the not letting frustration get the better of you is imo by far one of the most difficult things in this game, i am truly amazed you were able to keep it together in a situation as abysmal as this. honestly, the importance of not losing your head is something i don't see reflected in the player's skill level (=mmr) in other games, sports, or disciplines - whether it's a 1v1 or a team situation. and it makes dota one of the most brutal grinds i've ever experienced. because the frustration is more than justified - for example, if i prove in the first 10 minutes that i'm the best player on the map, it is perfectly natural to expect my team to listen to my calls, play around my powerspikes, and basically give me the Liquid.Miracle- treatment. but unfortunately, that's not how pubs go, and the frustration that results from this has lost me thousands of more games than my lack of mechanical skill or game sense. to be honest, it's wild because if i compare it to something like chess, if i destroy the enemy hard enough in the opening, it's way harder to throw than it is in dota. if two martial artists fight and one of them is far superior, it's basically a done deal, the likelihood that the skilled martial artist loses is markedly lower than the 1 skilled player in a dota game. or if we take a team sport such as soccer, if you have a 5v5 at a playground but one of them is messi, it's going to be nearly impossible for that team to lose. but even if that player is not messi (=10k or 9k smurf), let's say they're a college athlete that shows promise (=not a smurf, just playing better than the rest); indeed, even in that situation, it will be much easier for that player to solo carry the game because 1. in person, people are more likely to be cooperative and 2. the game doesn't have so many situational problems that can mess that player's game up completely, whereas in dota you can be hard countered (and this matters way more than it used to in my opinion, at least as a core player), you can accidentally misclick at any point in the game which can have game losing repercussions, you can hold your bkb or cast your spell juuuuust 0.001 seconds too late and oh well that's you dead too bad, you can randomly walk into a smoke even if you're being careful, you can get fogged randomly in a fight and the enemy lives on 1hp and turns it all around with satanic...how the fuck is that fair? there's just sooo many weird, *extremely* tilting things that can happen in dota, which means you need to be playing far, far, far above your level to be able to have the winrate you deserve - the winrate that reflects how much more you care about winning than your teammates. also i'm beginning to accept that some heroes just aren't good for solo queue, and that's that. if you're playing a hero that's extremely easy to feed with, for example, it's much more unfair to you, the best player in the game, than if you were playing a versatile hero that can fill many roles and has good mobility to escape. what's the point of stomping the lane if i can't play in the enemy's face because my hero can still die easily? if you determine you are better than the rest of the players in the game by a large margin, i believe you should absolutely pick only heroes that can abuse that skill differential as much as humanly possible. otherwise you end up losing games you could have won, which is also extremely tilting. in the end, the greatest cure, that has never ever failed me, is playing only 1 ranked game a day. because the level of gameplay that you need to have to carry ignorant players while simultaneously keeping your cool is far too exhausting to do for more than 1-2 games a day. anything past that and you're just asking for the loss streaks lol
I really wish every SEA player watch this video either they are carry or supports. You're truly one of a kind for making such videos like this. God bless u Ahsan
low rank SEA players has 0 common sense in the game they are just focusing on what item they want to build even supports, if you play good as carry they keep trash talking you when you are farming lol even the first place they taking your creeps.
Thank you brother, I learned a lot of things that I didn't think about when I'm playing. I saw a lot of mistakes that I did in my games while watching yours. This will help me to improve and go to a higher rank. Thanks to you I'm not lost in the game wondering in the map aimlessly. I watched a lot of videos but this one is the best. I wished that I found this sooner. And now I will try to knock in the Ancients Rank door this week!
For the part where you speak about mindset that's called Compensations Plays, typically doing a suboptimal move trying to make up for what your teamates did or did not do, while knowing it is bad but still comitting to it.
1st channel i found that focus on the gameplay of a support. This is timely since i started choosing the life of support. Always get tilted with cores but now with this new mindset of focusing on my responsibility as a support and maximize my role hopefully ill have better impact in winning the games. Cheers for the contents youre creating!
I think unintendedly 2 cores are often playing “solo” in my 5k games but teaming up with a active core 2/3 and making moves with smokes and placing vision really turned a lot of games around for me (unlike when I was in lower mmr and just thinking about how anoying my afk cores were (tilting yourself)) this is a perfect example! ty for all the great support content! I binging all of your videos
the real problem is when all of your 3 cores are just solo playing afk.. and you are mby forced to try solo push a lane esp. if you picked a support who really cant do it
Playing dota 2 for almost 10 years, stuck around Archon-Legend for 9 years. Last year, I started try hard and climb from Archon 4-5 to Divine 4. I play support only and I feel this video very useful. Ahsan is right, dont let other giriefer affect your emotion, keep calm and be patient. Always try to bait enemy to your vision to fight.
Your videos are gold man, thanks a lot for all the efforts you put into this. I really like your style of explaining things, accepting your mistakes and correcting them on the go. Right now this is my favorite Dota 2 channel, you deserve way more subscribers because of this quality content you give us
pls tell me how to unblock a camp, idk if im stupid but i tried place sentry in the centre of camp and destroy enemy ward and still my camp is blocked, i cant destroy my own ward, my iq is below 80
The Small Camp always have a Spot where u cover it without having to break the ward after. For The Large Camp is recommended to put it on the center and break ur ward after unless u are close to hit the minute mark and u have a Bad Atkspd hero
Everything you say is very true but since I want to win as HC I win my line, I get a good network in the middle of the game but I start to want to create plays, press, divide, smoke, and in the end I try to do everything the others do not do. which becomes torture and simply a support that plays like you counteracts me because my role cannot compete in that aspect against yours because I have to farm and at that moment when I farm you will get the position later when I finish farming and I want to create the play you simply already have the position in the end I end up making a play that wastes my time because it leads to nothing or simply to committing a bigger throw. I think about that a lot but I do it again out of inertia because I want to win. but after what you have said I will simply try to focus only on my role, I hope not to fall into inertia again. If you have any advice on what HCs do that end up surpassing you in your games, I would like to know and thank you for all the content you make, it is truly spectacular
1 new thing for me, fight in our vision, i dont think in my bracket, the team will understand this, they will just go in to the dark and die, after that blame the support as coward 😂😂
....but what do you do, when your cores run into Dark areas for absolutely no reason, and never even entertain the idea of repositioning inside your vision....and are always fully committed to believing, thats its your fault they died, because you didnt chase after them? Please what is the answer !!! :)
I mute all and focus on game. Telling ppl on start that its not griefing, just for not losing my sanity. Gained 600 mmr on 2 weeks. Ofc some games are unwinnable, but mute all eliminate hate and toxicity in Dota for me. Soon 4k mmr, was starting from 1500 mmr 3 montha ago. Playing 3-4 games daily.
bro this is not feeding carry, feeding carry is when u stomp lane, and specifically tell ur carry that they have natures, spectre and bara and he proceeds to tp to the most futhest tower on the map solo, and die instantly 10 times in a row followed by gg end fast nub team
Thats so stupid, why do people think it matters when you single pull at all, why this NP trys to contest it all… why not just let it happen and take advance from the momentum when the enemy has to walk back in their tower to farm the running over creepwave..?
who is bsj, who is gameleap when we have this man teaching absolute gold
That "but it's fine" coupled with a heavy sigh (@21:31) had me. LOL. As a support player, I feel your pain.
XD
I have 12 wins in a row following your psychology. Thanks bro you’re awesome
Keep it up

