What a talent! Very good interpretation!! Last night I saw and heard Asmik for the first time as Tatjana ( E.Onegin) in the Berlin Opera house. The whole audience was absolutely enthusiastic, I was touched to tears. She really is a great singer, an outstanding musician, and a fantastic actress with lots of passion. By the way: the whole performance was overwhelming and extremely intense.
Asmik Grigorians Gesang hat jene schwer fassbare Qualität, in der Text und Stimmklang verschmelzen, in der Leiden ohne jede aufgesetzte Expressivität zum Ton wird. Solches Singen hat Teil am Geheimnis des Kunstwerks Oper... Großartig!
This not good. Voice is too small for spinto roles. She also lacks a necessary proper chestvoice. And there are constrictions to the production of her tone. Sorry the hype around her is really just a hype...

So good that the world's got you...explaining us how voices have to sound like...But: Opera is not just a theory written in books about it: it is life and live! Sitting in an audience hall is much more impressive than writing comments on youtube.
