Ia it okay if you grind it? As i knoe, if we grind. It would take off the coating on the iorn plate. When coating gone, thus would make the waffle stick and splitting
Hi The best way to season the pan when new is to turn it on to 250° so it hot and put a vegitable oil in it and let it heat for about 10+ minutes. turn the Hvd on its side to drain the oil out and you are now seasoned. This is only needed to be done once when its new.
Hey there and thanks for the reccomendation - however I have been told by multiple wafffle franchisees that HVD is a superior brand. Also, although the Waring Pro is good...the waffles produced in its commecial version are round "american" style - not the oblong european style I am after. Cheers :)
Hi in protein and Iron.. I am using an air compressor to blow it frequently. The other way to do it is soak in caustic soda then water blast clean. Have also cleaned the plates with dry ice air blasting and soda blasting
Hey Chris, I tried sending you a private message, but not sure if you got it. I'm interested in the waffle iron, but don't want to throw out any personal info in the comments, please check your messages when you get a chance. Thanks!

I love the Lone Ranger!!! I used my Dremmel 4000 with jewelry wire brushes as mine was a Vintage Universal from 1940's

It doesnt work what machine do you use?
Do you do any type of seasoning before cooking with the newly cleaned iron? If so, what method and product do you use to season? Thanks!
Love the music!
What kind of machine is this?
How often do you clean your waffle maker? Does anyone know where in the US I can purchase a HVD A57?
You forgot the tig welder and jackhammer.
Isn't it bad to scrape the iron like that?
YES VERY BAD
That right. Lol
