I travel a couple times a month for my corporate job. Often times meal times and locations are out of my control so I tend to be overly prepared and bring lots of my own food with me. This trip was an 8 day trip in Madrid so I packed more than normal. This video shows examples of food I bring with me on my trips to make it easier to maintain a carnivore diet.
I also included how I make dehydrated ribeye's. You could follow this same process with any cut of meat to make your own meat chips and/or jerky.

You have a great channel and love all the carnivore snacks you've shown. I need to find them in Canada..
Would really look be to speak with you - for a interview- let me know if you may gut be interested:).
Thanks!!
Laura, I work for TSA and anything that is frozen is allowed no matter the size. Frozen water bottles and frozen butter are allowed. Thanks for the video.
Very interesting
In Indiana & also in Alaska (Oct/Nov 2022), I had my frozen ice packs confiscated with the option of going out of security & adding the ice packs to a checked bag. Not all TSA staff at all airports are so accommodating. I’ve lost a few of these over the years because it’s hit or miss on this rule.
❤thank u
I wasn’t aware that you can bring unsealed food on international trip. It is good to know for my next trip this year. Thanks
Super prepared! No wonder you’re the corporate trainer! Looks like a lot of work but I’m sure the options make it worth it!
Ive noticed over the past ''just about'' two years now being fully carnivore. I can deviate a little bit here and there with no issues. Like I can have heavy whipping cream with gums in it and the gums don't bother me if its just like once a month and not a large serving. I can have stevia, I can have 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder with no negative effects. Besides any anti nutrients that's just naturally in cocoa.
I eat literally just beef, pork, salt, water, eggs, butter every day. Once every three months I like to have a small amount ''usually one serving size'' of something off diet. But within guidelines I made myself. Like no seed oils, no veg/fruit or grain. So really I'm just adding some heavy whipping cream, stevia or maybe some almond flour. That's as far as I deviate. So far once every other month or every three months seems okay.
Laura, I really appreciate your channel so much! I've been carnivore for 5 days now and your videos are helping me tremendously! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Good job! Today, June 1, is my first day. 🎉
Oh that's so exciting! It's the 1st day to a brand new you!! ❤️
How is your carnivore journey going?
Great video, as always! I have lived in France for 8 years and I travel quite a bit in Europe. I do not know where you are going, but you will find AMAZING cheese in the supermarkets, and wherever you are -- if you have time-- try to find the local outdoor market. Farmers and butchers come with cheeses, butters, and fabulous salamis. Lots of fresh meat, too, but I do not know if you will be cooking. Enjoy your trip.
I was in Madrid..I had TONS of delicious options!!
@@LauraSpath Madrid is great for meat lovers! Esp pork 😅
How you pass customs with meat ?
😂”I have no shame.”❤ ‘Totally felt that. You rock!
😂😂
Great info Laura, I find for the fatter cuts of meat like bacon, and ribeye that cooking in the oven at 190-200 degrees produces a better product, better than the lower temp of a dehydrator.
How long do you have to do that?
@@tondalea7097 till they are dry to your liking 4-6hr
@@Cidfloyd thank you !
How long do they stay fresh in the fridge and can you freeze them?
What do you place them on while in oven?
Yummy.
Batman Here Now Because Of The Caveman Diet.
Thanks for such an informative video. I always enjoy your shopping or preparing videos!!
Thank you for showing how to plan and prepare for trips. Lot of thought and effort, grateful that you shared this with us😊
Thanks for sharing how you make the jerky! It was helpful!
Be safe & have fun even though it’s a work trip. This was such an informative and interesting video. Great preparation! By the way, I love your chicken salad too.
Praying for travel grace! 🙏🕊️
Super helpful! I’ve been carnivore only 10 months and plan to travel at the end of June. Very nervous. Writing everything down. Thank you so much!!!
This is a video i really needed. I started carnivore in April. So far I've traveled 3 different times. And with summer coming, plan on traveling even more. Almost every weekend is a boating weekend. Trips always detail me.
Great idea on using refillable ice bag! You always have good ideas!
You are filling me with hope that I can do this! Thankyou. Other than chicken salad ( mayo) and eggs I would eat all of that! You don’t know how relieved I am to find you.
Such great info and instruction. Loved Chris’ seal of approval on the ribeye jerky. Now I am really hungry.
Thank you for another AMAZING Video!!!
