The way don Eladio dives into the pool at the begining reminds me of the way he fell into the pool when he was poisoned by Gus
Yeah, it's a nice call-back.
Watching BCS adds depth to BrBa. This series is laden with call-backs, call-forwards, plus pays homage to other great cinema ... just like Breaking Bad did.
I think that was the idea
15:30 Gus: "May we talk?"
Mike: "You’re light on stickers."
Gus: ".... uh...."
Hay is not a judge. Shes a prosecutor. She doesn't have to be unbiased at all. Her job actually is to defend the victim (in this case Chuck) and punish the guilty. She really is just doing her job.
They seem to have literally no grasp of how the justice system works
@@derikk3215 so what... they don't need to have a firm grasp of how the justice system works.
@@brod515 when they make commentary on it, would it not be fair to at least know what you're talking about?
@@flamefusion8963 no... why would that be the case. reaction videos are literally about just seeing people react to a show... ANYONE can react to it regardless of knowledge and anyone can comment on It as well. you don't have to be qualified in any way to commentate on a reaction to a video...
@@brod515 sure, you are free to make an uninformed opinion. That wasn't really my point. It would be preferable to be more informed than less informed though and it would be better to not be as do polarized about things you are not informed about.
Gus and his business partner Max Arciniega were 100% not actual brothers. Gus rescued him from the slums of Chile and paid for his education in chemistry, and then went on to name the chemistry scholarship he endowed in Max's name as well. That's how he found Gale, by awarding him that scholarship. It's heavvvily implied they had a romantic relationship, and Vince Gilligan even has made sure not to deny it when asked.
Tactful totally agree
100% agree. it's very obvious that Max and Gus were lovers. you gotta read between the lines. rewatch the episode and you can see the subtext. also pay attention to how the others talk about them and disparage them, how they choose to insult them.
@@the_nikster1 who's max??
@@pedrozoz487 Learn to read, then UA-cam comments will be less confusing
@@KlooKloo Learn politeness, then someday someone in real life might not smack you upside the head for being such a douche.
Honestly shocking how often Nahid is wrong yet he is so confident in his incorrect beliefs lol this goes across all multiple shows.
I appreciate his enthusiasm throughout the shows though. He's just not good at picking up things 😅
He's also one of those guys who sides with Walt in BB. Nothing personal against him, but it's like one bad take after another lol.
@@MacGuffinExMachina Well he said fuck Walt in this episode so don't think he liked him much. But I know what you mean Rick on Blindwave reaction sided with Walt for almost the entire 5 seasons. While Blaming Jessie for everything.
@@wisewolftony Well, Nahid and Rick are both idiots so...
Personally, being wrong about BrBa or BCS is one of my favorite past times.
@@wisewolftony Team Walt all the way. Gus got what he deserved, and Jesse never should have talked to Hank. Jesse wanting to kill Walt for what he did to Brock, totally fair. But kill him, don't rat like a bitch
I feel like every word that comes out of Nahid's mouth is always incorrect.
That poor man must be cursed.
Or just sucks, I guess.
Salamanca: More like "The Butt Brothers."
Nahid: They were definitely biological brothers.
Klager lmao :(
What's worse is that he's always so confident when he says these completely incorrect things.
@@jajjaspson8001 Statistics shows that smart people are usually insecure because they worry and think too much, while idiots mostly just believe that they're right. I'm just leaving this out here.
I love how this show puts a whole new spin on Walter and Hector's final team up to take down Gus.
coming from Gus, that offer for therapy is probably a way to know what people are thinking and their concerns.. the employee goes, spills his beans to a 'therapist' in Gus' pocket and then he knows if they're gonna cause trouble or not in the future.
we know Gus is meticulous like that..
@Almir Morals Yes, excellent point. Gus would absolutely have that contingency covered.
That's immediately what I thought to.
I can't wait until you guys are caught up, season 4 and season 5 so good
Sabrosito is like saying delicious. in spanish
"Damn I thought we were gonna see Hank for a minute."
"Man... I wish."
They all had issues. Hank was a racist, a bully and a dirty cop. Walt and Jessie both manufactures meth and killed. Skyler cheated and then gave Walt's money to her fuck buddy to save her ass, and Marie was a thief and a compulsive lair. Taking evidence without a warrant. Tried breaking into the RV without a warrant. Assaulted Jessie, then entered his house without a warrant. He violated peoples constitutional rights. Used Walt to put a tracker on Gus's car without a warrant. Treated his wife and Gomez like shit multiple times. Assaulted Walt, a man half his size (with cancer) like the coward he is. He did whatever the fuck he wanted. Then he ran into bigger racist who didn't care about his right to live. I'm glad Hank died like he did.
