None of them are good hosts, they're literally having these discussions about a game that will never be completed. Star citizen is boring empty trash and it'll be old news soon.

It's downright incredible the amount of joy and passion you bring to your role in CIG and I'm really glad they pulled in the one and only Disco Lando. I have such respect for what you bring to this massive project.

exactly. CiG learned their lessons, and this year's citizencon was almost entirely show, don't tell. seeing actual demonstrations of these features and tech is incredibly reassuring.
The only question from me is: WHEN. It looks amazing and you guys did a wonderful job, but I need it now so bad
And in this project the only answer you're gonna get is: "When it's ready."
And that's a good thing.
There is only one answer : not very soon. Probably in the next 36 months. Keep it real lads and realistic. 48 months are more probable, but that's a bit extreme.
New UI, Starmap and interactions cant come quick enough :)
Got to talk with these dedicated folks at the after party. They are all super smart and tip of the spear in their fields. Very humble and nice people as well. I can't wait to see their final products in game!

That has to be one of the most calm, straight forward endings of any video you have done Jared. Nothing wrong with that at all. So used to antics or follow ons, so to see you just close short and smooth like that, kinda nice!

Yeah important to keep the cool, and don't buy the next fancy ship, while there are old half baked ones... I wish the improves to come fast but I'm not holding my breath for the next 12+ months
37:42 as a SRV owner, this was the thing I wanted to know most. Because if they can also tie service beacon missions to that, you can have yourself a towing career :)
I really hope at some point we can get a beacon for a destroyed ship, tow it to port, fix it and sell it. That would be such a satisfying game loop!

Life keeps pitching challenges and you keep knocking 'em out of the park. Incredible work owning and commanding the show through the technical issues, hats off - it's snatching victory from the jaws of defeat like this which makes nothing something and the half of the show without the tech was just as good as the half with it and now we get to look forward to that original half in future.
of all the things they announced at citizen con, the new starmap and UI is what I am most hyped about (moreso than server meshing).
Cant wait to see this stuff in game.

You know what is really cool? If you’re without a helmet and running on a planet with no atmo or Eva in space. You can use a medpen to keep yourself alive. Just like that one chick did in The Expanse did when she got spaced.
We really missed out on this panel being called "The Bone Zone".

Re: coming in over a year -- guys, go for it. "its done when its done," let the haters hate, they will be the first to pick up SQ42 when it goes "on sale" (after retail launch - long after) when I hear "polish phase ... then optimization phase" I hear 2+ years.
O7 to all the devs and all the backers helping to make both of these games possible.
here's hoping that we get a lot of the features showcased at Citizencon, now and through the end of next year to deepen and broaden the Star Citizen experience. i am really looking forward to the updated UI and Engineering gameplay. though if we could get the Ranger bikes, roads and updated rivers with waterfalls, bridges and tunnels, with portable bed to bed log and repairing gameplay, i would be content until 4.0.

I know Jared is always joking about it , but I think it’s the least that he gets some type of cameo inside the PU .. we will not have isc or scl forever but for many of us Jared is the voice of SC , the one who gives us all the information and to manage our expectations.
They should totally make Jared an NPC at like the junkyard lmao. That'd be awesome.

Citcon was amazing! Watched it Live on twitch with CobraTV and the Cobros
exploration gameplay looking like it'll be rewarding to get risky with unique locales, caves and far reaches of space. Get those data points and sell or keep to yourself and your crew. Sounds nice!
