It is so refreshing to see a reviewer actually talking about engines, suspension and things that..well actually matter in a car, rather than panel size and infotainment systems like most other channels.
Everyone was making review of this gorgeous beauty but Remove Before Race always make a review different and exciting from rest. Appreciate Remove Before Race love your channel from deepest of my heart
he has the best graphic, the best review, but I wish he emphasizes less on (0-60mph) performances, it is nice to know but.....who cares this days, in the US we would get huge ticket when going to fast
Nice review indeed, but he missed to mention that you need to connect/charge your phone with a cable. What's disappointing for the price. He also didn't mention how well all the security systems work. In some cars, all the ongoing warning sounds are annoying. Last but not least, doesn't have it a heads up display? 😊
I'm driving today a plug-in hybrid from BMW. I do 95% of the miles in city traffic. This new GLC plug-in hybrid might just be in 2-3 years my top pick for a second hand low mileage replacement for my current car.
That’s exactly what I want from a car! A good electric range but the ease of use with petrol. And who cares about 0-60? It’s an suv and 5.6 is fast enough for daily. Amg variants are we’re speed are important. That’s why I don’t see the point in Tesla. Their fast, really fast. But in any other category, Mercedes is better.
I bloody love this channel and watching from the beginning until now has been a joy to be a subscriber of the channel, this is my favourite car review channel and the way that he delves into the past and the full history explained. Yes there is other channel similar but know one does it this way.
Very nice new GLC, great review Raz. I must say, I found your commentary on the gearbox hilarious, it definitely doesn't shift like an AMG haha (lovely car otherwise).
The design is fantastic To be honest it doesn't look like something has done just done in the level it's needed No overdone and doing that is pretty remarkable thing 👏
Nice review. I’ve been loyal to BMW X’s, but the EV range in this might be the game changer unless BMW improves the range on theirs. Nice looking car no doubt.
Wow this is exactly what I need. Had a Tesla and the range anxiety really gets to you. Having a plug-in with 60+ miles of range is perfect. However the downfall is I live in the states and it seems like this PHEV version won’t make it to the states. 😢
2:14.. as an Asthma patient I highly doubt that such a simple 'carlighter-thing' can help negate my Asthma symptoms. Do you even know what Asthma does to my body?? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of your channel and I support you. But I think it's a bit dangerous of you to say such 'medical' stuf. Please make sure to fully understand a product before you recommend it on your channel as there might be viewers who take your 'sponsorship' as a serieus solution and run into medical problems later on. Just trying to avoid you getting weird claims from americans (you know how they are)
Great review!!! It is a gem but I still can't shake the feeling that I'd rather go full EV that partway. This is what a GLC EV should look like. Not the EQC design. Can you review a Tesla Model Y too?? Please!! 🙏 As these are competitors in the same SUV segment. I've driven the previous version the GLC300 and rented a Model Y for 2 weeks but would like your views on it too.
Based upon your review I’d say the GLE300e will be the pick of the range. With over 300hp it is fast enough and it is mainly a comfortable car. Big downside: with the current prices it might just be out of budget. We’ll have to await prices. I would go for the smaller wheels due to the added comfort. No offroad driving, but construction sites might prove the features useful.
I think I'm going to wait for this beauty. Sadly it seems there's no V2L which is a shame with such a class-leading huge PHEV 31KWh battery, but I'll cope with the 12V and USBs, etc...
I think genuine enthusiasts will be hanging on to their old GLC 43's and 63's which will be sort after in years to come. No real benefit having anything electric as energy prices keep skyrocketing with all this renewable BS!
The big barrier to entry with the new GLC imo is the price. In the Uk the 350de is 75K!! I know prices have been creeping up but surely that's an obscene amount of money for a mid size SUV?
Crazy but now 5% benefit in kind for company drivers and corporation tax about to be 25% so discounts the car cost by a quarter. Private buyers it’s insane
Not just rear lights. The older model looks better and cleaner overall. The issue with the car industry is that design has to change for the sake of change, even if it is not for better. Otherwise, sales fall.
If I get 10 shares of the Air for life thing it’ll be cheaper than buying the unit itself. I get shares that potentially could go up in value and I get a free unit
Interesting! Are these PHEVs coming to the US? I am a bit unclear on how the electric motor works. Does it only add power to the rear wheels? And the gas engine puts power to both? How is the front/rear weight distribution? Is there a PHEV version of the new 43 coming?
I used to drive the current glc 300e which has like 320 HP an 0-100 in 5.7 officially. Does someone know why the 380 hp glc 400e is only 0.1 second faster? Doesn’t make sense to me
More than 2.3 tons.......(2.355 kg to be precise....). Yes great to have a big battery but look at all that weight. So most of the time you're driving electric? With 136 hp on board you'll be left behind by most cars.......
43 is a less powerful version of the glc ( still very powerful ), the 63 version will be the top of the line model with the most power. 300e and 400e are the hybrid versions of it.
Great review. This is a perfect example of why some of Merc's decisions get me so frustrated- why can't this technology that's applied to the GLC, be applied to the GLS? Merc created the EQC, and now the GLC 400E. Why couldn't they try to electrify the current GLS, whether it be full electric or PHEV? The EQS SUV isn't really a substitute for the GLS because the 3rd row is cramped and there's very little boot space behind the 3rd row when in position. This strategy makes even less sense, when Range Rover has plans for a PHEV & full electric versions. And it's not like Merc will just drop the S-class interior into the GLS, which I also find frustrating
Thanks for the tip on the ‘air for life’ product; order placed! My daughter will commute to school in a healthier cabin I’m sure. (And no I’m not a bot paid for to post fake comments, sorry 🤓🙏🏼)
My E53 wagon after only 6 months of ownership has already had 2 failures of the 48v battery system.. Im considering getting rid of the car, 2 weeks in the shop so far.. Im disappointed. All the reviewers of these cars never talk about reliability. Its a big factor, and now Im considering abandoning my love of Mercedes, and just going back to Toyota or Lexus..
But it's not true!! honestly in this review it is wrong, it is a car designed for long journeys, comfort, autonomy etc etc, it makes no sense to compare it to an AMG version. It is not slower than the previous version on the contrary it is surprisingly fast, the gearbox is the same 9-speed, he has exaggerated in speaking.
It’s a downgrade. Better tech. But poorer quality, less room inside and no V8. This is gonna get chewed alive buy GV80, X3 and the other 100 mid size SUVs
What role does a modern slow V8 do in these times? I understand the classic old cars with V8 engines but why put it in modern cars? They get smoked by any Tesla anyday.
I love it...will be most likely my next car...or the C Class, since I don't like SUVs really. All advantages of an EV without the disadvantages of waiting 20 to 30 mins after 200km. Regarding weight...an EV is really heavy and I always hear this is no problem due to regen...but a problem for PHEV...no, not realy. Drove all available EVs...including EQS...and found them just boring ...bought my second Passat GTE after this. This is called a boring car, but only from people never have driven it.
@@Davoodoox1 I hope that your job pays well, I would not commute 100km a day! This car is 80k€,100km/day that means 100.000km in 4 years. After 4 years you will sell it for what? 30.000€? That means you payed 1041€ a month to own this car

