Great review. Showing the watche's personality dynamics per band is powerful. Great editing, great footage. Got my eye on the Durham!
Good detailed review. The macro view and comment are to the points. Nice covering something that not many others do. Great work!
Dude what a great review really in depth and one really get a feel for the watch thanks to your thoroughness!
Well done!!
Thank you I really appreciate it!
Excellent, detailed review. Very handsome watch. I will keep it on my radar for sure.
I'm stunned at the quality of the dial under macro! So impressive for sub $1000 watch. And the custom movement finishing is such a nice touch. Case is a bit unusual, but I think in a cool way. Great observation regarding strap width balancing the watch head. Well done, sir!
Right me too! It was a hard watch to let go. Depending on how they iterate I may have to get one back
Really superb review. I’m considering this watch and am impressed by both the watch and the level of detail you provided in this video. Very thorough. Great job! 👍👍
Thank you, glad I could help. Hope you enjoy it if you decide to get it. Really cool piece
Great video! I appreciate that you always show watches on different straps. Also, great macros!
Thank you and good to know! Always wonder if people would prefer the videos shorter without the strap portions haha
I really enjoyed this review of the supposed “runt of the litter” of the three Farer cushion cases. So impressive to see the macros of their tight printing and just overall beautiful dial work, despite the tiny flaws which Moser would happily take. That was a great comp with the Panerai homage you happened to have on hand. Really showed the subtle difference in those case shapes. I’m not a huge fan of electric blue, but I liked your idea of fired blued hands with maybe different numerals. Maybe just steel in a very Fears way. Anyway. So nice to see comprehensive reviews of Farer. They seem to be rarer and rarer on UA-cam unfortunately even though they are more and more popular. Great episode
I am surprised that farer isn’t getting more air time on UA-cam but maybe it will come! And yep this one was a pleasant surprise all around, not much bad to say about it really!
Great review, very comprehensive indeed. Your macro analysis is superb although I could not see any of the very minor flews you mentioned. Overall a gorgeous watch, a very nice meld between classic with some contemporary aspects too.
The first time I saw this watch (on the manufacturer website) I found it very boring. But the more I re-visited it the more I fell in love with it and consider it exceptionally versatile. I had every intention to purchase it but had some unexpected expenses. Hope Farer will make more, soon.
Thanks so much for the review and strap advice.
That was a really nice in depth review. I really liked the video.
Also, I'm no expert, but the one thing I felt in this video was that many of your points were repeated several times. As a fellow watch reviewer, I feel that making the videos a little more compact help in audience retention.
Nevertheless, I really the video though and it was nice to see someone so passionate about the watch!
Nice watch, love Farer!
Excellent review. Thanks.
Lovely case really like the Stanhope version of this
Good looking piece and great video brother 👏
Appreciate it man 🙏🏻
nice video ! the watch as the shape of a panerai 574
Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching
Hi, very nice review it will be nice if you can add the time tolerance of the movement . Thx 🙏🏻
Gorgeous watch, though I would have preferred a porcelain white dial.
Great review! To my eye the logo seems to be painted with a really dark blue ink.
Thanks! And right? Hard to tell for sure
Had eye one of these. At first, strangely was set on either green or salmon variants, but they looked better in pics than irl. This blue looks worse in pics but much better irl. Its getting hard to resist.
Completely agree. This stood out less to me than the green(salmon isn’t overly my color) but I’m glad I went with this one. Fantastic watch in person
Nice and interesting review.
What you think, what is the movement are cool and practice inside this models, older ETA 7001 Pesaux or new Sellita SW216-1?Thanks.
I don’t think there’s much difference. Seems to be same architecture but just a way for people to still get the movement without having to go through eta
Sold! I bought it. Now waiting for arrival.
How are you liking this watch?