@@clownafra3236 Calm down with that Hank hate, fuckboy.
Wait till Season 5
Guys, the lawyer (Ms. Hay) is not a judge, she's the prosecutor taking Chuck's case against Jimmy. She's not supposed to be impartial.
When Hector told Gus that Gus now had to be Hector's mule, he was just playing into Gus's hands. Now, Gus has a monopoly on transportation and makes him even more indispensable to the cartel.
Mike was the connection between Gus and Saul. Jimmy and Gus were never connected without Mike.
Sabrosito is the diminutive word for Sabroso, which closely means "Tasty" or "Savory"
Closest thing to "Los Pollo Hermanos" in IRL is probably "El Pollo Loco'' like a Mexican version of KFC with grilled chicken tortillas and burritos on the menu. its honestly pretty delicious IMO
Ocho loco.
El Pollo Loco this guy huh?
Coldwire they actually have Los Pollos Hermanos on Uber Eats as a ghost kitchen in Southern California
Oh man.. you guys are gonna love what's coming up soon.
get ready for the CHICANERY
My man. I'm looking forward to seeing their reactions to next episode.
@@gamecreatorc or episode 508 😉
Oh, yeah.
I'm waiting for season finale 'lantern'
Saul never met Gus. He only knew OF him through Mike. In Breaking Bad, when Walt botched the first meeting, he was trying to get Saul to set up a second meeting but Saul didn't know anything about what he looked like or who he was. He could only set it up through Mike
"I know a guy who knows a guy, who knows another guy."
"I never called him, I called a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy"
The intro is a callback of Hector pissing on Don Eladio swimming pool from that episode when he kills Gus' partner.. (by the camera shot, we know he did it for shure when they all left)
no its a callback of eladio himself dying and falling into the pool
@@MattMajcan you're right. I actually forgot about the opening scene of Don Eladio diving into the pool..
I was referring to the end scene though, when Don Bolsa says 'don't insult him'.. given he is familiar with the way Hector shows disrespect for Eladio...
NAHID IS RIGHT! In better call Saul, Red = up to no good, blue = obeying the law. Also, black = bad intentions & white = good intentions. Notice Kim is almost always wearing white and blue! And when Jimmy is back to his slipping self, he’s most likely wearing some form of red or black. This show is amazing!
I for one absolutely believe Gus and his partner were romantically involved, i feel like the show kind of implied that. i never realized some people actually thought they were brothers.. wtf? they arent even the same race lol
I never considered them brothers, but the show never implied they were in a romantic relationship either .
@@Feisty123 exactly and people say it's implied because hector says so. Why believe what the Salamancas say? They have been insulting Gus for years.
I never viewed them as biological brothers but more of a brotherhood people form in combat. In my first view, I leaned towards him reacting the same way as loosing an extremely close, best friend. After a couple of re-watches it's clearer to me they were romantically involved.
I mean, you don't have to "look" like someone to be related lol but I get your point
@@slimshazy2819 exactly I look like my mother who is Hispanic and my brother looks more like my father as in white as the sun shockingly cocasian
I love any interaction between Mike and Gus, because Gus doesn't do much 1 on 1s, and you know how much reverence Mike will eventually say Gus' name with
Scenes with Don Eladio and Hector, especially together, are horrifying for the same reason Tuco induces anxiety; not just power, not just lack of morals, but unpredictability. Gus is often considered scary, but he is also highly predictable. Feed a given result in, get a predictable result back out. He rarely does things 'just because', so an underling talking to Gus is only at risk if he has an actual reason to get them, like in Box Cutter. On the other hand, from Gus' original, uh, interview with the Don during the flashback in BB, we get the feeling these guys just do this stuff to prove they can, to get off on their power over others, meaning it's essentially arbitrary.
"There's blue. That's good, right?" lmaooo wtf
She's not biased guys. Chuck is the victim and Charles (Saul) is the offender. If we didn't have an established negative view of Chuck her behavior would've seemed considerate.
Yeah, I found it quite off-putting how much they hated on her even though she had no way of knowing the background story and could only know the overt part of the story how Jimmy violently assaulted his older brother.
To be clear - Chuck is a powerful man in the legal world. Most of his peers owe much of their careers to him. He is highly respected and even those who do not know him directly are in awe of his reputation.
