what about side wall exhaust ? i am a plumber we did alot of heating in nys . i also have a little restaurant i want to relocate . i have 15ft high kitchen nothing above it but snow . im on a outside wall wide open area . it would be a easy clean straight out just like it was do you think itl pass ? ny is a funny state sometimes not a word sometimes i catch a stickler . ny is not very restaurant friendly at the moment with covid they would just soon see everyone quit . i like your work nice and neat .
All depends on your local code. Here we can if your not close to other property and the fan is ten feet in the air Duct has to have a min one inch slope per ft.
Yes you exhaust fan is pulling air from the drains. Start by balancing your range hood fans, exhaust and MUA. Should stop and lower your AC bill. I'd start with lowering exhaust a bit. Email me and I can call you to go into more detail. specialtymetalworks@gmail.com
SV TICKLEMEFINN Im installing a 8 ft hood . But grease duct is running between combustible wood which is 16.5 “ wide. So I should install a 12”x12” duct with 3M Fire Barrier wrap. Are should I remove the combustible wood and replace it with metal C channel? The duct is only 10ft straight up to roof. Suggestions ? I do appreciate.
Timothy I would cut it all away and replace with wood to support the curb and roof. Pending on the code in your area. In Duval county we have to double wrap the duct. Or 22 GA one inch panels with rock wool. That reduces the clearance to three inches. If you have a heavy cooking load I'd up the duct some, better safe than sorry. Easy to slow down a fan, hard to make exhaust duct larger. Captive Aire makes zero clearance duct a bit pricey. Hope this helps.
If we did ductwork installation in this way we be shot here in Australia , it’s very unprofessional way doing a job and very dangerous, these guys have no idea, Lol wearing sneakers and tracksuits on site work
Why wouldn't you get the lift from inside and do that I don't understand specially if it's new construction I can see if it wasn't new construction but if it's new construction I would have pulled around to the front and roped off a space where you could have got the lift out and boom do that s*** up on the roof seraphine Road in that this s*** take too long

Timothy it depends on hood size and cooking equipment. Never under 12x12 I think that was 16x16.

I think you made this video just to show old "Snarl" how real men work. Take notes "Snarl" . There will be a test one day soon.
