Is the swimming in a pool or open water?
Keep in mind when its in open water, a wetsuit can be mandatory at low water temperatures

Good point! I'm actually doing 2, the first is a sprint triathlon, with just 400m of swimming in the pool, then the main event I'm targeting is 1500m open water. I'll definitely be getting some open water practice in beforehand, and will start looking into wetsuits soon!
