- In this video i'll run through the removal and replacement of the shroud on my BSA R10 TH airgun. Then share my thoughts on whether i like the look of it with or without.
Thanks very much for your great reviews. I first came across your channel when looking for a new rifle on the airgun centre website and your review of the scope is spot on. Actually looking at either the R10 or the Ultra CLX Multi Shot. I’ve got a disability in my back and used to do a lot of hunting for 20+ years, but going to join a local club and start a new hobby. I like mine with shroud on it’s been put on and made for a reason, probably protects the barrel as well 😊👍

Your videos are excellent, you explain things very well . I’m new to air gunning and I have weihrach hw97 springer. I only target shoot at my local range. I’m trying to choose a PCP. This BSA is my favourite, due to its massive shot count.
Can the but sling stud be removed. It’s the only thing that puts me off the rifle because I don’t need it. . Would I need a blank if it can be removed
Thanks Keith. I would presume so yes. To be honest they do not get in the way at all and you do not notice they are there.
Well presented, I prefer mine with the shroud as well. So far mine seems to group well at 25 with JSB exact 453 and Barracuda FT 451, these were recommended by a club mate, they also seem to work well further out on spinners etc. I’ve not tried anything else, be interested to know what you are using
So i use JBS Exact .22 15.89 grains. And JBS Exact express 14.35 grains. But i do not think it is pellet fussy as i have only seen a real difference with JBS Exact Monster or Heavy, and i had to alter the zero a bit as they were dropping under.
My ultra does not like anything from jsb, but loves h+n pellets especially field target trophy 4.52. hope this helps David this finding the right pellet can be very expensive, but you will not go far wrong with h+n, I've been using them for knocking on 40 years now

@@allthingsag938 Yes my 177 has shot all I’ve tried so far very well with a small adjustment for weight, I really like the rifle, it is comfortable and has a quality feel.
Very interesting , did you try shooting without shroud on ?, I’ve heard that it’s better shroud off , I’ve just purchased yesterday , but not been able to zero as of yet

I have uploaded a short for you. As far as i am aware no you can not, but if anyone knows differently please let me know as knowledge is power lolol :)
Thanks for the demo Marcus, I had a play with the rifle after watching it, I do prefer the R10 with the shroud on but with it off and a hogan decimeter on the end it is much quieter, shame really, oh well, sight over sound I suppose..cheers!
Took shroud off my mk2...its useless
By useless I'm guessing it did not help with noise reduction.
