a grey box unfinished ship has no interior, without redoing it all in blender with a ton of assets from some store, or an unmentionable game that failed its players long ago,
8 months later… Med Ursa is here, cargo gameplay almost here. Polaris almost here (I assume to see the Galaxy soon after). Your video’s keep me going at this point. I have had these ships sitting in my hangar for so long and I can’t wait to get my hands on them
I'm quite excited to have the Galaxy someday, and this series you've made is really incredible for getting a better sense of the ship. Please keep making these! This is really valuable content in my opinion and I really appreciate how much hard work this must've taken to put together.
These videos with your explanations actually made the Galaxy look a lot better as an all around ship. Now I don't feel like I'm losing that much by selecting the medical module, and that it's more of a necessity if I intend to use this as a general exploration/expedition ship.
The medical Ursa rumor stems from the CitCon shadow reveals of the upcoming ships. An Ursa was shown in there and the medical role makes the most sense for it.
it also had been in promo material before in some art was an ursa with the cross on the side, astro historian used it in one of his videos on UEE structure but we have it now so :p
There is an ursa variant shown in the silhouette vehichle segment during citcon, which is why it is speculated to be the long asked for ambulance model.
This is such a great video, and in combination with the first one, I absolutely love that you are doing this. The only thing that I can hopefully add is that I believe the doors open outward. From the promotional material (specifically the brochure page, not the normal ship sales page) on image 5 of 11 (the one with a pisces flying out the back) you can see the door opened down like the door on the bed of a pickup truck. It does not look big enough to be the whole door though, and if I recall the ship model of it, there is a seam in the back door running from the middle side to the middle side. This would indicate that the door opens in 2 halves and that the top half folds up and out, while the bottom half folds down and out. Similar to how the back door on a C2 folds down and out.
As someone who's been excited for concept ships for 10 years now, I deeply appreciate the effort that went into this and the previous videos. It's not my first big ship, but the Galaxy is the first big ship I've felt a clear-eyed sense of excitement over, and these videos are giving me a "First Look" a year early. The collected incorporation of your own feedback, as well as highlighting layout issues with the medical trolleys, is an added bonus. I'm hoping CIG's own white- and greybox process fixes most of them, and fingers crossed incorporates some of the Apollo's tech like the medical drones.
I think the Medical Ursa rumors stem from the Ursa silhouette shown at CitizenCon with all the upcoming ships/vehicles. Also, if you want to create any new/unannounced modules, I'd love to see a combat module. I know, I know, not every ship needs to be combat oriented. I just thought it would be awesome to have a module that gives the Galaxy one of the Perseus' size 7 ballistic turrets and maybe an extra shield and armory.
Great work, as always. They have already confirmed that the Galaxy is being worked on along with the Polaris & Perseus. The Apollo will need more time because of the Shepard Medi-lift drones that are the key feature of that ship.
Im hopefully they release a military support module as well, like a nail or mech(titan) drop module as well. I dont think it would be too outside of it's "support" focus that it seems to have
Found this video just now and it's exactly what I was looking for. Very impressive work, it really does help get a feel for how this ship might be when it's done!
Great video and awesome job building the Galaxy in such detail. Regarding the hangar doors I think the most likely solution would be that the doors fold outwards like a ramp since nothing else will fit.
I hope you are right about that but my guess is they won't turn into a ramp because they don't want it to be able to load large vehicles like tanks even if there is no real reason not to besides selling bigger ships.
I believe in a q&a they said no rear ramp for galaxy because of pad or hangar restrictions at that time....possibly will change. My guess is they may be like an accordion door
So happy you chose to make another 3 videos ! I love the Galaxy, and the way you present it ! This ship will be the heart of my fleet, and by seing the numer of likes, i'm not the only one !
White walls, black floor, bright white lights the entire ambience is perfect. I wish CIG would follow that theme for this ship but knowing them it'll be grey and some weird accent color like a dark blue, low dim light. This gets my hopes up maybe they'll see this video and get inspired by the colors used
The medical module is really cool, although it might be overkill for the majority of players. I feel like they could release a hybrid module where it gives you a T2 med bay and some cargo or exploration capabilities. This would bring it in line with how CIG labeled it as a great multirole ship
Cargo module should be a whole elevator! There needs to be something other than the Lib and the Herc to carry Novas and Spartans! Also love the vids, keep up the good work!
Again great work nice to see how the Galaxy's int could be, owning this ship just because it will have the medical variant so we can continue our rescue OP. Thanks for answering my question in the vid:)

So I guess ships can be whiteboxed a lot quicker than CIG do :') I can't believe the amount of work you've put into this video! Well-deserved subscribe!
