This is disappointing...the app that the gimbal uses has been updated and is now useless...they’ve turned into a social media/get your info thing. And the camera will not connect to the gimbal by itself. It contradicts the info here. I looked everywhere but the only info I found says that even if you want to just use the gimble alone with the camera WiFi you have to go through the app first. Which puts me back on square one. The gimble is not bad on its own. It’s just that I paid for a more expensive gimble for the extra features. And now I’ll probably send it back and start looking all over again
For first timers using a gimbal, it's very difficult to start using this gimbal, and this video is too fast and doesnt help.

This video goes through things so quickly. I’ve had to rewind at least 10 times to makes sense of what you’re doing.
That's the idea, fast and precise. Don't need to talk much about something so simple.

Thank you for this video. Like others have said, it's a bit fast so I had to watch several parts multiple times. It's still better than the written manual though. What they should do is make each little screw and knob a different color or something so the instructions can be more like "loosen the blue knob and adjust it."
For people buying this as their first gimbal (which includes me) the mounting and balancing process gets faster after you do it a few times. It's pretty quick and easy after that.

Please Help!! I’m using the gimbal with a small shotgun microphone and the gimbal goes into SLEEP mode without any warning. Is it not balanced enough? Too top heavy??

As many others have said, why do you go through everything so quickly? It's supposed to be a how-to... then slow down and explain things thoroughly instead of pretending you're late for an appointment.
M2 is not listed in the ZY Play app.... can’t find anywhere online how to find it!! Is it called something else?

Hi, Please help. Single click on trigger button doesn't take me to F mode. I did single click from all other modes but it never took me to F mode. I cant go to F mode at all !!. As given in manual, Long press on trigger button activates F mode and it goes back to previous mode upon releasing the trigger. The firmware version is 2.02 upgraded on 27 June 2020, The Gimbal is purchased in January 2020.. Please help to solve the problem. How to go to F mode.

Why im not able to capture a Video on the rec button when they are connected? Double Tap the rec Button and it takes a picture.... ok that works. Joystick works in L Mode. When i tap the Rec button on the a6000 it says that this function doesnt work in this app. Whats wrong? Any help?

Bought one but I can’t use it because the joystick came off few days after purchase. Now the joystick is missing. It actually comes off easily by itself. I Contacted Zhiyun and they asked me to send video of missing part and proof of purchase. I’m yet to hear from them. It’s been over one week. And oh please can we get support for Canon G7x mkII?

It looks like the ZY Play app cannot make wifi connection to the Canon G7x mkII camera! It can only make Bluetooth connection to the Zhiyun M2.
I wonder why Amazon doesn't include Canon G7x mkII on the compatible cameras list???
(Canon M5 M6 M100, PowerShot G3 X, PowerShot G7 X Mark II, PowerShot G9 X Mark II Can be mounted on Crane M2, but Control Function are not supported.)

Hello there. Fujifilm is not on the compatibility list. however, some users use Fujifilm machines. Have you tried it with x-t2? I have Fujifilm x-t2. unfortunately i can't try. do you think it will work?

I’ve been testing the gimble-awesome hardware--embarrassing app. It’s main function seems to be information gathering. I deleted it after less than a day. If you go the App Store you’ll find a whole host of 💔 broken hearts. If the gimbal weren’t so good on its own I’d send it packing as well. So if your hope was to have some sort of remote control than check elsewhere or check the App Store periodically to see if they actually have moved from “embarrassment” to “useable.”
After a bit of practice, I found that if I use the same camera all the time (in this case a Lumix LX100), and leave the quick release plate on the Zhiyun, I can simply attach the camera to it, and leave all the axis points where they originally were when first balanced, and only have to adjust the tilt axis a bit. Of course, the camera has to be turned on with the lens out to get the correct balance. I'll then leave the camera attached to the Zhiyun, and can even turn it off with the lens retracted and not have to adjust any axis points or anything for the whole day I'm shooting, whether I turn the camera and/or the Zhiyun, on or off, so long as the thumb screw attached between the camera and quick release plate is good and tight, keeping it in place where it was initially balanced.. When you turn the camera on, it will just dangle, if the Zhiyun is off too. But turn the Zhiyun on, then it straightens out. Did this almost every day when visiting London, England for two and a half weeks recently, and only had to attach and adjust the tilt axis the next day when I put the camera back on, and even then, I only took the camera off in order to change an SD card, or charge the Lumix battery.
For this particular setup (leaving the camera on the Zhiyun, turning it on and off, etc., and not having to adjust any axis points or reattach anything all day), I carried it around in a soft case, deep enough to contain the camera with Zhiyun attached at an angle. It was a breeze!
I have an odd issue with my crane M2 - after not using it for a few months, I had issues starting it up and the battery light stays on. Luck would have it there is no youtube on my issue and as it is out of warranty I contacted Zhiyun sales in Australia. They gave me a support email that actually went to a support centre in Hong Kong. I was told that there is no service centre in Australia and I would have to pay for sending it to them in HK as well as roughly $80 AUD to get them to look at it and warning that this Gimbal was no longer supported and if they could fix it it would also be the parts but I am looking at a big outlay initially just to have it looked at overseas and then no guarantee. So moral of the story is whatever you buy - check if they have a local service centre as I now feel my best option is to just forget about fixing this gimbal but I will not be buying another Zhiyun as I feel this is a poor setup and it is not as if Australia is a tiny island with a few thousand people - you would think that they could have made some arrangement with some service centres over here. Maybe its a different setup for Europe/UK/US but in Australia there out of warranty service is non existent and I won't be spending another dollar having now a piece of junk that I can't even get looked at locally.

