Thank you, I know quite a lot of pros are in a similar situation with the money side of things. Struggling to compete, so I thought I’d show what it’s like just trying to even make it to the tournaments and some creative ways to sustainably play on the tour. Don’t get me wrong I’m still in a really fortunate position being able to pursue something I love 💪
living in a london, this video has made me realise how fortunate i’m to be living here. definitely going to take advantage of all facilities london has to offer
It makes me realise how lucky I am here in Gijón in the north of Spain. Really good indoor courts with lights at 6.10€ an hour, outdoor clay courts 2.70€. City council facilities but really well maintained. Can't afford the 3000 euro entry fee it would cost to join the big tennis club here, but having one to one private lessons for 20€ an hour with a really decent coach. Needless to say, my level is much much lower than Sean (4.5 NTRP), but it keeps me in good shape for an amateur league and to hopefully enter a few federated tournaments this year.
Thank you Anthony 🙏 I hope you and Teca are well, I had such a good time with you both in Penarth, one of my favourite tournaments I’ve been too ❤️💪 hopefully see you both soon
Great video Sean Am wondering When you're doing a hit with client.. how to contro/adjust you're stroke(FH and BH) pace so it wont be too hard for them?
Great video. You play a bit like Lajovic. Tennis is such unforgiving sport and its great to see all aspects of it even before you get to competition. You ever thought about moving diagonally fwd into you're volleys rather than just fwd? - Or has this footwork been superseded in the pro game? Edberg was the best volleyer of all time and his footwork on the volley would be diagonally fwd. It builds in a natural shoulder turn and as a result the racket takeback can be far more compact and less 'just arm'. Be interesting to hear what you think. keep up the good work.
Thank you 🙏 my goal with the channel is to show what the reality is for a lot of tennis players on the lower end of professional tennis. Yeah definitely agree with that on the volley, I’ve been working a lot on the volley at the moment trying to do those things.
Love your channel, just subscribed and wish you all the best for your tennis journey! I'm curious as to how many calories you burn in a typical day like with so much time on court and in the gym?
Thank you 🙏 really appreciate it, I normally burn about 2/3 thousand calories per day so I eat quite a lot. I’ll do a full video on this next week 👍 Is there any other content you’d like to see?
Hey! Really wish the best for you mate! I used to train as a teen at Raynes park David loyds, I'm now playing D1 tennis at Princeton! Lots of love my man, ignore the no-lifes here in the comment section hating your success.

@@seanplaystenis Great channel showing your journey into pro tennis which I am sure will help junior players make the right decisions. I am struggling to find high level players at my club, I will definitely check out DL Raynes Park
Really interesting video Sean. Personal question but intrigued, is your main income from your clients/hitting partners? Do they pay you to just hit with them?
Thank you 🙏 at the minute yes my main income is through doing paid hitting sessions and odd bits of coaching. I work with a company called Aceify in London who find clients to hit with a pro, which is paid hitting sessions with a professional tennis player

@@chrischan3448 as a pro athlete I’m fortunate to have a complimentary membership. As I play for a David Lloyd clubs team. But I know it’s expensive, but the alternative to paying membership would be £20/£30 per hour for indoor courts elsewhere and gym membership on top
Won't be that much - more like £200 per month given that he's based in Yorkshire. If anything, it works out ALOT cheaper given that it includes gym, sauna, pool + indoor/outdoor tennis courts etc, and he can travel around the UK and use their various clubs without having to pay extra. Makes alot more sense than hiring individual courts each time.
@@chrischan3448 Nothing wrong with David Lloyd. If anything it makes alot more sense and saves money due to the range of faciilties it offers, particularly indoor courts during the UK winter, and being able to use the different clubs across the UK.
