  • Our friend Jim Hannan has owned this 1967 Plymouth Belvedere since he was 20 years old. It's been through a LOT of different iterations but never has it had the RO23 Super Stock hood he's always wanted until today! We show how to prepare a hood for cold air induction and setting a scoop correctly (and more).

I am a huge Sox & Martin fan and a Mopar owner since the 60’s. I currently own a 1967 440 4 speed GTX. I think the RO-23 hood is just what I have been looking for to emulate my hero’s Sox & Martin car. Thanks for the tutorial. I’m 70 and still am into muscle cars!

They do; but we didn’t want the scoop glassed on as the original RO-code cars didn’t and we already had the hood scoop.

Looks proper on a 67. You buy cheap drill bits they don't last long.
Get the files out and hand sharpen them.

All I have to say, other than it looks great! is if you can figure out how, seal the carb/ air cleaner to the hood. I did not do that on my 440 SIX PACK Charger, And the amount of air that enters through the scoop at high speed, along with what already enters through the radiator. will completely lift the front wheels off from the pavement. And having NO STEERING at speeds over 100 mph is ZERO FUN!

@@moparconnection I have several 66-67 hemi cars. They make Igor smile. And when I wear “ John travolta, Saturday night dance fever suit” chicks dig me. Just sayin. Igor is now American playboy

Why would we want to steal from Kramer who we bought this scoop from? Thats pretty dishonest.