I’m two weeks into ketovore and we’re having freakishly warm weather in the 90’s-just placed an order through LMNT, using your discount code. Thanks!
the ice pouch idea alone was worth the view! Now I want ribeyes 😋
Hi Laura, I just recently started eating carnivore and was having a mental freeze as far as what to make for my meals. Your videos have helped me out tremendously. I'm so glad I found you! I've been binge watching you all morning you have fantastic meal prep suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to help us rookies 😊
I learned so much from this video! Thank you
We have no shame either, we go as far as packing a good pan and knife when we travel, because we go to soo many places that don't have good ones. Our last trip I have 14lbs of meat in my checked bag :)
Have a good time working in Europe. I can’t wait to hear how your food journey was there. ❤ As always fantastic tips ❤
Fun!!!! Have a great trip
I tried beef short ribs thanks to you and fell in love!!
This was the video I needed! Thank you! Great tips! 😊
Fantastic travel tips, for any woe!
Yes! Extremely helpful tysm and safe travels ❤
Thanks for Sharing.
Great tips , I am listing good now. Thank you so much!
those dehydrated ribeyes look amazing!!!!!!!😮
Great ideas..very helpful! Thank You!
loved seeing your Spain trip. 🫶🏼
Have a great trip!
Thank you, Laura, for this video. Wow! your amazing. You gotta do what got to do. 😊
Your are so organized...I am having trouble week to week making sure we have enough food. Are you allowed to bring food into foreign countries? Love your videos. You keep it real and easy. Thanks for sharing all of this with us.
Those pork rinds are amazing. They are my absolute favorite.
Your style is my fave. Still waiting for hair a makeup video. Pleeeese. ❤
Very helpful tips!
If you have not yet tried South African biltong (So. African jerky), and droerwors ("dried" sausage), would recommend you try those items. Delish!!
Great tips!! Thanks for sharing
Stay safe and have a good time.
Genius regarding the medical ice bag!!!!
I will be on vacation for first time in a while & need to be sure I bring some LMNT & other items I eat.
I really love the carnivore snaxs ! They’re the best ! Where did you find the mozzarella packs ??
Great ideas!
Great tips!!
Great info, thanks.
Costco had the Tahin pork rinds on sale for about $4/bag!!! If you have sensitive teeth, then beware. The citric acid on the Chios will make that worse. I do a baking soda solution swish after eating to reduce pain.
Super helpful!
Thanks Laura! 👍
Thanks for the great videos! Just wanted to let you know some of the links are not working like the one for the under the seat bag.
Have you tried carnivore crisps? If so how do they compare to carnivore snacks? Thanks.
The carnivore crisps taste nasty on their own. If you are adding cheese and seasonings on top to make "nachos" they might be doable.
Pemmicsbs would be the best choice😊
Have you ever tried buying the silica gel packets and adding them to your jerky bags before vacuum sealing them to prolong the self life when you’re on long trips?
I love you! Couldn’t find the shaved ribeye Carnivore Revolution used but found thin sliced ribeye and was worried it would be too thick… I can pound it! You’re a Genius!!! Haha thank you
Great video. I have always been taught and read that if you are going to dehydrate meat at that temperature, one must use a nitrate of sorts to prevent botulism. What is your opinion regarding this? I am not trying to be negative in any way. I am just asking.
Great tips! :)
My Walmart used to sell a super thin "shaved" ribeye. I bought it once and my cooking left it too tough. I'm not sure what I paid for it per pound but I bet that would make terrific jerky.
Our Costco sells thin sliced ribeye! I'll be buying some for sure.
Hey Laura, Where do you get the little Redmond Real Salt containers?
You should put that cheaper dehydrator on a smart plug and set the on off timer. Super east!
Hi Laura, have you ever experimented with cutting out all dairy? When I eat cheese, my hunger/satiation signals go out the window. I almost always overeat as opposed to when I eat just meat. Thanks!
i checked out those paleo valley sticks. They are made with celery juice and or powder and thus are cured with nitrites in addition to whatever fermentation process they go through. I only really worry about nitrites with cured products that re cooked , like bacon or hot dogs, because studies have shown that high heat is required for nitrosamine formation, which is the carcinogenic compound that occurs in these cured meats (whether cured with sodium nitrite or celery juice). If you can find cured products that have ascorbic acid blended into them studies have found that this antioxidant hinders the formation of nitrosamines when cooked.
How did it work out taking meat into another country and back to the US?
I’ve run into restrictions when I came back from other countries as to what the US would allow in.
Just made purchase and didn't get a sample pack. 9/26/23.I used your name too. Where do you get the pill tower? I found it on Amazon.....thank you for all you share and you and your family are a great inspiration!!
