanks
Love the DIY's. Sounds incredible!!
Thanks!
Looks great! I really enjoy the longer videos Dan 😎
Glad you like them!
Dan, you had a video a while back about doing an exhaust on a 458 (might have been yours) and watching this video made me remember how much stuff needs to be removed just to get at the exhaust. 😵 I really like that socket for the O2 sensor.
Yeah there's a lot more stuff on the 458. The tool is super handy
Try Brilliant Exhaust for the 458 next time, pure high pitch F1 sound
This is pretty solid
Great video! Really great to see all the work involved. Awesome sound too. We couldn't really have that here in Europe....😅
Thanks
Nice maintenance video as always.
Thanks!
Nice like old times thank you
You bet
Still loving the videos Dan. I know you’re not stupid but just be careful when using the space saver scissor jacks
We are
Nice work Dan
Thanks
Love the wrenching vids! gunna be sweeeet! Have a great day.
Thanks
Would love to see you guys use axle stands, not liking watching you guys wrenching on a car just on scissor jacks. But excellent work really love your videoes.
Thanks
Looking Good😊
Thank you 😁
Sounds great!
Heck yeah
this install guide can be used additionally if you decide to get a different exhaust package ;)📦
Yes indeed. Applicable to most 458 exhausts
How do I get the headers heat shielded like that
You buy them that way?
Yes,Yes, and some more Hell Yes...
Haha yes
do you need the gasket for the V-band? many exhausts with v bands don’t have gaskets like the set i just bought for my R8?
Eh I mean the gaskets are like $10 so why not just get them
@@normalguysupercar sure. are you using Remflex? or just whatever comes with the kit?
Cool, didn’t realize the 458 had NACA ducts on the underbody panel. I thought on the F40 had them…
Yeah Ferrari does a lot of cool little things like that
V-band clamps are about 15-20 bucks, which yes that may be "expensive" for a small part but....when the vehicle it's being put into is considered that's cheap as hell. :P
These aren't standard v-band clamps. I tried to find one to use and couldn't.
Awesome sound but I have a question, what does the state police think about the sound? 🤣
Eh probably not fans
Love these videos. Making the ID with genius doesn't read any file or old tune, it only makes an ID of the file and the tuner will pull that stock file from an online DB. So if you ever already have a tune loaded that you dont want to lose or just remove a dtc or two you need pull the ecms on here and make a read from master/slave. ID files is only good for making full job each time you will do a write. I want to swap my IPE Sport cats to test pipes but this looks like to aggravating of a job and I don't trust anyone locally. Any idea the difference in sound from there sport cats to test pipes? Wish i lived anywhere near you guys lol
Ah gotcha
Is this 458 forsale?
No
In future I’d like a before and after install to see the sound difference. Any buyer would like know if it’s worth it to them. Quality of sound and loudness at low and high throttle.
Ok
Holy shit this is labor intensive. Can I ask what's a reasonable amount to be charged for labor on this job?
$3-6k
Isn’t titanium not an ideal metal to make an exhaust out of?
Not idea but it works
👍👌
Thanks
Never sounds as good as 12 cylinders
Eh I don't know. Depends on the v12...
@@normalguysupercar nothing does until you put an IPE on it!
I think i saw flames?
Yup it should
Remind to never do this on the 458 I'll never get
Haha noted. It's all good
