This game does take slot of practice
Bought it. It's amazing. Now to design and 3d print a steering-head-triple-clamp-handlebars setup for my Touch controllers.
When you’re leaning on a real bike, your hands will be fixed on the grips while your head and shoulders will swing to the side. I see you’re not replicating that motion. You are moving both your head and hands together, but that’s not accurate to leaning on a bike. Keep your hands mostly fixed in space and move your head and shoulders laterally - the game works great when you move this way which is more like real riding. You can try this before starting the race when you can see your controllers in-game. Keep them matched up with the grips and slide your head left or right (like you do at 10:02). Leaning works great and is critical to performance in this game for aerodynamic braking and balance in turns.
Because This *
I bought this game. It does have a learning curve, but i can tell you, once you get the hang of the leaning mechanism, its absolutely brilliant. It's become one one my favorite games on the Quest platform. The sense of speed is unmatched. When you lean and it feels like you can almost touch the race track road markings in the apex it is very exhilarating.
Awesome to hear!
I struggled at first now I'm winning races and getting faster go on the the track trails and learn the gates then you will start getting the hang of it
You feeling like you're off the bike in fast turns is actually accurate. If you watch Motogp or WSBK, and you imagine the helmet position of the riders in relation to the bike, it'll be similar to what you experience in the game. You literally are hanging off. So actually hang off your seat in real life. You're too rigid in your seating position. Once you wrap you mind around this, the turning feels more natural. In fact, I've noticed the more you hang off during a high speed turn, the more you can turn the bike. Just like in real life. I rode sports bikes for years and did track days.
The problem is that the game places you off the side even if you’re moving slowly. The lean should be speed dependent, which it’s not.
Exactly people are thinking it is based off of a Sunday ride on a moped lol
@@cappaholic but it is. The faster you go into a corner the more you can lean. It's only when you are out of control that you lean on the straight lol
I thought so too, pros seem to completely hang off their bike
I would really love to love this game...bought it, felt sick with motion sickness after 15minutes and requested a refund.. I guess I'm going to stick with golf plus!!
Oh dear, try taking yiur time with some slower VR games, build up your bodies immune system to motion issues.
this game has a steep learning curve, took me about 4 to 5 hours of actual racing time to get the hang of it but once you do its excellent.
I can beat the AI in hard or sim mode everytime now but not the top actual players, they still blow right by me but I can usually still see them at least.
This game makes me wonder how many beautiful Quest games we could have had but developers were comfortable mobile shit visuals to save money.
It´s not to save money but to earn money
great vid. def going to check it out and see how I go! :D Loved the photos at the end of all the VR youtubers! I think you managed to get a selfie with everyone. What event was it ?
I was looking at this other day.
One of the best racing games on the quest
As a matter of fact the 1st time I tried VR was at a back show. Thay had a real motorbike with a VR headset. I crashed spun out and felt sick for hrs. Almost put me off VR for good.
Oh dear....
Get your knee down.🏁
Those guys left you in the dust 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting game, but I will stick with the STEAM bike games for now. Turning in the corners is the thing that has to be mastered in this game or any bike game - looks like it takes allot of practice to get proficient with this games. I need to get UEVR and convert my UNREAL bike games over to VR.
Thanks for the tutorial on how VRider bike game operates and initial setup for handling.
Great video. Take care.
It actually feels very natural. Ride5 is great with UEVR but Vrider feels a lot more immersive with the leaning in real life.
Bro this is way more realistic than flat screen bike racing games. They are weird to control nowhere near like reality. This is.
@@Steelninja77 Yes exactly. Racing with a gamepad comes nowhere near hanging in real life through the corners. Just be sure to play it on a seat without armrests :)
You need to play on the floor crouched on your knees PD! 🤣🤣🤣 That's the only way it felt natural-ish.. keep your but on your heels 😅😅😅🤷🏾♂️💯
I uploaded a vid playing a while back playing this way lol
Good idea! haha
I have a workout bench in my computer room, that might be perfect to play this in VR.
@@bullit199 hmmm 🤔 U might fall off lool. When turning the handlebars into a corner, the more to lean into the corner (knee down) the more it feels as if your literally laying down on the road pulling the bike around the corner...
Only problem there is a small sweet spot.. had to reset my player position a couple times to get it right again.. sitting forward/backwards and ride Height makes a big difference... But it's too easy to get it all wrong. They need to fix that.. if it's even possible lol. Check out my vid upload of the game if u have time n you will see what I mean.
Bro it's not a real bike you do kinda hang off to the side but it's still awesome you can't lean like on a real bike because physics etc. but I did come 2nd with a little practice. I wouldn't say it has a problem because normal bike racing games are 3rd person and you are 3 foot behind the bike. This is the most realistic bike game yet imo.
Plus is this the full release or the early access cos I noticed a huge difference when it launched full release.
As someone with quite a few hours in VRacer Hoverbike I think it feels much better than VRider SBK. VRSBK feels a little twitchy and less accurate. I may give it another try once it’s available on PC, but so far I’m not impressed.
Sure it will miss you. Feels awesome to me. Proper adrenaline rush too. Next best thing to riding a real bike you can get.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
There is an option to change your helmet position, you need to move it forward & also lower the sensitivity of steering. It is realistic. just takes time! This was clearly the 1st time you played.
Please watch my videos of good multiplayer PvP. I love VRIDER. Developed by a studio that has already produced a flat screen superbike game. GG Mr 💙
You know when you lean on a bike your body actually hangs off the bike 🙄
This game looks like uncontrollable garbage, PD
It’s not. Just takes practice.
