The more you hear Orville, the more you love him. All the videos are tied together with a bevy of actors, singers, and comedians in the background playing supporting roles... Elvis's grand-daughter, Noah Cyrus, Margaret Cho, Diplo, a bevy of famous Drag Queens... he writes most of his own music and was trained in classical ballet. Oh, how I wish you had listened to Let Me Drown (live recording). I didn't know much about country music before, but Orville Peck is in his own league, both traditional and completely new and refreshing. And so beautifully queer.

You nailed it on what us 'Peckers' have been feeling about Orville since 2019. After I started sending out his tracks to my friends, they all gravitated to his music as well...pretty much instantly. He definitely carved out his own niche and it's almost a genre of its own. I'm not much of a country fan, and I don't see this as being country either. Very unique and totally enthralling. Other tracks that I really enjoy are Kalahari Down and every track from his new release Stampede, which just came out. ps: and I don't think 'Peckers' is an actual thing, I just made it up - but it kind of made sense to me on a couple levels. LOL. Keep up the great job Bill and your authenticity really came out in this video.
I know it was overwhelming to listen to so many sad songs but I’m so glad you listened to hope to die it’s one of my favourite Orville Peck songs and it’s always nice to see your thoughts on songs bc you’re so thoughtful
The first song was actually Willie Nelson’s song, but I love that Orville Peck did it as an open gay country singer. He was at the calgary stampede a few days ago and there was soooo many people to watch him perform. It was also cool because there was an art display of famous country singers made out of flowers, and he was included with the greats!
It actually isn't Willie's song either, he covered it in the early 2000's but the original version was written in 1981 by a Latino country artist named Ned Sublette!!
The way I've been WAITING for an Orville Peck video from you! I'm glad you enjoyed the queer cowboy. Absolutely agree with others for recommendations of a part 2 with "Let Me Drown" (Live video is BREATHTAKING), "Daytona Sand" (happy!), & "Queen of the Rodeo". "Hexie Mountains" is a personal favorite of mine, has a very nostalgic and soothing feel.
Orville Peck did a couple song covers I really like, he did a cover of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way and another of Reba McIntyre’s Fancy. They’re fantastic
I loved watching your reactions. They're was so insightful and honest and heartfelt and I love how the music really connects with you. I love how you're not afraid to let it affect you. You really need to do a deep dive on Orville Peck. Based on what you've said you like about him, there's so much more, and I think you'll just adore it. Also... you don't need to apologize for picking a lot of break-up/heartbreak songs. Trying to avoid them in Orville Peck's discography is like navigating a minefield. As for recommendations, my favourite song of his is 'Let Me Drown' which is the best example of his soaring vocals really going for broke, but be warned, that one absolutely wrecks me every time.
im SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS and strong recommendation that you listen to his songs Drive Me Crazy, Daytona Sand, Curse of the Blackened Eye, and of course youd love his version of Born This Way. thanks sm for everything :)

I have listened to bits of Orville Peck, and always loved his voice, but never really listened in depth. Your video has inspired me to take a deeper listen, so thank you. Thank you also for your emotional honesty. It is inspirational to see someone who is so open with their feelings. My favourite Orville Peck song so far is his cover of Bronski Beat’s Smalltown Boy, which is an iconic 1980’s song about a young gay man who is bullied and runs away from home. As well as the original having an amazing volcano range, which Orville Peck covers excellently, I love that a gay artist today is covering a song that was so significant to me as a queer youth growing up under section 28 here in the UK. Section 28 was the UK’s “Don’t say gay” law, which was brought into law by Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government in 1988 when I was 6 years old, and remained active throughout my schooling and teaching career, only repealed in 2003, when I was 22. The impact of growing up under that legislation is immense, and I am still feeling the hurt now.
I gotta say Bill your channel is a comfort to me to watch I grew up with no good men to look up to and (I hope this doesn’t make you feel weird) I feel like you are the big brother I never had. Being a queer woman with no secure community around me to fall back into. I sometimes watch your channel to feel some sort of belonging and community. It always feels safe. Thank you Bill.
Not weird at all! Happy to provide any support/comfort I can and I hope things improve soon! Thank you for the kind words! They genuinely help a lot! :')
I actually recently have been getting really into Orville in the last couple months and also finally watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time during pride month which hit really hard as a gay guy from the south and honestly having brokeback mountain fresh in my mind while listening to Orville's music really helps paint a very vivid but somber picture of like rural isolated queer people just trying to get by while also trying to be themselves and it's a very moving subject to explore even if it's not a very happy one.
Loved this. Thank you. If you do a part 2 to this, may I please request you react to "How Far Will We Take It," "Daytona Sand," and "Midnight Ride"? Liked and shared.
I was lucky enough to get a last minute ticket to his show in nola, and it was worth the vip price tag (and i got a signed poster out if it too) if you want more "fun" songs: daytona sand, lafayette, blush, bronco, any turn, and his cover of "fancy" are all great sadder songs that are gorgeous to the ears: kalahari down, hexie mountains, let me drown, queen of the rodeo, turn to hate he also did a fun cover of "Jackson" with trixie mattel thats worth checking out tbh you cant go wrong, the man does not know how to write a bad song
I've known of Orville Peck for a while now and even watched interviews of him, but I've never actually taken the time to really listen to his music till now. It sounds so nostalgic, like a lot of the music my grandmother would listen to. I can easily imagine seeing her slow dancing to a lot of and it makes me kind of emotional to think about. 🥲Great choice and great video!
I love your reactions so much, your one of the few reactions channels I watch pretty consistently! Some artists I recommend to try are "Everyone's worried about Owen" and the songs from "Epic: the musical", which is fantastic and needs more love :]