LMNT is not readily available in Australia so cost is $118 for a pack of 30! 😢 but luv your channel Laura ❤
Just bought some of those pork rinds at Costco
I am thinking about taking a suitcase to check just for my food. Going to Hawaii& yes you can shop there, but the food prices & some items I eat aren’t available. Any thoughts or ideals welcome. ❤
Great Video
Do you have trouble getting thur TSA with all the food?
What countries do you travel to that allow outside meats and produce? I've travelled pretty widely and most countries are very restrictive. I'm headed to Singapore in Sept. and they dont even allow it in if it's cooked and sealed packaged. UHG! I'm just hoping I can stay on track by finding meat dishes at resturaunts while there.
Have you tried to put bacon in the dehydrator? The steak looks amazing. So many great travel tips here. Not cheap but definitely great.
Safe travels…🐾🧸
Good morning 🌞
What do you do if you go to lunch at someone house and they serve sandwiches, and fruit
Laura, they say that uric acid from meat is what causes gout. How do you avoid that because I am interested in this way of eating. You have done tremendous!! You look so beautiful! ❤
Lauren, have u tried from Costco Wilde protein, chips, buffalo style, crispy chips, crafted from real ingredients, chicken breast, egg whites, and chicken bone broth raised without antibiotics 10 g of protein. There’s only 1 g of sugar.about 8.99. A lil cheaper than Carnivore Snax.
I hope my Costco has those!!! Thx. ❤
I love them
The Wilde chips use seed oil so inflammatory and not super clean
@@rebeccafriend7186 ahhhh, thank u for bringing that up. Won’t be buying any more! Thx. 👌🙏👍🏻
With peanut butter and spreadable cheese being considered a liquid by TSA, do you repackage the Boursin cheese? Or do you just keep it in the original package? We’re getting ready to fly and want to take snacks.
What do you do for your job Laura?
wow, beef super scout always prepared
Hi airlines allow you to take food on the plane in bulk??
Great food tips for Carnivore eaters but do you have any recommendations for drinks for someone who is trying to stay off carbs and sugar. I have been drinking "ICE" which is a fairly good tasting
"no sugar, no calories, no carbs" drink. But do you have some other healthy drink?
With all their crazy rules I can't believe they even let you take that much food on board! So glad they do though for your sake (me personally I never want to fly again lol)!
Well most countries have a Costco. You might be able to find some of the meats there. Just a thought.
I didn't have any way to cook in my hotel.
@@LauraSpath true. Ms Peterson packs her air fried. But cheeses n deli meats I’m sure you can spot if you have an accessible club store. But I enjoyed you option of that is not available.
Laura, Do you eat butter or oil?
About to move from keto to carnivore, but I doubt I can go 100% on this diet. I love very spicy foods… not sure I can give up my hot pepper sauces….
Awesome practical tips!
LOL, all my colleagues got violently I’ll…Damm I’m naughty laughing at this.
Electrolytes to the rescue!!:)
How did you open the sealed ribeye on the plane? I am assuming no pocket knife allowed?
These vacuum sealed bags are actually notched on the side so they tear open very easily.
Its my understanding that you can't take meat or dairy into the EU from a non EU country? I'm planning a trip to London, non EU I know however same regulations, and I am only taking what I can eat before arrival. Are you hip to loopholes I've missed? lol If so please share😊 Also, does your butter and chicken salad have to go in your liquids bag for tsa? Thank you for so many travel tips! I always take snacks because as you said you never know what will be available.
You can take meat and dairy to the EU as long as it's for personal consumption and not for sale. The chicken salad is NOT a liquid but butter IS...so you can only have 3oz of butter. My jerky and Carnivore Snax are fine to take.
Holy smokes, Amazon wants $79 for that little dehydrator now!
LMNT is crazy expensive
I have a feeling a lot of that food would not clear customs. Have you done it before?
If you don't have dehydrator, can you make the jerky in the oven on low heat but for how long?
some microwaves even have a dehydrate setting!😊
What brand of dehydrator do you have please?
There’s a link to it in the show notes
Are amazing.
Did you check if your package food will pass custom inspection in the country you're going? Have a wonderful trip
Yes! 👍
ooh does anyone know if Laura put her loaded chicken salad recipe anywhere?
Yes she made a short video on her channel. Just search Laura Spath loaded chicken salad
I've been eating real bacon crumbles, but I like the idea of cooking actual bacon 🥓 instead. 😋
