Such a great list Jeremy! I think people overlook the importance of some sort of anti-chafe product. People can bike on any time of bike but it must be in good working order so I typically tell people to take it by a bike shop and have them look it over. Thanks so much for making this one! I think it'll help a lot of people! 👏
Thanks so much for the kind words, Matt! Really means a lot 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 Gotta love the anti-chafe and that's a great tip too about having their bike looked over at a bike shop first 💯 My pleasure for making this one - I hope it does help others too! 😄
Good stuff Jeremy, I appreciate it. I’ve been researching this topic when I came across your page. I am going to do a Sprint Tri in September, so I’d like to see that clip on cycling shoe and pedal video bro.
Hey Brandon, thanks for watching the vid 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 That's awesome you'll be doing a sprint in September - best of luck! Hmu if you need any other info. Also cycling shoes + pedals video - you got it bro!!
@@JeremyTri Thanks my dude, I feel good about it, I have a little weight to cut before I want to jump into my training. You’ve given some solid tips for sure.
Great vlog. Planning on training for my second triathlon and found your videos. Thanks for making them and nice to see some representation. Are you filipino too?
@@Phenomenons I never found this to be the case. The back pocket of the tri top is naturally pretty snug, as it must be in order to hold things while cycling. So no drag as far as I’ve noticed!
Hi there! I haven't encountered a trisuit that has 20d padding, but in general - trisuit padding has less padding than cycling shorts. This is because the trisuit's padding needs to dry quickly after the swim (and not hinder you during the swim) and be comfortable for the run as well. So I'd say it's safe to get a trisuit with thinner padding for overall performance, especially if it's your first race!
Hey do you recommend a try suit or a two-piece top and bottom? I'm a beginner and will be doing most probably a spring triathlon. My main concern is being able to use the bathroom if I need to, which I heard is difficult in a full tri suit
Hey! So I only own two-piece setups - a tri top + tri shorts. I like the versatility of being able to switch out different tops and shorts - and like you, having the option to easily hit the bathroom if I need to during a race (which has definitely happened a few times before)! If your concern is being able to easily use the bathroom, and you can't choose between the two options, go with the two-piece 👍🏽 Best of luck in your first tri!
I definitely want to make sure you get credit if I order something different from your link on the women’s side of things will you still get credit or do I need to send you want I want for you to create the link for you to get credit?
Hi there! Yes, if you swim with this hrm, it still would work after the swim course! I wore it during all my triathlon swims, and it would be fine reading my heart rate on the bike and run. However, this hrm wouldn't pick up my heart rate on the swim. I bought a newer version of this hrm, so idk if this has changed - maybe it will work with a newer GPS watch, maybe bot - can let you know when I try it out. Cheers!

Goggles need to fit well. Invest money on some that don't leak and fog. Makes a HUGE difference.
For sure! Definitely don't want goggles fogging, or worse, breaking on you during the race! 👍🏽

Does the open back pocket of tri tops not cause drag while swimming?

For the wetsuit, do you just wear it over the trisuit. Knowing you want more warmth.
Yes, you wear the wetsuit over the trisuit! The wetsuit will keep you warmer and more buoyant while swimming 🏊🏼♂
