You could start your OWN business as a consultant with the KNOWLEDGE you possess. 🎉😊. Thank you for an in-depth study you must have put in to design of a commercial kitchen and shared it on line. Wonderful service.
this video covers the basics . i like it. i wish more customers understood the need to listen to people with experience. just because they have an architect it does not mean the architect knows foodservice. the decisions you make at the beginning of a project will determine how many hurdles you will have to overcome to achieve success. investing on equipment does not get enough attention , looking for the low price seems to be the only thing that drives people. the cell phone makes everyone a shopping expert without the knowledge needed to determine the value of equipment. it's your dream!!! don't turn it into a nightmare because of poor choices.
I am in the food truck design. I've been pulled to help customers with restaurant and commercial kitchen design. This is the most excellent video on how to do things. Yes! I have to spend hours with the customers until the final design. Thank you for sharing this video.
I’m starting a new business & designing a kitchen from scratch right now. I hired an architect who said they had experience but then I met an architect who specializes in commercial kitchens. They glanced at my design & immediately listed glaring inefficiencies. Now I’m looking at videos like this and wow, this was spot on! Very helpful. I like how he organized the topics into the 6 areas. This video has helped to frame how I’ll move forward with thinking about my kitchen design. Thank you! @IndigoOnPurpose
I used to sell restaurant equipment. It always broke my heart to see an architect design a useless kitchen and then charge an arm and leg for it. They would bring the drawing to me and I would have to rework everything and would do it for free. I think they still needed some sort of drawing for permitting but it was always bass ackwards.
@@TheKillerBloody I started cold calling about 7-8 based on a internet search. After some back and forth email correspondence and phone conversations, about 5 of them came on site for a visit. After that on-site, they all sent me a contract/proposal. I compared all of them side by side then selected the architect that I thought best fit my needs.
Great Video, it definitely explains all the areas that are needed in a commercial kitchen. A follow up video could be - why certain equipment is next each other (combi ovens and tilt skillets are in good location to a blast chiller) and how to organize the layout so the chefs are not bumping into each other. (new subscriber, looking forward to your next video)
This is great information but I would like to see a video on designing a small commercial kitchen in your home and maybe turning it into a commissary/shared kitchen for rent.
