Thanks for the tip!!! Job started with seized cv joint in hub that I worked on for an hour, ended up seperating axle and puting it in a press with 5t of pressure and heat waited and finally came out. Next inner part of axle was seized and I tried other methods with no luck. Your video helped alot!

absolutely!.... You know whats funny though. with this axle if you just heat it and it gets too much heat the dam n axle wont come out. The first time i had a fight with this style axle i ended up melting the braket a bit and it still didnt come out. Then i went to work for Nissan a co-worker showed me this method and its worked like 90% of the time so far.

Awesome trick. Can't wait to try it next time one comes in. That shouldn't be too long. most people at my dealership either air hammer it out of the bracket after putting some heat on it or remove the bracket and bring it to the press. This truck sounds great. I saw Eric o post a great similar trick with press in bearings and the hub.

not sure if mapp gas is going to get it hot enough fast enough. You need to get it hot quick. If your willing to spend a few bucks, see if they have this little kit at a local HomeDepot. Its puts out a lot of heat, but the oxygen dont last long. "WK5500 Brazing Torch Kit" google it.

@@mikemcelveen2973 lmao.. Wait til you get a 2013+ Pathfinder or 2015+ Murano from up north and you are the unlucky person that has to remove the RF axle. Its worst than the Rogue, Cast iron braket that wont even let go when cherry red from an oxy acetylene torch. I end up cutting a straight slot in it, cracking it with an air hammer then weld it back if its a customer pay job. If its Nissan well i put a new bracket in and axle Just to make Nissan pay for making such a stupid design. .. Glad you got it done.
