    Many thanks for posting this. Just got the M2S and have seen tons of reviews, one attempt at a setup tutorial (which was more focused on a GoPro) and even reached out to Zhiyun for help. This made the most sense I finally was able to get mine balanced. Cheers!

    The grey Switch for the 2nd axis part on your M2S is different than mines. I can’t tighten it because the body of my Sony A6400 is in the way. In your video, you turned the grey switch down and to the side to tighten and on mines it faces up and to the side which bumps into the body of my camera.. I don’t know if I’m making sense but I don’t know what I can do, can anyone help?

      Yes, but when I do the double click on the trigger button it's tilt back again. :( I made the six side calibration again, and now it's tilt to the right. So have to repeat again till it will level. Annoying a little bit.

      @@markwiemels I just had to repeat the six side method few more times with the Crane m2s till it level finally. ( actually it's a bit hard to understand what to do and how to pose the gymbal based on the official guide). Also I can mount my old Canon 60D camera, and with a small counter weight on the right side, the gymbal can operate with it very well with a 50 mm lens, and even with the bigger kit lens - which has a 988 gramms full weight with the camera. (Maximum payload is 1000 gramms.) The only problematic mode with the 60D is the vortex and the portrait mode. But It's not a deal breaker for me at all. Everything else works just fine. Of course it also works perfect with a Xiaomi 11T Pro!
      Thanks again your answer!

    Thanks Mark! Do you think this is a better travel option than the original Zhiyun Crane v2 (not Crane 2, just the v2)? I just want something lightweight, quick to setup, easy to stash away and that I can get my camera out of the gimbal setup quickly. My camera setup is going to be Fuji XT3 + 23 or 35 mm f/2 primes, or GH5 + 12-35 2.8 or 25 mm and maybe the Rode Wireless Go II mounted on top of either cam (as well as some kind of ND filter if needed)

    So I just purchased this gimbal. I have a Sony zv e10 and I’m using a Sony 10-18 mm f4 lens. I was able to get it balanced, but once connected to the plate and attached to the gimbal it’s not level. So it’s obviously a little crooked and it doesn’t seem to correct once the gimbal is unlocked and on! Anyway to fix this? Is my setup too heavy?

    • @markwiemels

      You need to balance with everything on, lens cap off. If it doesn't balance, it wont work well.

    I'm thinking of a quick release plate placed on top of the gimbal's quick release plate to be totally "quick release" without blocking battery door and be compatible with other gears (eg. Peak Design Camera Clip, Ulanzi Falcam) - I know it will be harder to balance initially, but will that work?

    • @markwiemels
      @markwiemels  2 роки тому +1

      You really have to try it, to find out. It works fine with bigger gimbals, with smaller ones there can be issues with space, as it makes the over all camera package taller. You won't know until you try.

    Damn… i just can’t figure this out. I’m pretty sure i have the first two things balanced, but i can not seem to get the last one to do what your showing in the video. Literally tried adjusting it a fraction at a time. But it never gets balanced, and when i turn the gimbal on, the motors freak out and vibrate a ton like it’s about to power off.
    I’m trying to use it with a GoPro Hero 9 [with media mod]. Is it possible i need to add some more weight to it or something? Because I know that when i tried doing it with a mic on top, it just wouldn’t work because it was too top heavy
