So happy when I see you've posted another video :) You're both so generous with your time, knowledge and community :) I'm learning something new with every time you share. My grandma had a sewing basket like yours and I used to play with her thimbles. I've seen the project bags all over UA-cam, but don't have one. I'm new to this world of stitchery. I've sewn for a long time, but am learning cross-stitch, so I'm always sure to tune in when you all pop up :) A lovely "bag" would be nice to carry the red "cottage" kit in along with a "bee" threadkeeper... That's another new discovery, a threadkeeper! Who knew! I know, your're probably thinking, where has she been? I enjoy watching both of you very much and you inspire me to look through my whips and try to do as much as I can. I am celebrating my 70 birthday on April 1, and it is hard because I especially get tired in the evening! I always use a project Bag because I find that keeps more organized. I am trying to make some because I also sew and have made several quilts. Cross stitch has inspired me so much this last two years. I loved your tour of your home Shelly! It was so amazing and beautiful! Keep up with your videos. They are great.

Watching you girls and your awesome basket finds led me to look back at a basket I own. I hadn’t looked in the basket for many years and found some crocheted and tatted items that my grandma had created. I’m excited and am thinking that I will incorporate some of this along with my stitching to be framed as a keepsake. Or, I have a picture of my grandma in her rocker crocheting and I may take that apart and reframe including her pieces. Grandma lived across the street and passed when I was 18. I still miss her and wish that we could share a cup of tea and some stitchy time!! Bag, cottage. Thanks again girls for a great couple of hours while I stitched. Kristy Shepherd
Quaker Bird Sampler....Oh My.... that is gorgeous! Love your fabric and thread choices! I think that was my fave from your stitching shares today! Altho you two are quite the enablers lol! Your stitchy friends are so lucky to spend time at your home stitching and visiting! I would plant myself out by that water wheel and enjoy the peaceful sound of the water as a background to the stitchy chatter!

As a kid in the area, i didnt appreciate what it was to live in Americas birthplace, but as an adult i LOVE to walk through Colonial Williamsburg....cause history, but also Baskin Robins ice cream shop is at the end! 😁

Another great floss tube video of sharing in your stitching projects and I keep learning things I hadn’t known before, ie. that 7 ct cloth that Shellie is stitching her Prairie School Santa on😀. Oh and I made a bee line to add to cart my preorder of Beloved sampler and the My Little Sampler from Sylvia as soon as she showed them with her husband on her floss tube. Shellie just as you said, it is the most beautiful sampler of all! So I’ll be looking for that SAL when it comes out in the future. Steph and Pam bring me lots of joy with their fun on the videos too and so happy for you two to see them frequently at Keepsakes! The bag with William Morris Strawberry print was soo pretty! My husband gave me a #8 shaker box from New Hampshire Shaker Boxes for Christmas! Mine is lined with Strawberry Thief fabric inside and has it on the pincushion too! I have a sewing basket like you showed. It has the ring handle, the tassels, and beading on the top. Inside is a handwritten note from my mother saying that the basket belonged to her grandmother. Since I am 77 this basket has a little bit of age to it. I’m thankful to my mother for saving this piece of history and linking four generations of stitchers.

it is true certain Hymns or songs bring tears to the eyes, one which always gets to my heart at Easter is" Where you there when they crucified My Lord". It brings back a very special service I attended and it stayed with me through the years.

Holy cow! Another video packed with so much content. Love Gammas Treasure bag. What a great message for solo stitchers. Pam and Steph do a great job of connecting stitchers. I attended Stitch Con last year and was so impressed with Barbara. She exudes kindness and certainly showed how much she loves her community. The shop was great. For a small house they use the space very well. I won’t be attending this year because my daughter is getting married the week before. Hope to meet you at another retreat or Stitch Con in 2024. Great video! Brenda Gervais is one of my favorite cross stitch designers! Doesn’t surprise me too much because her sister Sandy Gervais is one of my favorite fabric designers. A very talented family. Fantastic! I love your two hours. I use the treadmill 30 min. every morning and listen to you, then stop it and rerun it to take notes. I record the time and start the next day where i left off. You two ladies are so good together. I am a 14 ct stitcher…..no hoop but I can easily adapt your 46 ct or what ever to my 14 ct. I am using my cloth stash to make project “bags”. Never can have too many bags.
Hi ladies-another great video! I love to use a pretty project bag to hold my projects. I would like to have a cute cottage for my sewing studio. A tomato sure makes a sandwich taste good. I hope a bee doesn't sting me when I am in my garden. Oh, Shellie, I am the person who asked you about the All Through The Night pattern! I got right on their website last night and ordered some kits, including the one you did. I should have realized whose pattern that was, as I have three other big kits from her. I’m really enjoying your floss tubes too. I’m a solitary stitcher and I find so much encouragement stitching along I started Live Abide a couple of years ago but on some scratchy linen, back in the days before I discovered where to get the better stuff. It’s much harder to find in the UK Im also planning to start the little red schoolhouse sampler. I just love it.
