I have never listened to country music, but I am in love with Orville's music - I finally got to see him live and I hope he'll be around for a long time!❤
I've never listen to Country music before but after watching this interview I listened to his new album and I was surprise that I was listening the album till the last song of it. Wow I never knew country music is so relaxing and comporting! thank you for the great interview!
As a straight senior citizen male I'm so glad I've discovered Orville Peck. He's saving country western music from what it has degenerated into today! ( just in time) 😮 I pretty much don't care for most of today's country 😮 music
Before knowing anything about him, soon after finding his music as Orville Peck and the lyrics about once being in a band, I had a very strong feeling he was in punk before. That to say, when talking about how he thinks the ethos trickles into his solo work he is completely right. Often when an artist says something similar its patting themselves on the back or trying to portray an image, Orville is the real deal as a songwriter and performer. Hearing him talk about it and feeling like an outsider in an outsider genre and how he got to making his current stuff is amazing.
I used to like country music but growing up in Los Angeles a lot of friends thought it was lame or cringe, made me feel like ashamed, Orville Peck definitely changed that and is helping revitalize the genre
Great interview. I’d love to see the first interview that you mentioned doing with Orville when he first started out several years ago. Is that available anywhere?
6:55 ....I love that he name drops White Zombie and Smashing Pumpkins! They being the 2 most important bands of my teenage years (mid 90s, I'm a bit older than him)
I love Orville, since Pony, I hope he comes to London and utilises good backing singers as filmed concerts online are great, I think backing singers not only help harmonies but add to the lonesome character on stage. I love where he is now, really looking forward to seeing him in the stratosphere

totally agree. Him and Jelly Roll got me into liking it!

He’s so hot 🥵
The fact that he’s wearing a LDR tank top. 😍
Tom, is there a way you can put the first interview from back in the day on You tube? I know some of the songs are. Please sir.
The first CD I bought was Trout Mask Replica 🏅
Whats with the lone ranger mask?
0:42, why did he extend his jaw to the side?
Shout out A&B Sound.