also, mind giving some educational draft picks? bcs some game are just so hard with the draft picks😢
low rank SEA players has 0 common sense in the game they are just focusing on what item they want to build even supports, if you play good as carry they keep trash talking you when you are farming lol even the first place they taking your creeps.
Thanks for the video man , exactly what i needed! Subscribed!
Thanks for this video. I really learned a lot about how to use vision wards. Great explanation on how to use fighting wards.
Glad it was helpful!
Best educational Dota 2 video I have watched in my entire life! Thank you.

Another great channel for support is Zquixotix
Great video bob.
Some good insights.
Love and blessings .
Great vid! Thank you so much from a support player

learnt alot from this one VOD review alone! I suggest posting a lot more and u will easily get more subs and viewers
Thank you very much for the masterclass!!!!

ty, great video man!
Hiding from enemy vision behind the tree at the enemy high ground? Great tip! Thanks for the video.
brilliant points especially about mindset ty
maybe show us the spots for support in common area for team fights in the map. Thank you for the content brooo!
Not McDonalds but M loving it !
great video
pls tell me how to unblock a camp, idk if im stupid but i tried place sentry in the centre of camp and destroy enemy ward and still my camp is blocked, i cant destroy my own ward, my iq is below 80
Your iq is fine you just need experience
Put your sentry just on the outside of the camp so you can see their sentry and take it out that way
You should be able to A-click your own sentry ward or any allied ward that is blocking a camp
The Small Camp always have a Spot where u cover it without having to break the ward after. For The Large Camp is recommended to put it on the center and break ur ward after unless u are close to hit the minute mark and u have a Bad Atkspd hero
I realized my positioning just so bad and ez tilted
Everything you say is very true but since I want to win as HC I win my line, I get a good network in the middle of the game but I start to want to create plays, press, divide, smoke, and in the end I try to do everything the others do not do. which becomes torture and simply a support that plays like you counteracts me because my role cannot compete in that aspect against yours because I have to farm and at that moment when I farm you will get the position later when I finish farming and I want to create the play you simply already have the position in the end I end up making a play that wastes my time because it leads to nothing or simply to committing a bigger throw. mute them and keep playing if they blame you.

sometimes i end up killing a lot on early game as support. is it possible to deny my bounty to the tormentor to reset the gold reward if they kill me?
no
Pretty sure gold given just depends on your gold and enemy gold, one death isn't gonna change it much
How to win when all cores are throwing?
don't let it get to your head. if you're tilted then take a break so you can avoid tilt queue. tilt queue results in -300 mmr in 1-2 days
@@AhsanDotalmao this is so fkin true
Bro I'm archon player I've played 8k hrs dota till date. Never reach ancient rank. I don't know why I get so many dumb players
Hi sir. What gpu u using?
RTX 3070
Very informative, not like other channels is playing good not to teach you how to play "PROPERLY" as your role.
bro this is not feeding carry, feeding carry is when u stomp lane, and specifically tell ur carry that they have natures, spectre and bara and he proceeds to tp to the most futhest tower on the map solo, and die instantly 10 times in a row followed by gg end fast nub team
well that maybe is feeding in your bracket, but in 10k MMR bracket that troll is absolutely feeding and griefing!
Thats so stupid, why do people think it matters when you single pull at all, why this NP trys to contest it all… why not just let it happen and take advance from the momentum when the enemy has to walk back in their tower to farm the running over creepwave..?
