Liz, my husband was active duty for twenty-two years! We have three kids(now grown with their own!), and I taught for twenty-five years, so we were definitely early to bed and early to rise!! Even the bathroom wasn’t safe! Kudos to you for being a military wife! That which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, lol!
It is definitely not for the faint of heart!! We are a pretty resilient bunch because we have to be. Thank you for your and your husbands service too!! I always said there is a special bond with us military spouses. Your right when mine were little there was no safe space. Not even the bathroom!!! I would have little hands sliding under the door calling my name!!! I might also add my husband never had interruptions when he was in there!!!! Must be nice…😉😂

Lovely to visit with you at Keepsakes. When I was over in USA with my hubby quite a few years ago, He said ‘shop for whatever you want’, at stitching shops. My friend couldn’t believe it. Funny thing was I still came home with cash on the card. Happy stitching ladies.

I also wish I had stitchy friends near me. My favorite thing at my first visit was Susan. She helped me with fabric and floss. At the time I had no idea she was known for great conversions. Very friendly and welcoming store! Steph, Pam, Jen, Sarah and you two should all just sit around the table, stitch and do a live so we can feel like we're stitching with you all. 😀
Sounds like there’s a lot of laughter that goes on down there at Keepsakes. If I’m ever in your part of the world, I’m definitely heading over there- I don’t care what the hubby might say about it! This episode warmed my heart… watched it while catching up on floss tube during our nor’eastern snowfall. Having stitchy friends is such a joyful experience, and I am so happy to see your friendship(s) and am so thankful to have the same kind of connection here at home. I discovered a LSS shortly after it opened 3 years ago, and am now fully a part of the most wonderful community. Also! Thanks for being enablers, lol. I fell in love with the Jardin Prive Quakers and am stitching the Gentleman Quaker while watching 😊. I just love him and raided my stash of sulky threads. How fun to visit Keepsakes. I was able to stop there last summer while vacationing . Susan helped me with my purchases. Barbara recommended a Catholic Church for us to attend the next day before we headed home. Those surprise boxes look so fun.

LOL how fun!!! I grew up in southern Ohio so I have a sister close by. When I visited last fall I stopped in to Keepsakes for the first time and it was WONDERFUL! Barbara was such a sweet heart! Steph had me talk to Barbara about wholesaling my journals and it was such a learning experience! She was a doll and so kind and encouraging! My sister does not even stitch but she was overwhelmed by the fun and creativity in the shop! I am attending Weekend A at Stitch-Con and I am so freaking excited!!! Thanks for sharing ladies!!! I visited Keepsakes for the first time in October and oh, my! It's a very good thing that I don't live closer, because I would be broke. There are soooooo many beautiful things there and everyone is so gracious.
My husband and I just planned a trip from PA to St. Louis this summer. Our first stop along the way will be Keepsakes. I cannot wait! Thanks for a preview of the shop. I will be counting the days until I walk through their door.