Chuck uses his influence to manipulate the system. Chuck changed Jimmy's predicament. By law, Jimmy was a lawyer in danger of some jail time. Chuck negotiated everything and changed it to what Chuck wants - no jail time but Jimmy's Law License.
Notice how Chuck appears to have no trouble being around electricity when his mind is focused on "the thrill of the hunt".
Eladio is a Greek name, so he must be of Greek descent. Mexico is a beautiful diverse country. Open your mind guys. I myself am of Mexican-Italian descent and speak both my native languages. 😉
Almost every country is a diverse country at this point.
maybe it's a coincidence, but his name does resemble the Spanish word for ice-cream. "Helado" (H is silent)
@@damagecontrol7 Hector is definitely using a pun in the name of his ice cream shop. But, note that "helado" is not pronounced exactly the same as the name "Eladio." The name ends in "dio" - and both vowels are pronounced. Also, note that the little figurine is a fat, Greek man in a toga, so obviously Hector is making fun of Don Eladio. Eladio knows this, which is why he plays along with the little "Sabrosito" figurine and why he rubs in Hector's face, the fact that he wants Hector to deliver his money in the same neat manner that Gustavo does, and why he puts on the Pollos Hermanos t-shirt. He is not interested or appreciates that Hector is using a little fat Greek man in a toga as his ice cream shop's mascot. He knows that Hector cannot stand being shown up, especially by a homosexual Chilean man. Hector is proud Mexican man and homophobic, so to have Gustavo favored over him makes Hector angry at Don Eladio (but he is the kingpin, so aside from pissing in his pool, there is nothing Hector can do about him), so Gustavo gets to suffer his ire.
"Your reactions are cute." *puts on a Waverider shirt*
I died hahaha
I cant wait to see the reaction to chicanery... One of my favorites!
The closest think to Los Pollos Hermanos is probably El Pollo Loco, except they don't serve fried chicken. It's like grilled or roasted chicken and like Tex Mex stuff. Clearly the name was an inspiration, and Latin food and chicken being what they serve primarily.
I know the show still has a season 6 to go so we may still get an answer to this question, but I just wonder what Lyle thought when he found out about Gus and his operation. He seems like such a loyal employee so I wonder if he was just devastated or hell maybe, he felt relieved to know that not even his boss was perfect 🤣
It is implied that Gus & Max's relationship may have been a romantic one, which Vince Gilligan has acknowledged, and decided against confirming or denying.
I like Hector's voice, it has dominance
She was absolutely doing her job. She is the prosecutor.
Remember, Nahid, the reason why the war with Gus started is not because of Walt's ego, it is because he saved Jesse's life. It's also suggested that Gus ordered Tomas' murder, in order to anger Jesse and get himself killed by confronting the dealers.
Walt did a lot of selfish things, but I'm tired of people thinking that Gus' operation was ruined because of Walt's ego, when it wasn't.
I feel like Walt would've still done something. He has the biggest ego in Breaking Bad.
Well, the Greek name for Greece is Ellada.
Walt is like F5 tornado which completely wipes up everything
95% sure the real Pollos hermanos is like gus uncle or something. The recipe was developed the the actual Pollos hermanos brothers I think, cause in breaking bad it had a commercial talking about the Pollo Hermanos
Absolutely loved this episode!!
Keep watching, It only gets better and better
Blows my mind that none of these characters have seemed to age in the past decade
Also the theme song of gus is so good
I think they aged pretty severely personally, but that's how it goes.
Uh don eladio looks way older
Tuco aged a lot, Mike a little. Saul somehow managed to disguise it.
Sabrosito is the diminutive of sabroso, which means tasty
Someone correct me if you can recall a scene, but i don't think Saul and Gus ever shared the screen together on Breaking Bad. I got the impression they knew of each other, but were mainly linked by their respective relationships with Mike.
I think it's implied that Saul initially thought Gus was a client Mike knew through the veterinarian. "I know a guy who knows a guy... who knows a guy."
Actually, I do want Mike in my house, his stern-but-fair demeanor might keep me calm in these strange times :)
great reaction
it's funny to see these gringos trying to speak Spanish
lucas veras they’re not white
@@salvatoremccoy4025 maybe he's talking about Hector? Apparently his Spanish is terrible in the show
Twisters was the actual restaraunt but now they changed back to los polls herman's and they are branching into other states.
uhh i guess the closest thing to a Pollos Hermanos would be a Cluckin' Bell
Blue means law in this show. Red and gold mean crime.