Really impressed with your work .TY . Just an idea : If they removed the wall between the module area and the hanger area for the base building version of the ship we could make the large base units and lower them to the ground .
Very nice work :) I saw it was already mentioned that the hangar could open outward, like it does on many other smaller ships that wont fit the actual doors :) And the Ursa Medivac is now actually a thing! And lastly the modules could have their own power and modules, since the system requirements could differ alot in terms of power and cpus depending on which module you put on the ship, it is asking alot to have the Base ship being able to provide the power needed for No Module and the Processing module (Which i would guess used the most power ot of the 3),so the module having its own power etc could make sense? :)
@@ace_tristPWN I dont remember, but it would make sense, i have a vague feeling they have mentioned modules affecting the ship when it comes to specs like weight and how it flies etc, cant remember if they actually mentioned power and stuff too, should be mentioned in some Q&A videos or showcase videos of some modular ship, but the Galaxy feels like the biggest variation of modules of the recent ships so if i would go looking i would go through that material, but im sure you have done that already :) I am very sure they have said that the Command Module for the Caterpillar will need to have its own modules since its a detatchable part of the ship. With our org we focus heavily on aid and exploration, and our current oldest ship, the UFS Hope NC-1001 is a cutty red focusing mainly on Medical, and it will eventually be replaced with the 1001 A when the apollo comes out, but the idea of the Galaxy being another legacy ship of it later down the line is such a cool idea to me
you can see in a lot of component storage designs that the doors hinge outward, then pull into the hull/supporting structure, im betting this might be a viable option for the galaxy hangar door
I don't know if you're working on the Spirit E-1 interior, which I'd love to see, especially since CIG is completely ignoring that ship while releasing both of the other variants. But what I'd REALLY love to see, and would even be willing to pay to see, is the RSI Polaris. I've really fallen in love with this ship over the past few months. It was a mild interest until they had the ISC 'Following the North Star' episode where they showed off the remastered concept interior. As much as I love the Galaxy, I could actually see the Polaris becoming more of my daily driver. She's quite the ship. You did an AMAZING job with your videos on the Galaxy & I am eternally thankful for that, especially since she's still about a year off, maybe more. Which has only made me more anxious for the Polaris.

I don't think they've announced or hinted at anything like this but I think this could be a great opportunity for CIG to introduce a medical snub ship for RSI and have it be around the same size as the Fury and with only enough space for a single pilot and a medical troly like bed to transport injured patients but not provide support until they reach the actual medical ship such as the galaxy.
It should have a back hanger door that lowers 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal, then it lowers like an elevator to the ground, just like a tail-lift you find IRL on the back of heavy-goods vehicles
Awesome work. I love seeing this in 3d. The thing about the Galaxy that really worries me is its lack of defense. One large shield on a ship that massive turns it into a giant loot balloon ready to be popped. Since it will be a core component of any fleet in any configuration, it will need some massive escort defense which just isnt going to happen for most orgs. People need to sleep and want do do other things besides guard someone elses ship 24/7. I have a bad feeling that the Galaxy will be regulated to a hangar decoration most of the time. I really hope that they make up its defenses in other areas like heavy armor.
Right - the armour plating looks really thick compared to, say, a constellation. I think that is not really something considered in the current damage model, but hopefully it will!
great Video man. At citcon they showed a gound vehicle that suppose to be made in the next 12 months it looks like an ursa so alot of us our assuming its the medical ursa.
About medical Ursa Rumor Origin. There was one leak where the name "Ursa Red" was found in the gamefiles and then there was the Ursa image in the CitCon Vehicle teaser part.
I'm enjoying the series. melted a few ships to pledge for this one, hoping to hear from CIG when it is planned to release! I wondered if the hanger door would "roll" up and run horizontally with the hanger ceiling, an up and over maneuver?
Just re-watching and thinking that those pod-like structures at 7:47 and 8:55 look about the right size for suit lockers. Bio-hazard suits confirmed? 😆
Where does the back hangar door retract into? There doesn't seem to be enough room. It should swing open outwards, that would even create a small ramp for vehicles to drive off of, when exiting the ship while landed. That would be the best option, IMHO. Another option would be a rolling door, like a roll-top desk.
@@sterlingdennett I think someone confirmed its a folding door, like on a caterpillar. Can't use it as a ramp though, that hangar is very high above the ground.

Have a look the first part - that is what I did there. According to the blueprints no module would give you the same space, just without cargo grids, elevators, tractor beams and so one - but still the commando room, that seems to be part of the main ship.
Maybe the rear doors will open by swing out like a ramp, instead of sliding up and down. Would also allow for driving vehicles up inside from the ground.