I discoveref Peck the spring/summer of 2020 when i was feeling super lonely. It really justvresonated with me well isoating. I can remember siting in my car outside the local Laundromat just lisyening keeping myself occupied.
Roses are Falling, No Glory In The West, and Big Sky are some of my absolute favorites of his. Honorable mention for his and Trixie's cover of "Jackson" by Johnny Cash
Wooo new bill content!!! Also you should check out “Epic the Musical”, it’s a musical about a Greek myth all written by this one guy who plays the main character. It’s like a mix of storytelling and music and it has a lot of inspo from video games and stuff. It’s rlly cool!! It comes out in sagas, 6 are out so far :D
I haven't read through all the comments, but yes, that IS him dancing in Hope to Die. Orville was in ballet for 12 years, and he also did musical theater and was in national touring companies in Canada for a few years. Another fun fact - he was also the drummer in a punk band. The man is fucking talented as fuck.
As awesome as this was it really lacked the best of his work. Bronco has so many masterpieces: The curse of the blackened eye, Kalahari down, Hexie Mountains, Let me drown.. and of course, if you like the happy ones, Daytona Sand (which was my very first introduction to Orville's work). From the recent work his Stampede vol.1 has mind-blowing good duets, like "How far will we take ir" with Noah Curys, and "Miénteme" with Bu Cuaron. Just sooooo many good songs. Honestly, the ones you picked are good but not great.
Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other is a classic. Love Willie’s version, tho I must admit Pansy Division’s is my favorite. But PD are always top tier.
I love come on baby cry. To me it's a coming out song. Orville is encouraging all the sad boys like him to let it out and stop hiding their true feelings. And as the song progresses the hostile bar full of toxic men transforms around the guy in the closet into a welcoming place of safety as he gets the courage to let himself cry it all out.
You should try some Shawn James music. He's not country, but similar feels and similarly strong vocals. Definitely some of the most soulful and deeply emotional lyrics in his genre, which is listed as "singer-songwriter", but has heavy blues, gospel, and Americana influences. Definitely worth looking into, especially with the kind of music you tend to enjoy the most in these videos.
ah i was just rewatching this series earlier! if you’re open to suggestions you should try to stan addison grace! he’s kinda like cavetown (they even toured together recently)
ORVILLE 😍😍😍 what a voice, right?! I’ve said this a few times already (so I’m very sorry if this is annoying), but I think you would love Bastille! You should absolutely check them out/react to them! Some songs I’d recommend are: • Glory • Blue Sky & the Painter • Those Nights • Another Place • The Draw • Flaws • Fake It (but skip the music video, do the Vevo Presents performance instead) • Quarter Past Midnight • No Bad Days • Intros & Narrators
Orville Peck is amazing and I love his style! I'd love to see what you think of other queer country artists like Adeem the Artist and Amythyst Kiah! I feel like you'd really dig Reclaim My Name by Adeem and Wild Turkey by Amythyst
I would love to see you react to EPIC: The musical. I’ve discovered it recently and it’s amazing. It’s based on Homer’s Odyssey. The narrative trough the music, effects and the characters is fantastic and emotional. It’s a journey to listen to it ❤

