Thanks for posting this. I've been trying to diagnose this on my 2008 328xi e90 BMW on and off for around 2 years. The problem that I run into is that there are so many possibilities that could lead to the trifecta lights and most information on the internet looks at mostly mechanical parts; such as ABS sensors, the axle speed sensors and rings, the VTG actuator motor, etc. Hopefully this one will finally bare some fruit. For a gearhead having these lights screaming at me every time I start my car makes me feel inadequate 😂😅
nice work… similar circuit but (PDC) new block but not coded "works ISTA says that the module is red again (no signal) Now I'm looking for a new PDC kurchkinch
the scope is only to visualize the wave forms and the amplitude , for listening CAN network you need a USB CAN converter , you can buy one or build it yourself
Hey I know it’s pretty old video but was wondering what if I don’t get a wake up signal to the vtg module, all fuses are good, grounds good, battery is good, alternator is good I have checked everything possible and just lost at this point Thank you if you could assist
Great video! I have 2005 X3 and the 4x4, Brake light & ABS lights are lit on the dash. A few weeks ago I scanned it & the error it gave was “5F3A Transfer Case Malfunction” so I changed the transfer case motor gear because the old one was worn out. However the same lights are still on and the new error code reads “54C4 VTG: Calibration Faulty.” Do I need that software you used at the end of this video to correctly calibrate it?
These don't have the serviceable plastic gear like the x3 and x5. If there is no communication with the VTG module such as this case, it will give the same symptoms as if the actuator is faulty, when it's just not getting communication from the VTG module.
Finally! A real BMW diagnostician on UA-cam, not like the other parts changers that don't understand how the systems are working...
Hello Crank ! thanks for the appreciation and feadback

Amazing skills and understanding of electronics. Kudos!
Congrats Ovídiu. It’s so cool to watch ur teaching videos full of knowledge n ability to resolve complex issues to many of us.
Keep it up!
Glad you like them!
Amazing video. I don't intend on doing this but the way you present the information makes it so interesting. I love learning about these components
As always Ovidiu you are going a great job! really interesting even i dont have any concern in E series but watched it with pleasure.
Well done!
Great Job…… I'm waiting for the video from the presentation of your workshop equipment
Coming soon!
great video greetings from Bulgaria!
Hey, thanks!

another good job ;) regards from Poland ;)
Great job!!!!
Thanks for watching
I would have loved to see you dump the software from another card to inject it on that one!
i HAVE THIS EXACT PROBLEM , WISH YOU COULD FIX MINE
Amazing
7:30 Can your scope decode CAN messages in real time?
(Not for this diagnosis but to help build a CAN translator, for instance)
the scope is only to visualize the wave forms and the amplitude , for listening CAN network you need a USB CAN converter , you can buy one or build it yourself
de ce a fost nevoie sa reprogramezi DME ?

do you find solution
@@simomario6769 not yet but then again I haven’t done anything to it since.
Did you find solution now?
Salut de unde pot face si eu rost de WDS pt Bmw?
Foarte bine !
Could you please tell me where did you get the Ambient pressure sensor for the F10 ECU, do you maybe have a link
Hello , I have recover it from a donor ECU , did you see my parts closet ?
Salut .cum pot lua legatura cu tine ?am probleme pe electronica la un bmw f 10 530 d .
Salut , va trebui sa apelezi la un service specializat BMW din zona ta !
Servo motor actuator gear likely stripped. The gear is inexpensive.
