I wish more road bikes would come with UDH hangers. Having the option to run the soon to be released Sram Red XPLR 1x13 sounds very tempting for a nice, simple and aero road setup.
@@tinoschneider6350 A new frame design takes at least 2 years of development lead time before final release. So UDH hangers would start to appear as standard on bike frames at least 2-3 years after UDH was first public release. Since not all frame manufacturers are clued in with SRAM.
I have to say, a few years ago I would have never considered a Chinese brand, but now with the ridiculous prices western bike brands are charging I’m seriously considering it! They’ve come a long way.
Supporting Chinese made products needs to be wisely considered. Low price may be sweet at first but eventually you end up in a situation like with other products. Western companies go out of business, or before that happens, you have political actions to mitigate (toll/taxes).
you're late to the party, plenty of guys I know are buying chinese brands, that includes frames, wheels, accessories. Groupsets are the only thing that are stil "Western", but even here Chinese electronic groupsets will soon take over in a few years. I'm giving the middle finger to overpriced Western brands, are you listening Zip and Enve?
Yup, looking into potentially doing a custom build, and that Seka just went to the top of the list. Only problem, I have no idea how to get one in the US, :(. But wow, what a good looking bike.
The 3d printed titanium frames look exciting. Presumably if they can control the wall thickness and butting through the cross section similar to what is achieved with a fibre layup - then we can have a tuned ride quality combined with the impact resistance and longevity of Ti. If the repeatability and precision is there in the process then that could be fairly revolutionary... once the price drops alongside the scalability. Looks pimp too.
I mean, most western brands don't have a dedicated R&D team, and they're instead off-loaded to Chinese OEM factories and the brand only buys the license (sometimes exclusive) to specific models and decide how strict the QC is going to be. So a lot of the things are never really western to begin with. It's not that the western brands are falling behind, it's just now that more and more Chinese OEMs are starting their own brands and thus have more exposure
there’s a brand called BIGROCK making 600g xs frames, size 58 is like 730 or 750 grams, under 1kg with fork in their largest size offered, it’s lighter than any of the bikes shown here i wish people could cover them more, the only review i’ve seen so far is from china cycling
3D Printed carbon frame is a bit of hit & miss. Those brake calliper covers will block 12 speed Shimano calliper bleed ports, unless you take them off the frame ;-)
i have a cheap KESPOR (REBRANDED) china titanium bike..... i love it so much..... i already planning to get another titanium to replace my current carbon race road bike.....
wow looked those Trigon bikes, they are similar prices to major brands, a frameset is over $4,000 usd. smh priced themselfs out of that chinese market real quick
Oh, Windspace made a copy of the Tarmac Sl7. They even used the the two first letters from the sl7, sl, in the name. No surprise that Chinese brands are plagiarizing western brands. We shouldn't uncritically praise them for that, but we see all too often that UA-camrs are completely panegyric in their mention of them. Probably because the Chinese brands sends them stuff - something they want to maintain
the era of the collusion prices that certain high brands have been doing is coming to an end. The good pigeons we are who have to pay 15k for a bike is over. All the frames are done in Asia rest is bs marketing. As reminder a V2 ducati cost the same than few high end bikes Focus won 2 sprints at the TDF ….really it must be a 15k bike ….no…. Van Rysel is the 3rd team ytd in terms of pro tour victories…really it must be a sworks or Lab71 ….no not a 15k bike really….
If you want to politicize everything then just dont buy anything from asia because every thing here profits the CCP even if it is manufactured by Taiwan or even south east asia because the machineries all came from CCP and the food that sustains the workers all came from CCP.
Depends on how you define 'CCP owned', state owned corporations are mostly in core industries such as banking, energy, infrastructure etc. commodity such as bikes are insignificant and are mostly private enterprises nowadays, so technically they are not 'CCP owned' per se. However, all companies in China albeit by laws made by CCP so the government can do whatever they want with them, if that's what you mean by 'CCP owned'.
@@cazat almost everything made in asia goes through CCP, be it raw materials, machineries, and even food imports that the workers feed on. So if like this poster want to be a political idiot, just stop buying anything that is made in asia.
Titanium frame building has been taken to a whole new level.... super cool stuff!
Wow...the 3d printed frame is my new dream bike.

thanks for showing us David

I have over 8000 miles on a Chinese frame I bought on eBay around 2010 with no problems!
You won’t be disappointed. I have the winspace slc 2.0. Rimbrake. Love it.