A feature of this gimbal and app that I haven’t seen highlighted, and that I can’t do with any of my other gimbals or cameras (other than the DJI Osmo Pocket), is you can use the back camera to not only film yourself, but to select and auto-track yourself directly. With all the other gimbals, if you want to film and track yourself, you have to first mount your phone on top of your camera, hold a prop of some sort (like a hat) in front of your camera and phone, draw a box around this prop on your phone’s screen, then, while holding the prop still, slide yourself into frame, and put the prop on your body. Really, really cumbersome. With the Zhiyun Play app and a cell phone, just hit the back camera icon, draw a box around yourself, and you’re good to go.

Hello ! I have crane m2 and Sony 100 rx iv camera. Alrhough i manage to connect my crane to the wi fi it cannot recognise the camera. That means that i cannot use the zoom function and the start/stop video!!! Please tell me how i solve this great problem!

Hi, I just got the Crane M2 and I'm having a tough time getting it to discover my Canon G7x ii. I'm using the ZY app to connect the 2 for the initial setup. The app discovers the Canon and I enter the password from the G7x ii to the ZY app - but then it mis-identifies the camera brand and the two are not connected. Were you able to use the ZY app to connect? Can you utilize the zoom and record buttons on the Crane M2 to control your G7x ii? Any advice would be awesome. Thank you.

The triple click to selfie mode isn't working for me...it shows a lock icon on the LED screen and makes a loud beeping sound. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a Canon G7X Mark II which can be mounted, I know it isn't compatible with app (not needed) also, the record button on the handle isn't compatible. Many reviews said joystick and modes on the handle work just fine but for some reason I'm having a hard time getting the trigger to respond. Please help.

The joystick is not secured, fell off severalt times during mounting and testing the first day. Now I have lost it and I cannot control the gimbal. Where can I buy a new one? I searched on ebay and amazon, but have not found any.
I'm having real trouble getting my camera ( Sony ZV - 1 ) to recognise the gimbal . During wifi connection, my camera connection comes up on the ZY App on my phone to connect to the gimbal,but when I select to to QR scan to link up with the Gimbal,it comes up as a FAIL and when i try to connect with password,it says the same thing. Tried to do this a dozen times. what am i doing wrong please.???

My camera won't connect to the gimbal. I tried both via the app and smartphone and the gimbal directly. The camera is a Canon SX730HS.
Only thing I am currently struggling with is the tracking feature. I hit the tracking icon on the phone, put the object in the square but then it just fades off away from the object? Not sure what im doing wrong

Do you mean the M button? That's the mode button, press to switch different modes.
Received mine today, but the ZY Play App doesn't have the Crane m2 among the list of gimbals to use or connect. Cannot use it because of this. Very disappointed for this!
Great tutorial but it just doesn't work. I'm trying to connect to the sony zv1 and it simply doesn't work. The firmware update file isn't supported, the instructions with the gimbal are worthless and I'm 3 hours in wasted on something that should be as simple as what you just showed us...HELP!

The Zy Play app can’t find Crane M2
I have the Crane M2 and the iPhone 11 Pro. Zy Play app can’t find the Crane M2, it’s not even in list of Gimbals. I can see Smooth Q and other gimbals but not the Crane M2. I managed to connect manually by scanning the QR Code on the device, but I have to do it every time. It won’t remember or auto connect to it.