@@emmanuelgodwin4443 one of my favorites. For me the color combo is perfect. I’d like to get the Stanhope 2 as well. Closest thing to a complaint would be that I left handed and have to take the watch of to wind. It, but then I get to admire the back
Hello there! Congratulations on
your beautiful watch. I ordered the Durham
(salmon color variant), and would immensely appreciate your thoughts about the winding. This is my first manual wind watch. When you wind your watch, is it normal to feel a slight "pull back" from the crown? Im aware of the normal resistance that will feel as you wind the watch and the tension as it comes to a full wind. But is the crown's slight pull back also normal? Especially when is felt as soon as you start winding the watch from zero?
As I wind it and slightly let go to wind again the crown has a bit of resistance and springs back slightly. the crown has a bit of backwards or "counterclockwise" motion as I let go of the crown before turning it again to wind. Thank you immensely for your time and opinion!
Ya pretty standard I think most manual winds do that. Probably some a little more noticeable than others. No worries there!
@@theknightswatch Great, I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for the great content. Newly subscribed and looking forward to catching up with your previous reviews.
@@moncherias I also have this watch, and mine has pretty strong spring back until the click in the winding catches the gear and stops it
The Stanhope does have lume on the hands as well as lume dots along the outer edge of the indices.
Hey did you ever do a review on that cameo Havana Tuvali? Was that the blue Link and Tag version or the standard gray? You’re costing me a fortune. I just bought this Farer and trying to find out about the Havaan
Haha no I didn’t do the havaan yet. This is just there standard grey. I’ll
Probably have it posted in the next 2-3 weeks. Got an ap review then hopefully the prx 35 auto.
@@theknightswatch the AP is way out of my range but the smaller PRX is on the radar. That sneak peak really caught my eye.
Ps great work. Love the honest insights and strap combos.
Nice review!
Great looking and creatively designed piece but the coated blue hands and oversized case are turnoffs for me. These barrel shaped cases always wear much larger and I think 36 would have been a much better choice.
Very fair, had they made a smaller version it definitely would be interesting. I wouldn’t mind of course! And it may help the always mess of the case to shrink it a little
Try a Fears Brunswick
@@olliereed4206but 4 times the price. I love the Fears story but I think they are overpriced.
Agree with you here. 36 or 37mm at most at least for my 6&3/4” wrist.
That dimension would also allow a slight dome to the Crystal too as I feel the flat one used looks slightly at odds with the soft round edges of the case design.
Still a very nice watch at a fair price point though.
Hey I’m considering this watch as it should soon be available to order again but was wondering does it have any lume at all?
Nope 0 lume on it
@@theknightswatch many thanks, a bit of a deal breaker for me as I like to check the time in bed without using a phone which temporarily fries my eyeballs.
The stick marker at 6 o’clock instead of the cut off numeral looks so much nicer. Wish more brands would make this design choice. The cut off numeral just never looks right.
Gorgeous watch, especially the green version. But thank god I've never bought a loupe or a macro lens; it ruins all the joy!
Haha ya I hardly do it to my watches on purpose but I just expect defects at this point
The marker at 6 makes it look like there are two one o'clocks.
Fingerprint magnet
It shares some similarities with my Fears Brunswick and both look great. Though I believe Brunswick has better details, no doubt this Farer offers a much better value for the price.
Absolutely. I personally would take this over the fears since when I ordered one it was one of the worst qc jobs I’ve ever seen but I’m sure there are other models that are well executed. Just has soured my taste of the brand
@@theknightswatch Sorry to know that 😔
My Brunswick did have a movement issue after few months of usage but it has been repaired under warranty smoothly.
@@theknightswatch great video as always! What issues did you have with the Fears as they promote the owner qc’s personally?
@@DavidCosmos1 very unimpressed with qc was probably the watch that had the most qc issues that I’ve ever personally seen. Large scratches on the hands and numerals some specs on the numerals such very poor under macro
@@theknightswatch maybe this is harsh? But shame you didn’t review it your macros are amazing and might get Fears to look at there qc process too!
The Pink 20mm x 20 mm looks like sticks of gum
Your discussion about this watch was excellent. And the watch is really bargain. But you talk too fast. I was exhausted when I got done listening. But overall, a good presentation.
Ya a problem I have. If I talked slower the video would be even longer so it’s a give and take 😂