Clearly no lawyers on the red couch.
Yeah, I guess they missed the fact that Hay is a deputy district attorney. Off course she isn't unbiased, she doesn't have to be.
22:55 I legit JUST watched Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle seconds before watching this omfg Rana crazy
next episode will be INSANE
Nahid, wrong as always!
Yes
That's his job.
It's very obvious that Gus and Max were lovers, Nahid, no one's fault you didn't get it.
It was not obvious they were lovers. In fact, it isn't even confirmed. It was obvious they weren't biological brothers.
the DA Hey is not supposed to be impartial, she represents the "state". the "state" is representing for the victim, Chuck.
Anyone does anything even slightly against the protagonists of the show:
Pat: DEATH
Arciniega and Fring? Doesn't sound like lastnames of brothers.
14:06 -- Everyone laughing their asses off.
Nahid: Guys, this is a serious medical condition.
Klager a condition for a hateful tv character
@@thomasdang6322 Nah.
he's just really big into conspiracies
Love nahid but this one just ain’t it lol. Think about it “Butt brothers” that’s not a random insult. It doesn’t even make sense regarding their business. It was an obvious dig at their lifestyle as in they (Gus and his partner) were like gay/lovers
so 2 people can't be brothers but have to be gay in your universe
Can't wait for y'all to react to season four of Better Call Saul.
Of course she is bias because she im pretty sure she DA
Rana is the Lyle of this channel
Hannah was the Mike.
you should watch the promotional videos of better call saul. it is Gus training new employees
This is really late but the closest thing to pollos hermanoes is the restaurant they used for shooting. Twisters
I don't think Saul ever met Gus. Remember he told Walt that he never knew his name. I think Mike was actually the one who convinced Gus to meet with Walt after a recommendation from Saul.
So Don Hector fancied himself a Caesar.
Pat apologized and said he loves Kash at the beggining of the video.. What did you do Pat?
am i the only who doesn't trust mike's daughter in law? she seems like a user and i just find her strange.
She does put off that vibe, doesn't she? Because of Mike's pain over his son and desire to help - I believe he has a willingness to overlook her subtle manipulation attempts to use him.
Gus was a Robin Hood character?
Hot takes.
I speak Spanish. "Sabrosito" roughly translates into "yummy"
it shares the root prefix for "savory"
It means tasty, like diminutive for tasty
Nice one guys
LOL Rana @ 1:36 😂
I'll bet pollos is the only restaurant to pay a good salary
23:15 lmao, that's an urban legend in México, I don't think it's true
We need more Cache reacts
You guys should really continue with angel beats
I also think BCS is better than BB. They're different shows, and BB is still amazing, but you can tell that Vince has gotten better at his craft over time. He learned a lot from BB, and he clearly has a much bigger budget for this show.
Yeah, "sabrocito" means tasty.
Flavorful = sabrosito
Next episode 😍
We’re is my my hero 4x6 at
Sabrosito could mean yummy
PLEASE KEEP ON REACTING TO BANANA FISHHH!!!!1
Chrish Hemsworth new movie
Pollos Hermanos is a real place in Albuquerque if you’re ever there
I think that he was Gus’ best friend.
Or lover.
The guy that's constantly talking about, "omg look they used this (insert color) here, and it represents (Insert BS here)." Needs to stop. It doesn't go that deep. This guy is that same type of person during a book club meet up talking about how every description talked about on a page represents something. Like Jesus Christ STFU!
any way you guys can react to hitman reborn?
Could u watch the vampire diaries
The word Partner o Socio in Spanish means mostly a business partner. Th word Compañero can also be translated as partner, but in a relationship context. Max says: el es mi compañero (he is my life-partner). It was kinda always clear to me that their relationship was romantic because of the word compañero but when I see the translation I can understand the confusion.
you might wanna speed up
Bring back Rana’s feet
Gus is angry gay who wants revenge for his lover's death.
Season 3 and 4 are as good as Breaking bad .
Chuck is right about Jimmy. But the show still makes us dislike him.
Why do they always say, “this is not a market substitute “??
To try to ward off copyright strikes, along with the fair use timer. Not sure if it actually works, but it does seem their videos stay up more than some of the reactions I watch.
dudes... u are so slow:((
come on, watch faster, do u guys have a time table or something for watching movies??
They're a large channel. They react to multiple things at once and release reactions on a schedule on UA-cam. They release multiple reactions on patron early if you're that desperate. They actually say that at the beginning of every episode. I think you might be the slow one my dude
