Man, i know the community go hard on CR sometimes, but seeing him holding the tears like that. It shows that inside the feature maniac he is, we still got the humble guy with the dream of making the most insane game ever created. I hope Star Citizen turns out to be a huge success outside its own community, not cause of the money we spent (lol) but to see this man dream turn into reality.
Agreed; we can debate decisions he and CIG have made, argue over direction, etc, but I've watched him speak a lot of times and I've never doubted he feels genuine passion for this project and truly wants it to succeed.

Yes it was a great community, but since it became political correct, now its mixed with nonsense, sorry to say so. A united community dont need trash, dont need the whole new agenda since past 2 years. Its a game, we all respect all kind of people, we are all the same, but they decided to push something ugly into us, the majority and if you dont want to be a part of that thing, you are done. This is the best examle how to divide people. But o.k. when i relized it, i just leave and i am not the part of the infiltrated community.

Those were a good two days, staying up late to watch all the panels, etc. Thank you to all the staff at CIG and everyone making this possible!
Was glad to make this my first Citizencon!! WHAT A SHOW it was!! Got to meet a lot of really nice folks including Jarod and Chris and Sandi and Will and Mark and John. Made some new friends and it was just a hoot all around.
CitizenCon was executed flawlessly, and was such a fantastic experience. Surpassed my expectations by miles. Well done to everyone involved! The future for SC has never seemed so bright or exciting!
Thanks for the great Citcon and behind the scenes video. I can't wait for attanding a Citcon in person, didn't feel like a minute of my time was wasted. And congrats to all the devs for their presentations. They were great, especially since it was devs which were presenting their work to so many people on stage, which isn't really a common thing to do as a dev. I could really fell the passion in a lot of presentations

Crazy how much went into CitCon this year. Great job to all the techs and behind the scenes teams who make it happen so seamlessly. Also proud of the ATMO team's first in-person tournament event!

Was so happy to have been there, my Org had a great booth (ADI) and so did lots of others, the Community Area and Pyro sections were super well done with awesome atmosphere, many of the game designers all came on the floor in various moments to chat with the backers in person, just walking around I ran into many of them and they were each all super happy to discuss their parts of the project right there in the crowd amidst signing autographs, and then seeing Chris (and later shaking his hand and getting a selfie, yay!) react with such emotion at the end of this very successful CitizenCon was all fantastic to experience!
I'm so proud of every single one of you, you worked hard to bring us the best Citizencon we ever had. Just include Atmo Esport into the main stream next year.

This citizencon was the best ever, and for good reasons. Just BONE would have been enough another year to make it great, this year it kept getting greater, our jaws kept dropping.
Despite all the frustrations & bumps in the road for Star Citizen, it's great to see so many moments underlining how much passion & graft there is behind this behemoth project.
Fair play to everyone involved, CitCon looked to be a success in just about every way one could hope for. Great panels & big props to all the people giving their first public presentations, everyone did great. No doubt there's a lot of hard work left to do, but it's exciting seeing how far they have come.
Great BTS view, shows all the guys working "at the backend" of an event like CitizenCon. Thanks to all of them, making the Con possible!
Contentwise, I honestly missed Paul with his demonstration of the (in words: "THE") milestone concerning server meshing. That was one of the highlights this year, if not the most important one.
But I don't mean it in a bad way, just want to emphasize the work there again. - "I rise. I take. I ascend."

Wait, that's Baior? Mike Smith? It's fine if I'm mistaken but it wouldn't surprise me if he worked for CIG since I last checked in 5 or 6 years ago. Absolutely awesome pilot and murderer Baior was super early on.
You guise really earned it. From the internet, hearts for the monstrosity of effort you stack and stack. You convinced me to chomp at the bit and eat that horse. God speed bringing all that to the PU. When that happens I can say that I played a game twice in tears.

Thanks for putting on a great show! I genuinely started crying a bit when you guys showed of SQ42 after teasing us for so long during the event. I've been following you guys since 2014 and can't wait to see the final product. Hold the line!
I was supposed to be there but my wife is Ill, and I could tell from the stream how well this was produced. This was a massive undertaking. I felt the same way I felt with 2016. I was literally only expecting excuses this year. However, I hope to be wrong all of next year as well. Well done CIG!
The amount of work put in by these people to make this event possible is staggering.
Shoutout to all the CIG staff and all the volunteers that made it such a great experience for those that were lucky enough to be there.
A lot of effort but well worth it, reignited my passion for SC even though I could not be there in person. Thanks for all the work that went into this.
Got to shake John Crewe's hand. He rode on the same elevator at the moxy. It was an excellent opportunity to thank him, he is a cool guy! The devs are an awesome bunch, it was an incredible experience being at citizen con!

