CS Ventilation - Commercial kitchen exhaust system - TreMonte

Owner Dan Oboyle guides us through an installation of a commercial kitchen exhaust system at a restaurant called TreMonte. The previous exhaust system was 15 years old, the newer system is larger and has dual openings. Old exhaust systems cause bad air for the employees and the patrons. All permits are put in place, the heavy equipment, the list, the welding, the fire suppression system, and the new hood and duct work. Those guys in the kitchen have grease lung! Been choking on smoke a grease for years. Thank god they can enjoy the last few years cooking with less smoke 💨

Really good video and description of how it all works. I wish the kitchens ive worked in previously had the same efficiency. We had a Major draft because of the vent hoods. Good to know that can be avoided and should be avoided.

Is it better to dump the makeup outside the hood like yours is or is it better to dump the air into the hood like a Larkin I recently worked on? Your work does look very impressive btw.

@8492nd squadron leader $1000? Is that a joke? Please tell me I just got wooshed. I'm pretty sure just the control panel for their air handling system cost more than $1000. Hell, valves in CaptiveAire hoods can cost that!
They redid the entire ventilation and fire suppression system-it looks like a multiday project. If it cost $10,000, I'd be surprised. Probably more.
