Just found this video at almost 130 in the morning, i remember my dad helping me play this on our Apple II GS as a kid, but for YEARS i couldnt remember the name, after hours of searching emulator sites i found choplifter, then rescue raiders, then finally, Armor Alley, the game i MEANT to find, and now your remake, awesome job! So many memories

There was a Commodore 64 game I spent many hours searching for, similarly - and I eventually found it, played it for a bit, and then of course forgot the name. 🤣 If you get to trying out my remake, let me know how it holds up to the original - and especially, let me know if you find any bugs! 😉
About to be 37 i remeber my dad playing this late night i would always sneak out of the bed to go play this with him!! He would let me sometimes saying dont tell your mom 😂😂😂 this look like a remake good work man thanks for the good memories. Rip 🙏🏽 🙏🏽 dad miss you 😔 😢

I have had a lot of nice comments from people who remember playing with their Dad or on the family computer, and it is a great honour to be able to bring back some of that nostalgia for those who remember. I have added a lot to my remake since last year, so stay tuned!
I do these things not only for myself because I enjoy them, but I know that others will, too. I am very glad you found it! I started this project in 2013 and I said I wouldn’t do multi-player networking as I didn’t have the time - but then some things happened, and I started to have the time. 😉 I hope you enjoy my remake. Found your game/site a couple months ago and was ECSTATIC (and just found this video now - not sure why I hadn't seen it before - lol probably too distracted by the game)!! I used to LOVE playing this on my mac back in the day. Soon after the iOS app store came online many years ago, the original developer was actually working on porting the game to iOS, and I was helping him with testing it. Unfortunately, he eventually gave up (which was really a shame, as he was SO close to finishing). So it was awesome finding this and being able to play the game again! And being a web game developer myself, I was able to appreciate all the hard work you put into this. :)

I do these sort of things not only for myself, but because “the internet,” I know that others will find and enjoy them as much as I do. I started this in 2013, made this video in 2023 and I continue to refine and add details here in October of 2023. My hope is that people who play my remake over time can appreciate the refinements, and folks who are new can see the roots of the original features and details, with modernizations and optional features here and there. I wish I got to try the iOS beta; I had seen a video or two of it online, but not much more than that! 😅 I am planning another update video covering the latest additions, so stay tuned - and do let me know if you find any inconsistencies, bugs or have other feedback.
Absolutely spectacular, thank you for brining this back to life. One of my all time favorites back with the 486, such a great long lost DOS game is now back!