As someone who has put on gaming tournaments from small house weeklies to annual auditorium-sized events, I can appreciate the tedious and exhausting work it takes to put on a show. I can only imagine the amount of time and number of meetings it took to plan this.

As one of the early and larger backers, I have to admit the last few years have been extremely hard to get through. To the point, my backing really stopped at the level I had been backing after the 3.0 year... I am also known for voicing my concerns just as loudly as my praise... and I do not hold back nor am I anything close to politically correct. I call things as I see them and defend those when others don't like what I have to say. All that being said, I want to thank all of CIG/RSI devs and others who have put us on this path to the one and only game that truly will be a one of its kind experience. But most of all, I want to thank Chris Roberts. Not just for starting this dream so many of us had since the days of Wing Commander, but for staying the course. I also want to thank him for renewing my faith in him and this project, alleviating my huge concerns over what exactly and where exactly this project would go and end up as. I was close to walking away as many others I personally know, have already done.
Chris did EXACTLY what I needed to see. My respect for him has increased because what I have seen watching this years Citizen Con videos, is what we have been promised for so long. He nailed it and those of you at CIG that put together Citizen Con put together an event that did exactly what you needed to do because anything less this time around, would have not been enough. YOU ALL did it right, did it good and proved that while some of us have been loud, vocal and opinionated about our concern, you listened and heard us and you replied. And for that I thank ALL of you and Chris for doing exactly that which was needed so badly for the backers.
I look forward to 2024 and the promise that every thing we saw in the Citizen Con presentation will be in our hands in 2024 (barring major malfunction of course) and again fully supporting the project as I used to do before 3.0. (for me, 3.0 was where I became concerned literally about what was going on... as of this Citizen Con, my full support is renewed)
Thank you again CIG/RSI, all those involved in building this project and Chris Roberts. The dream is alive.
One final request. PLEASE add an option for the USA for standard measurements for temps, distances, quantities, math etc. While younger generations might be getting more education in schools about metric, you have a HUGE percentage of us out here who DO NOT know metric at all; nor are many prone to learning it at this stage of their lives. Nearly every single huge simulation I play and support, has an option to give us that ability. While some detractors for some reason seem to want to argue against that for their own petty purposes, you have a LARGE backer population that does not use metric (think of this like languages.. would you want just ONE language and only one language in the game even if you can't read or speak it?) and never will and many of our own children never will either being in many states, it is not taught in school. In a fight, trying to convert numbers in ones head is not feasible. It is a simple request and so I hope someone at CIG will add this function to options so the rest of us can switch to the measurements system we understand and use every single day. Thanks..

Best wishes again to Zyloh. Unpopular opinion but that's one of the reasons why (from a professional point of view, I won't deny that it was an absolute blast from the player side) I dislike conventions and fairs now that the technical means exist to organize and attend great events online: the physical and mental impact on the exhibitors of physical events is sometimes just too high.
I saw myself in there like 4 or 5 times LOL. Was an amazing Convention! Thank you CIG!

The event was just amazing 👏 but, what I really want, is to see it first hand. Put the UI updates in the PU the new looting systems, the fright elevator, all the stuff promised, and fix the massive amounts of 30ks and optimization issues. The hype is real and iv definitely backed a lot of money now I'm excited to see it delivered. Back up what was preached. 😊 I'm excited to play. Thank you all for what you do.

It was an impressive event and it certainly drove up the hype.
Then you log into the game. The tram glitches as you get to the starport. You go to spawn your shiny new A1, and it spawns outside the hangar and falls to the ground. So you recall another ship, get it out of atmosphere and the guns won't load/fire. So you try to land and it won't give you a hangar. You finally find a place to land and the server 30k's.
Yeah. I don't really care what new ships/tech/missions/features they add to the game when it still plays like this.
This is great to see, love getting these BTS type stuff. Especially given you rarely see this for conventions.
Also this music playing in the background I now want to hear proper. So good.
For all the staff at CIG and especially the developers thank you❤❤❤! Especially for not loosing all my stuff for 30k's. That's a big life improvement for lonely miners in the verse.