That Seka looks so good 😍
That Seka looks premium. I've got a tarmac frame order, if this frame was available at the time i ordered I might go with this.

New Seka looks nice and wow some of the titanium bits look cool to.. Pete 😊 🚴🏻👍
Those TSB Frames look great
Nice job David thanks sharing
The Chinese brands are doing some really great things. Are western brands falling behind?
For 1/2 the money, started buying my stuff like that.

That Trigon paint job was really slick...if your into that busy thing 😅
There are 4 Piston Hydraulic Juin Tech on that Trigon Bike with Flat Mount at @6:01. That's new too. Quite exciting!

The Trigon gravel bike looks like the WINSPACE G2 and LB Journey Gravel. Just without all the mounts...
Might be an open mold.
How does 3D printing of carbon works actually work?
I mean you need the long fibers for stiffness and strength. I don't think you can print this 🤔
dont think ive ever seen so much bad graphic design... the fonts, logos and branding of these products really let them down
The Seka branding is quite good, all the other ones still need work in their VI department.
Any have it all really - these makes and models are usually quite cheap even when compared to their closest counterparts from Taiwan
It’s the bad names for me.. winspace is a dreadful name. So is trifox. drive wheels, big rock. ltwoo. they all just sound pants don’t they.
Yeah, horrendous
😂😂😂😂
You can 3D print a carbon fiber bike yourself by growing (printing) bamboo and then epoxy resin wrapping the joints. Lots of them out there.
Literally growing your own bike!!
Wait, there is new slinky tech?! You gotta cover that.
I have Trigon ar01 Taiwanese brand, one of best bike I ever ride.
It would be good for you to ride the Trigon or other bikes and compare it with established brands.
Notbing wrong with the nane Winspace! They are manufacturers for the " mainstream" brands.
Which brand uses the hi-light frames? Looks like bossi or reilly
SEKA PLEASE SHIP TO MY HOUSE!!!!
3D Printed carbon frame is a bit of hit & miss. Those brake calliper covers will block 12 speed Shimano calliper bleed ports, unless you take them off the frame ;-)
Absolutely crazy tech.
Bike frame made of two triangles.
This will change everything, absolutely mindbogling.
Why noone thought of that before?
i want the Seka.. but sooo expensive for me (Thai salary!)
700grams , that's lighter than your Crux David, I wonder if it'll ride as well or better than your Crux?
I need more info on that titanium ebike...which brand/manufacturer is it?
i have a cheap KESPOR (REBRANDED) china titanium bike.....
i love it so much.....
i already planning to get another titanium to replace my current carbon race road bike.....
Yes! Titanium is MUCH better than the plastic bikes now offered.
Excellent
No demand for rim brakes? Lol
1:48 that headset looks terrible.
wow looked those Trigon bikes, they are similar prices to major brands, a frameset is over $4,000 usd. smh priced themselfs out of that chinese market real quick
The designers are starting to get bored so they overdesign things and the final result doesn't look good.
BB86 and no UDH in 2024. It’s a no from me dawg.
💯👌🏻👌🏻🚴♂️

kudos, we came here for bike shiz and learnt a new word.
Taiwan is not China. Much better quality.
99% of Americans would never know the difference 😂 Keep Taiwan free

the bicycle industry cake is too small for ccp to have any interest
Don’t buy Chinese.
Buy Taiwanese
You know , Taiwan is a province of China
I think most understand that it has been under dispute since 1949.
