Thank you Doc. You are truly the OG of online dermatologists. You explain very well, yet you don't overwhelm me. I have been following you for years.I like when you try on the products, it gives me an idea how it will look on me. I'm 65 and I treat my neck and chest the same as my face since I was a teenager. It looks very good. Looking down on my phone a lot. I should keep in mind I can get lines as you described. Don't want that.✌️
.. Protect the neck with Sunscreen. Mineral and water resistant sunscreen with no tint/application: every 2 hours. Got it…..I got the retinol from the RoC in capsules and in the Fall I will get a prescription for retinol from my dermatologist. Thank you for all the amazing advice.
Ty for this video! This is such a huge issue for me- not only bc of normal phone usage, reading books, etc, but my JOB- I'm a dental hygienist and I spend a large part of every day looking down towards my lap! I've gotten way more diligent about sunscreen usage and sun protection on my neck in the past few years, but my position just really helps those lines to form. I will be checking out some of these products to help diminish them.
Started getting the neck cords and started tapping after applying my serums, cream, and eye cream. Then I starting tapping 20 times on left, 20 times right then 20 times on front and jowl area. I originally did it on my face too but after only 5 days noticed my face was getting a little sunken so I just press the stuff into my face. I was 70 when I started, didn’t take long to fix my neck. I’m not into injections, surgery and I’m doing great. I get the best creams I can find for the best price. I love your vlogs.
Hi doc ❤absolutely love your videos, and I’m so glad you are able to get to use and experience theses wonderful products. Thank goodness for your support and knowledge throughout this journey. Xx
Don’t forget the sides of your neck people! I’m 40 and have been super careful with reapplying SPF 50+ daily. I applied it everywhere (face, front of neck, scalp any exposed skin), BUT somehow I missed the sides of my neck and that occurred to me when I noticed that the area on the sides of my neck really starting to be crepey.
Omg THANK YOU for mentioning tinted SPF (so many derms neglect to mention the benefits of iron oxide for discolouration prevention)! Also, apparently spraying the neck of your clothes with hairspray negates staining, although I’m yet to try it personally.
Other things to do for work at to use adjustable laptap platforms that can be raised so you're not looking down and also to try and look up more than down when using your phone.
Hi Dr. Daniel! I love the information you give within your videos and have learned a lot. I have a quick question though, could you prohaps do a video on skin care products for those of us who are allergic to formaldehyde and it's derivatives. I know that vanicream is a skin care line that does not have such ingeridents but I have yet to find a retinol that does not contain it.
Love your channel! I have UA-cam neck 😎! Turtleneck tops also work great especially in the Northwest since we have only 16 sunny days a year. Aloha!🌺🏝🍍🥷
Any info re: Adapaline for the neck? Also, I quit using tinted SPF, now use an untinted Olay mineral SPF on face & neck, and brush with mineral makeup on face, works beautifully.😊
Hey, just found your channel, and this is only the second video I've watched. I already subscribed, but since I haven't gone to look through your videos. I was curious if you have a video on good vegan and cruelty free sunscreens? 😅 Please and thank you
Can I use my Retinal and Retinol in rotation? I used a “very good” Retinol, but it was causing itching and flaking. Then someone suggested using a Retinal product- wich I did. With this product I never got itchy or flaky skin again! But I still have this expensive Retinol that I don’t want to throw away, so I just wanted to ask if it is safe to trow in the retinol into my routine like once a week so that it doesn’t go to waste..
@DrDanielSugai - Are you saying this is for "turkey neck"? What about these for men? Particle, Gold Bond, Monet, Systeme 41 to name a few? It seems the market is littered with so-called products that solve for this condition from aging! Thx
Thanks Dr! I love your videos, and your channel. I have a question about vitamin c eye brightening creams. I am a 65 yo lady with lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. Now, I even have bags. I retired a few years ago and I am trying to concentrate on me, and my appearance. Do you have any recommendations on eye creams? I am also allergic to Cocoa Butter. 😀
I´v been using Cerave resurfacing retinol on my neck... but I don't see results, and when I try neutrogena retinol intense care cream on my neck.... I got red spots
I use Tretinoin on my face 6 nights a week. I started using Avene Retinal 0.05 on my neck the red itchy rash I got on my neck and chest I stopped using it. Being that I put it on then lay in bed it gets on my chest. Due to double chin.
I have a prescription retinoid and I use only twice a week. My skin literally peels for days after using. Anything I can do for that or is this product simply to harsh for my skin? Thinking I need to switch to one of the recommended products in this video
I like that Neutrogena retinol. It’s strong for me so I do not use it everyday. I even put it on the tops of my hands. I just got the A313 and will be trying that one soon.
What if you have had lines forever on your neck ie 99% sure mine are just genetic and I’ve had them for as long as I can remember. Would retinol still help? To clarify I have the horizontal lines.
Thank you for making this video. I wil try the CeraVe retinol serum on my neck. I only use it for my face. I do have a question is it possible to my CeraVe retinol serum also during the summer time? In the morning i always use to CeraVe cream with spf 50 for the face. And when i’m a lot in the sun i use a sun screen on top and reply it.
Really? No! Please do some research on this. Look around and notice some people’s skin (face/neck/body) that looks so dehydrated, scaly, and wrinkled because they DON’T ever use moisturizer. Obviously, their “NMF” alone, isn’t doing the job. 😖

I have horizontal lines that I've had since I was a child

What did u use with spf 50 for face and neck
Always so helpful, thank you.
I use sunscreen during the day and a retinol serum at night . I basically treat my neck the same way I do with my face 👌
Thanks again for the Informative video! Love watching these as I eat a meal lol

Love your channel! Could you give suggestions on how to help a textured chest from too much sun exposure?
Sunscreen and cover.
Thank me later.

can you please discuss hydrafacials? Are they good or bad for different skin types? thankyou

What do you think of the Dermotology brand of products? Neck cream specifically.

Why don’t you use the retinol on the back of your hands? That’s what I do and it works well. Plus, the hands are not that sensitive.
wait, alpharet overnight cream is almost as strong as tretinoin? but they don't disclose the %, do they? so what's the strength then?

Is it safe to apply retinol onto moles?

What do you think about red light for the neck? I was thinking of buying the Foreo neck and chest thingy

that's what i really don't like with my sunscreen. it ruins the neckline of my black shirts.
Damn I gotta stop smoking blunts 😢 I guess I’m a joint guy now. 😂
Thank you for advice Doctor 🙏👏🫶
What shall I do. I lost weight now I have a turkey neck 😢 What can I use to get rid of this I am so 😢
Cords!!😢😮

Same here ...in childhood. I’ve also seen children from time to with them.
I think it’s inevitable as we age.

Several derm channels and articles have said retinoids are fine to use during the summer. Just be diligent with sunscreen.
@@db-gb5xithank you for you’re answer
Is it bad to moisturize the skin in neck area (or face) because it stops the skin’s natural ability to maintain its own moisture/hydration level?

Excuse me, who, still smokes- cigarettes?
