    I love how they put all the pursuits on live tv in LA. I kinda miss seeing them. Lived out that direction back in the 90's. I remember they would just bust in on regular programming to bring you a live chase.

      I grew up out there and the loved breaking into whatever was on TV to show any pursuit. I remember the OJ one clear as day and was shocked it went nationwide. It’s my guilty pleasure watching these on UA-cam, makes me feel like I’m back home. And dude, the 91 is the worst freeway to run on. That thing is a damn parking lot every day. This guy lucked out with that.

      Yeah and I’ve never heard someone describe something on fire as “fully involved in flames” ive heard people say “fully engulfed in flames” before but never the latter. They both said it to one right after the other. Did the reporter just make a mistake and the ex-cop just copy him blindly or is that something they usually say?? Idk what his life holds, but its different than what it would have if he just left the truck alone.

      Police in California face more restrictive regulations when it comes to apprehending people, Id say that's the reason why these pursuits always seem to drag out longer than they should.

      Yeah, they try to maintain a standard of safety for bystanders, as well as themselves. If the suspects aren't thought to be armed/dangerous, it doesn't make a lot of sense to risk lives to catch them.

      Public safety is above the law in the US and California has so many residents the police chases are extremely long if the suspects are on public roadways but I agree that there’s almost no vehicles on this highway so pit him and leave him to figure out how to slow the truck down. Lol

For one thing you have the police cars with lights and Sirens to warn people to look out... and these cars may end up going into a pole but the police would have no control over forcing a vehicle into a pole or a ditch and a lot of things could go wrong. Generally it's best to let them go till they run out of gas.

I wonder if there is any involvement with that vehicle tracking the U-Haul. Obviously it can be a complete coincidence but I thought it was noteworthy! Who knows.. may or may not be significant

      @@79tazman yep his shoes had some kind of black on top as the white looked a little thicker than a band type like old school Reebok’s were. Looks like he ditched the backpack and took the jacket off as he had black jeans on as well and the guy arrested was in all black with black tshirt which he more than likely had on under the jacket. He probably threw any drugs or paraphernalia out or into the backpack and ditched it in or near that building.
      I can’t quit laughing at him falling on his face though🤦🏻‍♂️😂

    Y’all guys did a fabulous job. I laughed till I cried at the ending. I swear it was funny, but I love how smart y’all guys are cause I probably wouldn’t point out things like that but I looked at the parking lot in his shoes to this could possibility be the guy who knows with my book bag will probably never now sadly I know depression already I guess but also in that parking lot there was only one car that was missing and if who would walk in the parking lot so chilled and everything hearing sirens and everything would you go back inside if he has an apartment there and just stay there because to me, that makes more sense, right???

They're just standard news stations & aren't designed to be opionated. in my city, Fox is actually a lot more progressive and willing to conduct high quality investigations and stories than the others! The others are very much in the State's pocket, and afraid to ever do stories critical of local government/policing/etc.*
      *Especially my local ABC affiliate, which is owned by Sinclair--who literally requires them to run regular Fox News-esque stories.)

    I was visiting LA at the time, driving the 405 at 4 AM and driving the 101 in the afternoon. I kept looking in my rear view mirror looking for a pursuit should it come up on me. Didn't see anything. I later found that I missed 2 different pursuits while I was there. DAMN
