  • On 11th day of waxing moon period, in a Hindu month of Ashadh, the spiritual process of Pandharpur Wari begins. It is a 800 years old tradition in which a Palakhi with Padukas or footprints of Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Saint Tukaram Maharaj are carried from their respective shrines to Pandharpur. The devotees come from all parts of Maharashtra and Northern Karnataka bringing together the true essence of Marathi culture. Almost half a million of people walk 150 miles for 21 days singing bhajans throughout their journey just to meet their Lord Vithoba.
Just go through this experience once and tell me, do you find Warkari in yourself?
