So exciting to see that body go on. Looks like an absolutely flawless paint job which will match the rest of the project. You're nearing the home stretch!

this reminds me..... I need to add the firewall to body bolts. Great color and so cool to see this car at this stage in your build. Once you get the body bolted and hard top on you may hear some squeaking and thats just the body settling. Mainly its from where the front of hard top meets the body, those 3 bolts under the windshield. Make real sure you have the rubber trim padding under the hard top where it meets the body. I did two rows of it after the fact. I think the manual shows one. Keep on keeping on and cant wait to see it fully done. Maybe if you do some car shows in Arizona I could bring mine. Love Arizona.

Looks great, can’t wait to see more. I was able to get my “33” titled, tagged and insured this week. I’m a little behind you just started my body work. I’m going to paint it myself, using our local Vo-tech. They have a night class so I be able to use the paint booth.

Even though I thought I would be painting the body, I stepped aside on this one and took it all in. I am planning on doing most of the work on the 66 Van.

Not matter what, put a lot of clear coat on, then you can sand it and have a great looking car. There is a limit to how thick the layers can be chemically. Do the max within guidance.

@@StreetRodJim you bet, I’ve painted a few cars over the years. The last one I did last year I used a newer product called one step. You spray 7 light coats and block sand with 600 wet/dry paper after the third coat. Cut and polish the next day. It turned out great but I’m going back to base/clear. There really isn’t that much time saved and I’m used to spraying it.

Did the engine side panel fit?
