1st off,you are Gorgeous! And 2,I've been braiding for a while but never Got the box braid thing down pack! I've seen it down 100 times,but never the technique you showed which looks so much easier ! Add more hair so that the braids don't look too skinny for the part if that makes sense. It gives the finished product a professional and polished look

Just did my own Braids...feel like a brand new Woman! 💛
I've been trying to learn for a couple of months now how to braid hair but never really got the roots pretty. They always had some length and weren't much close to the scalp, which made the braids weird and didn't give them movement. I'll try this technique and see how it goes! It seems much easier than what I had been trying so far

another professional tip : when you're using a different color braiding hair , please take the time and make sure your real hair is tucked under the braiding hair , its easy

I loved the way you separated the hair. That method is easy. I've tried stretching the hair, but I always end up getting it tangled badly. Thanks so much for this tutorial.

this is how I start my box braids out it's just easier for me then the 3part how some people start them out I could never get that although I only taught myself to braid my daughters hair . great job thanks for the stretching tip

Great tutorial! I knew then what I know now, I would have preserved my edges and saved A Lot of time and money by doing my own box braids. I would not have gone to the salons.

Some times peoples box braids are really stiff and not loose they stay in one place I think this video can help people so there box braids are nice

Obviously they aren't dipping them in hot water or not long enough. It takes the stiffness away.

Aqwesha Alston I would agree but many people don't like their hair heavy or close because this will damage your edges, if we would have seen the finishing look then maybe it would have looked more professional

My problem is, when braiding my hair comes out a little lumpy, I need tips on how to get a nice braid itself, do you mind helping me?
To moisturize your hair before putting in the synthetic hair what can you use? Oil, conditioner, shea butter?
Raven2evil1 if you use hair extensions I would suggest not putting oil in it because it can cause your hair to fall out in less time or it will lift weird