There was a medical ursa found in the game files in the last few weeks and at last years citizencon they teased another ursa model it's just been rumored that it was a medical one.
Begeisterung pur!!! I'm so exited about your work :D and you give me some hope that i will not regret my most expensive decision in SC.... About the Hangar-Doors: Mybe they wont slide one Part up, one down... Look at the Spirit... Maybe they slide one part left and right and divide the upper in two sections that top of each other and the lower may be three parts... Just an Idea :) The "useless" Room beside the Controll-Room could be an internal Elevator?
Really! CIG should hire you! Your videos help me wait for this ship! It's kind of easy to imagine gameplay with all of that! Looking foward to the next video! 😉👍🏾
to be fair the apollo can land in the poalris super tight fit and might need to remove the antennas (turn of shield and shot em off) .. so far superior tot eh galaxy since the size is just silly for that few beds.. and the module cost more then teh endeavor hospital module is just insane. only really interesting module for galaxy is the construction one.
I'm pretty sure the med ursa is just speculation from several content creators that started because OF the galaxy's med module's lift. That said there was a road map round up that mentioned a team working on a bed in a vehicle as well as the ursa in the citcon teaser segment that they use to as evidence that they are right in their prediction but to my knowledge there has not been a true 'leak' of a med ursa.
The rear hangar doors actually fold out and up/down from the image I remember. As in flat in relation to the floor and ceiling. They MAY partly or fully retract under the floor/ above the ceiling?
This ship being a long distance ship should allow us to electromag another ship to the top. They give us the XS Hangar but if we wanted to bring say the Zeus with us there is no way to fly back and forth. But if they allowed the Zeus to attach to the top. Maybe even some way for the two ships to connect so that the turrets on the Zeus become activated and useable while attached, even better.
Interesting concept - the zeus kinda looks like it could just be a part of this one. But this is not a feature that was ever promised, or was ist? Basically that's what quantum linking does, just that you need 2 people for it.

Have a look the first part - that is what I did there. According to the blueprints no module would give you the same space, just without cargo grids, elevators, tractor beams and so one - but still the commando room, that seems to be part of the main ship.
Luckily with how tall the hanger is, it could probably fit an arrow which would be a great support option.
Looks really solid.
Luv your work. Will you do an Arrastra also?
I am thinking about it, but there are a few other ones higher up on the list.
Maybe the rear doors will open by swing out like a ramp, instead of sliding up and down. Would also allow for driving vehicles up inside from the ground.
It's officialy confirmed that there is no access for vehicles from the rear entrance, I think its in the FaQ!
@@ace_tristPWN Okay, maybe not swing all the way down to the ground but 90 degrees like the tail gate lift of a box truck.
I really hope the increase the visual size of the engines to look similar to the arrastras.
I heard of the medical URSA too: someone was pointing at its release during Invictus 2024
Show us the Anvil Liberator please!
There was a medical ursa found in the game files in the last few weeks and at last years citizencon they teased another ursa model it's just been rumored that it was a medical one.
And now the Nursa was released for ILW 2954
nice video thanks for the efforts.
Jesus Christ just hire this man maybe we can have the game within 10 years.
Just an Idea :)
The "useless" Room beside the Controll-Room could be an internal Elevator?
So nah am großen Lift noch ein kleiner?
Really! CIG should hire you! Your videos help me wait for this ship! It's kind of easy to imagine gameplay with all of that! Looking foward to the next video! 😉👍🏾
He sure does sound like Thorston
I can confirm I am not
to be fair the apollo can land in the poalris super tight fit and might need to remove the antennas (turn of shield and shot em off) .. so far superior tot eh galaxy since the size is just silly for that few beds.. and the module cost more then teh endeavor hospital module is just insane. only really interesting module for galaxy is the construction one.
Amazing work!
The hangar doors could split in half and open outward
Man I'd love to see a banu mechantman done by you, that'd be so cool.
That would take 10000 years, but I must say, I am intrigued
This basically looks how the Apollo would look but a smaller version
Awesome work 🚀
Might be a clamshell style bay door
Galaxy seems pretty large for the “little” amount of beds actually
Agree, kilometres of corridors.
I love your work, keep it going. With your skills you can work at a game in between Star Citizen and Star Atlas, what star citizen s missing and I like at Star Atlas is the marketplace. it would be nice if players own there items and sell it or buy it whenever they want.
You completely overlooked the possibility these doors just fold. Like Ursa back door would
Sorry, which doors in particular? The big hangar doors? They might fold, but it looked different to me - my mistake.
@@ace_tristPWN I meant to say, you overlooked the possibility that they could fold (like Ursa). This way, doors could open/close without constraints (left/right, top/bottom), said constraints you showed would put doors in ship geo