True
Exactly. Teslas accelerate well and have fun features you will use exactly once before getting tired of them. Mercedes has everything else
Yes. 5.6 is good enough, but unfortunately in the US version, the GLC 350e detunes the ICE and gives us only 6.6 seconds. Why!

One of the best review of a GLC. I like your reviews because it is always technical oriented. Keep up the good work.

Reading that the air suspension won’t be available in the U.K. Just wondering if that’s not correct given what RBR says in this video.
Why isn't it going to be available in the UK?
Why isn't the AIRMATIC adaptive suspension going to be available on UK cars like it will be in other markets?
Got my 400e last week and I love it.

Can you confirm if this 2024 GLC PHEV models have just a little charging rate by recuperation?
Don’t discount off roading. I live half my life in a rural setting and need the off roading features
Diesel or petrol for the plug in do you think?
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!!!

The rear lights and the shape of the plastic diffuser makes the rear look melty....just doesn't seem solid like the old GLC
Outside of the ambient lighting, the 2020-2022 GLC interior is better IMO
Will this be coming to the US?
I really like those new rear lights🥲much more than the facelift glc
Is the GLC 63S going to be Phased out Now Then ??? 23:15
So whats the added value from a C estate?
120 range I think you did the km to Mile conversion wrong but otherwise great review as always
That’s the European version plug in UK version is different
What's the meaning of a plug-in hybrid
Why oh why doesn't MB sell these in America??!!
amazing teleport
The one man one engine must be so disheartening to have to make 4 cylinder engine when it's was V8,v12s
No congestion charge?? What's the trick?
I think that GLC 220d will remain best selling... and best resale value version in EU.
Not for long......diesel is getting less and less popular in the EU........
