How did you weld it ?

Love to know how you weld it so well. I've tried joining counter top but the end result does not come out well. It warp.

That’s a snubber, not a bridle… a bridle consist of two lines..

This hitch really does work. However I have found leading the rope back through the fairlead to the cleat, negates any risk of chafing. My own saying is "the lower the knot, the less the snatch". It's the snatch action that will break out the anchor. I have ridden out 3 days in 6m depth and 30/40 knots of wind (in the Mediterranean) using a 35lb SQR anchor. I have this bike and it is always fun to ride. That bike is a 1996 for certain. At the time it was a $700 bike brand new and I think it is so comfortable to ride I love chromoly frames. Im 6 feet tall and the bike is way too small for me but I love the relaxed feel. Great score guys hope it’s years of enjoyment

Why wouldn't you get the lift from inside and do that I don't understand specially if it's new construction I can see if it wasn't new construction but if it's new construction I would have pulled around to the front and roped off a space where you could have got the lift out and boom do that s*** up on the roof seraphine Road in that this s*** take too long

As a stainless steel welder of 10 years, this is not how I finish these. I sheer the joint to be welded with the finished side down in the sheer. This puts a slight burr upward toward the #4 side. Then using aluminum chill bars and custom made long ass vise grip clamps, I clamp a chill bar on bottom bridging the joint, and one on either side of the top. Fuse tack the top, then back, then fuse weld back, then fuse weld the front. This is the very short version. There's way more to it. I don't use those abrasives either. I use 120 grit orange 3m disks for cutting down weld, then scotch Brite disks (maroon or medium grit) on a variable speed sander to remove 120 grit. Cooling with a wet rag after every pass. Then a big Grey "hair wheel" to add final grain. Best way that I've found to re-grain. Hope that helps!

If I'm ducting a commercial style stainless hood, am I able to use just regular carbon steel for the ducting or will those two react like I've heard happen with dissimilar metals?

Hey Andy, great work. I was wondering how you keep both panels from warping, I use aluminum backing to absorb some heat but I can never keep them as flat as that, I get a slight wave in the splice. Anyway any insight would be appreciated, thanks.