You should really REALLY check out Epic the Musical. It will give you every feeling, music genre, style EVERYTHING 🎉 pls do the animatics bc it makes the experience so so much better
hi bill! i’d love for you to check out the kpop boy group ATEEZ. their discography is incredibly diverse so there’s a guarantee whatever you click on will be something new! they also just recently performed as coachella which was a huge milestone in their career and i can guarantee you wouldn’t regret checking them out! not only are their songs incredible but they are solid with vocals, dance, and performance (named ‘performance kings’ by many experts). TRYING MY BEST TO CONVINCE YOU! i hope you’ll consider, have a lovely day :)
I like his more country tracks. Hexie Mountains, Lafayette, City of Gold, Papa Was a Rodeo and Hurtin Kind are genius. Im less fond of his pop stuff with Shania and Kylie. Im just not a pop gay.
Hey! new to the channel love the reacts! Would you be willing to react to Melanie Martinez? I think she would be in your wheelhouse, and she has really great/meaningful visuals

I laughed at that one
I really love Daytona sand, the curse of the blackened eye. Jackson with trixie Mattel is an upbeat song and Lafayette
Thanks for checking out Orville!!!
Nah Bill, this just means that now we can have a Trying to Stan Shania Twain because I feel like it'll be fantastic
I really hope you do more OP, specifically "Hexie Mountain," "Let Me Drown," and "No Glory in the West."
My favorite artist.
Ur so real for finding the mask hot
I haven't read through all the comments, but yes, that IS him dancing in Hope to Die. Orville was in ballet for 12 years, and he also did musical theater and was in national touring companies in Canada for a few years. Another fun fact - he was also the drummer in a punk band. The man is fucking talented as fuck.
heck yes!
Yesss!!!!
Going off this video, i bet you'd love Amigo the Devil
ah i was just rewatching this series earlier! if you’re open to suggestions you should try to stan addison grace! he’s kinda like cavetown (they even toured together recently)
YEEESSSS HELL YEAH FINALLY 🎉🎉🎉
YES
ORVILLE 😍😍😍 what a voice, right?!
I’ve said this a few times already (so I’m very sorry if this is annoying), but I think you would love Bastille! You should absolutely check them out/react to them!
Some songs I’d recommend are:
• Glory
• Blue Sky & the Painter
• Those Nights
• Another Place
• The Draw
• Flaws
• Fake It (but skip the music video, do the Vevo Presents performance instead)
• Quarter Past Midnight
• No Bad Days
• Intros & Narrators
Orville Peck is amazing and I love his style! I'd love to see what you think of other queer country artists like Adeem the Artist and Amythyst Kiah! I feel like you'd really dig Reclaim My Name by Adeem and Wild Turkey by Amythyst
Oh, and that is definitely him dancing - he trained in ballet.
hell yes
I would love to see you react to EPIC: The musical. I’ve discovered it recently and it’s amazing. It’s based on Homer’s Odyssey. The narrative trough the music, effects and the characters is fantastic and emotional. It’s a journey to listen to it ❤
Drive Me Crazy!!
Commenting early in the video crossing my fingers that you listen to cmon baby cry 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
YES
if you're doing more orville peck i really recommend the duet with noah cyrus, How Far Will We Take It
Hi
I love your reactions
I was wondering if you’ll be willing to do a reaction to DPR Ian or just the DPR guys in general. I feel like you’ll enjoy them.
The new country album from Thethirdbill: Margaritas, Piña Coladas, 9/11
You should really REALLY check out Epic the Musical. It will give you every feeling, music genre, style EVERYTHING 🎉 pls do the animatics bc it makes the experience so so much better
You need to do Orville and Trixie Matel!!
Do trying to stan Bug hunter! His character kinda looks like you!
*Howdiness intensifies* 🤠🤠🤠
Killjoy and the cutthroats kind of sounds like orville peck, I'd suggest listening if you like him, he only has 3 songs out though
Also if you're looking for more queer country, I highly recommend Amythyst Kiah! Queer black folk/country/blues/alt singer!
Hi Bill, you should try to stan Clancy, the new twenty one pilots album!!
Okay, now you gotta react to Shania Twain
He should check out epic the musical
hi! love your vids ngl:) could you maybe try to stan Ricky Jamaraz? he’a a really cool dude
hi bill! i’d love for you to check out the kpop boy group ATEEZ. their discography is incredibly diverse so there’s a guarantee whatever you click on will be something new! they also just recently performed as coachella which was a huge milestone in their career and i can guarantee you wouldn’t regret checking them out! not only are their songs incredible but they are solid with vocals, dance, and performance (named ‘performance kings’ by many experts). TRYING MY BEST TO CONVINCE YOU! i hope you’ll consider, have a lovely day :)
bill !!! please please react to conan gray's new album
Please react to Epic the music.
Bill is gay?
You talk way too much and the clips of the music too short
If you're going to do another Orville Peck video (which I personally would love, but no pressure) might I recommend l, in no particular order, Roses are Falling, Kansas (Remembers Me Now), Take You Back (The Iron Hoof Cattle Call), Outta Time, and Lafayette
